Question:
In choosing Ludicolo, why is it that the set Smogon lists is Swift Swim as opposed to Rain Dish?
I'm running a Rain Dance team, and I want to use Ludicolo as a wall.
I'd imagine Rain Dish to be a better move here instead of Swift Swim, but before I jump to any rash descisions, I'd rather ask for other opinions.
Some help please...?

If you're doing RD, you're better off using him as a sweeper, as there are many more SE attacks by faster pokes outside of ubers than in it, which is where the Rain Dish set is listed.

As previously stated, I'm using him as a wall.
I don't want to use him as a sweeper.
Why is Swift Swim better than Rain Dish for the purpose of using him as a wall...?

Well first off, if you're not using him to subseed then he's a terrible wall, boasting mediocre HP, bad physical def, and slightly above average special defense.

Subseeding relies a lot on speed, so allowing him to outspeed many targets and keep the sub/seed rotation going is useful. Rain Dish lets you run a pseudo Stallrein set only without the weather doing damage or being permanent, which are the best 2 things about stallrein.

In short, don't use him as a wall unless you're subseeding and then speed is more useful than the extra HP outside of ubers.

Actually Ludicolo could make a great annoyer under Rain. Especially when you run Toxic, Leech Seed, Substitute, Protect or something else. But even then Swift Swim is an option as well. In Rain Ludicolo's speed is doubled, meaning you could get a Substitute of before your opponent tries to do something, or you can Toxic your opponent before they Substitute up/ Safeguard. Actually (http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57472) this team makes great use of a stalling Ludicolo (it's uber though but just so you have an idea).

Well alrighty then.
And I shoulda specified that by wall I mean Special wall, lol.

He goes first(unless the opponent also uses priority). Sableye makes great use of payback/priority. If he had better stats a Sableye using stall could be quite awesome.

With rain in effect, do you think a Palkia should be running Timid or Modest nature? I'm just wondering if I need the extra speed or extra power. I'm not sure if Palkia will truly outrun anything with the extra speed (considering that 252 EVs are going into both Special Attack and Speed).

I'm not sure what kind of Palkia you are running, but I would say Timid. His Water moves will already be powered up by rain and with Expert Belt/ Choice Specs they will become quite strong.

But, what exactly would Palkia be outrunning if it had Max Speed and Timid (since I'm not using Choice Specs because this is for doubles and I'm not a fan of choice in dubs).

Well with timid nature you could speedtie with other max speed base 100s like Jirachi, Salamence, opposing Palkia, ...

Does Trick Room affect the order of attacks by reversing order based on the speed stat and move priority, or just one of those?

I never remember which one it is.

I've been absent from competitive play for a while now, and I would like to get back, but before I'd like to know how much the move pool changes in HGSS have effected the metagame?

hey guys i have a question on evs on my battle tower lopunny, for a trick bander would it be better to go 252 hp or 252 defense or a mix of both? i know i want 252 speed for sure , its ivs are 29-31 hp 30-31 def 30-31 speed (low special defense though)

Lopunny will benefit more from EVs in HP, since that's the lower stat to begin with (so the proportional boost is greater).

Where are the best trainers in Diamond I can rebattle considering Experience gain?

Theres a spot in D/P on route 22 where you can use the Vs. Seeker for the first two fishermen and nab yourself an easy 12 000 exp gain in under 2 minutes battling water poke. I'm there now lvling my electivire gaining a level each time.

Question: In the strategy pokedex, the min and max stats for each pokemon are calculated how exactly? because i EV trained my electivire and im at lvl 82and i miss those stats by a bit...

To clarify: a lvl 100 electivire with a mild nature and 36 atk/252 spa/220 spe has these stats: 291-291-153-317-206-281

my lvl 82vire has these stats:229-234-126-244-159-231
at the rate its going he isnt going to make those lvl 100 stats.. why?

Two reasons mainly. 1) You may not have EV trained it correctly. 2) Your Electivire might not have good enough IVs for the job.

does shiny perfect nincada create shiny perfect ninjask and shedninja?

Yes, Shedinja takes everything from the Ninjask (including any moves that the Ninjask learned right after evolving).

Edit: @ gary the gengar: 120 Atk / 252 SpA / 136 Spe should work just fine. It allows you to outspeed Electrode with Sunny Day, which is what I assume you're using since you have Weather Ball.
