Do Wi-Fi battles add Pokemon to the dex? If not, how can I possibly add Hoenn and Kanto starters to my dex so I can look for them on GTS?
 
If I want to lead with Metagross in Ubers, should I use Lum Berry, and is Trick Metagross an effective lead to mess-up and Pursuit various other leads?

- Explosion
- Stealth Rock

Once again, we have another example of a common OU lead working well in Ubers. Metagross is able to smash min HP Deoxys-S with a combination of Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch and knock out Max HP Deoxys-S about 60% of the time. Deoxys-A will never KO you with any move it has and will easily fall to two Bullet Punches. In many cases, Metagross can even set up Stealth Rock while simultaneously beating Deoxys-A. Thanks to Lum Berry, Darkrai's Dark Void will be useless, and you will always KO Darkrai with Meteor Mash + Bullet Punch. Against Shaymin-S, it will only be able to 2HKO you with Earth Power, while you will KO with Meteor Mash + Bullet Punch around 84% of the time. Metagross will falter against Groudon, Kyogre, and Dialga leads, though, as Metagross is unable to do a significant amount of damage to them (outside Explosion), and all are capable of doing a massive amount of damage back.

Pal Park them from Gen 3, or get them in a trade from someone else. Or you can get one of each in HG/SS after beating Red, according to Bulbapedia. Of course having done that there's no need to GTS.

Are Zen Headbutt (in OU) and Light Screen good options as well? Light Screen with Occa Berry can force Azelf to Explode of switch out, giving me a free turn to use SR...

I just restarted playing Pokemon after not doing so since Crystal, I don't even own other versions apart from Platinum. ^^
But thanks anyway, I'll just have to wait vor HG/SS, already got SS preordered.

Psychic is a poor offensive type so no one uses it unless it's a Pokemon's only STAB option. Light Screen on the Lead isn't a very good idea because Metagross wouldn't want to give up any of its other moves and you can already beat Azelf with Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch anyway.

And no, you cannot add Pokemon to your Pokedex by battling over Wi-Fi or from the Battle Frontier.
 
Can Trick lead Metagross work in Ubers? What other sets do? Should the OU lead be used in Ubers at all?

Still, Zen Headbutt destroys the likes of anti-lead Machamp...

I suppose Trick could work to surprise your opponent but getting rid of Lum Berry probably isn't the best idea. I think most of the sets Metagross can run work in Ubers. Unfortunately, that's about all Zen Headbutt does.

I don't think any (or more than a few) Deoxys-A's run Psycho Boost since Psychic is such a bad attacking type in Ubers. Metagross seems like he would work, unless it's raining (then he gets hit with Thunder off his lower defensive stat).

Zen Headbutt has an actual use on Metagross for hitting Rotom-a hard on the switchin (and maybe Zapdos, haven't done any calcs). Obviously, this is not particularly useful in ubers. Zen Headbutt probably should not be used on an ou lead either, hitting only Infernape #6, Roserade #7, Machamp #16 and Crobat #17 any harder than earthquake or meteor mash (you should probably run from ape regardless, roserade is beaten anyway if you have lum, and Machamp and Crobat are relatively uncommon...).

As far as trickscarf on an ou lead, there's a set for it on the analysis. No idea how it performs in ubers, though I suspect poorly, as it doesn't outspeed Deoxys-s or Deoxys-a, gets slept by Darkrai, and loses to Groudon...

If you go to "http://www.smogon.com/", why does it say "It Works!" Does it have anything to do with Metachu, or Smogon Gold (are they the same thing)?

If you use Rain Dance, while it is still raining, does it do nothing or does it stop the rain?

When uploading a recorded battle to the 3rd floor of GTS; it gives you a number. How do I upload said number to, oh, say, my computer?

Who knows yet?

But if you use Rain Dance while it is raining, the move will fail. However, if you switch in with a Pokémon that has the ability Drizzle while the field is in the 5 turns of a Pokémon's Rain Dance, it will create a permanent rain that only ends if another weather move is used or if a Pokémon with a weather nullifying ability switches in
 
Oh yeah I have this one question, and it seems that it belongs here just as much as any other place on Smogon. Is there any way I can change my age set to my account?
 
Not sure. I've never seen them before. But apparently they are in Platinum and HG/SS. They have different front sprites too.

Edit: Scratch that, you're right they are the animations that occur when they are sent out. Thanks.
