Can Light Screen be used on LeadGross? The analysis mentiones Reflect on Trick leads, but isn't protecting Metagross from the special side a better idea?
Yes, Metagross does learn Light Screen. You don't have to follow entirely what the Smogon analysis suggests. Some changes will make your Pokemon less predictable.

Also, is TrickGross a good idea for an Uber lead? Trick+Pursuit messes-up Deoxys-S and the many other Psychics...
Sure thing, and then you will have to build a team that can benefit from that scheme. Not much else to say here.

I haven't played OU for so long, so I have a question.
Which spectrum has the OU metagame currently shifted to? Offensive? Bulky Offensive? Stall? Balanced and etc?

Which seems to be the most effective playstyle or popular playstyle at the moment?

can anyone who had been playing OU extensively in shoddy let me know?

If so, would SR/Light Screen/Bullet Punch/Explosion and Trick/Stealth Rock/Meteor Mash/Pursuit respectively be valid?

They both work, but I would recommend changing Bullet Punch over to Meteor Mash since it allows Metagross to deliver more damage. Metagross should be fairly bulky enough to take a few hits anyway, and the switch-in Groudon will get KO by combo of Meteor Mash and Explosion. The second move set you gave also does fairly decent job of eliminating those weak Psychic-types, and Choice Scarf trick can ruin some of the things that likes to switch-in to Metagross such as Groudon, Kyogre, Forretress, Skarmory, and etc.

Is there a list of UU Pokemon that function just fine in OU?
From experience I know of Milotic, Cresselia, and Uxie, but are there any others?

there are a lot of UU Pkm that can work in OU. Raikou, Ludicolo, Hitmontop, Kabutops, Rhyperior are the first that come to my mind, but other can work in standard depending on your team.

Making a compenhensive "list" is a bit hard, but I'll name a few...Gorebyss and Huntail can make great attackers, Alakazam and Jynx can sweep if you have Magnezone, Walrein is obviously obligitory on Hail teams and can check Salamence with Thick Fat versions, Intimidate Arcanine checks Scizor, and Houndoom can sweep while also defeating Scizor.

depends. with a lower CRE you're going to see a lot of offense, mostly bordering between bulky and hyper offense. DDMence/Gyara, ScarfTar, and CBScizor are all common, so build your team accordingly. higher CREs will get you a lot more stall and semi-stall teams, so watch out for Sub-Charge Rotom, TormentTran, and your basic walls.

I'd say use whatever style you're comfortable with, but offense works great if you just want a quick spin in the metagame to see what there is.

There are very few UU Pokemon that DON'T function "just fine" in OU. In general, Pokemon are UU for one of three reasons. A, they're usually outclassed. B, they're only useful on a few teams. C, people haven't found their good sets. In the case of A, find a way they're not outclassed. For B, if you have a team that can make good use of them then that's fine. C is unlikely but can happen.

Clefable can work well, though the only reason I used Wishfable over WishBliss is because the latter can't be easily had for cartridge play. Porygon2 is NU and is quite capable in OU, able to deal with some Intimidate users and some Heatran as well as carrying out general walling.

EDIT: My question: Is it possible to enter either WiFi or local wireless battles with less than maximum PP on a move? I'm thinking of the move Trump Card - if you could start battle with 1PP in it, you'd have a one-shot 200BP normal special move, learnt by all the Eeveelutions and Slowking. Unusual, but certainly powerful, even though it would always be a non-standard option.

They also work great in Ubers (Water Pokemon <3)...

Bullet Punch is a nessesity to eliminate Sashers...
If I run Agiligross, should I use Zen Headbutt? Should Agiligross be used in Ubers?

Smogon Analysis Pages seem to be down now, so I just needed to make sure:

What is the EV spread for the current Classic Mixmence set?

80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe

or

80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe

In that case, maybe go with Bullet Punch/Meteor Mash. Bullet Punch coming from an Adamant 252 Atk Metagross does 26.6%-31.6% against the Spike Lead Deoxys-S, while Meteor Mash does minimum of 66.1%-78% and Bullet Punch afterward should finish it off.

If you choose Pursuit/Bullet Punch or Meteor Mash/Pursuit, the problem with Pursuit is that it will become 40 base power since most of the lead Deoxys-S with 252 HP/4 Def usually don't ever switch out against Metagross as they simply continues to spike. The damage from 40 base power Pursuit becomes 35.5%-42.1%. If it's Meteor Mash/Pursuit then the purpose of preventing it from getting two layers of spikes is unaccomplished since Pursuit is not a priority and Meteor Mash can miss, while Bullet Punch/Pursuit would have let it get three layers of spikes because of the lack of damage.

So I would probably say Meteor Mash/Bullet Punch/Light Screen/SR, or Meteor Mash/Bullet Punch/Pursuit/SR or Light Screen. You can probably use Iron Plate to increase the damage output against Deoxys-S leads, but it might be a poor choice and is just a thought tossed out.

For agility set, use Meteor Mash because it has greater base damage and has a small chance of raising attack by one stage. Psychic-type move has poor coverage even in the Uber tier. If you're willing to use it, you're going to have something in the team that will remove Metagross' counters. Take a look at the team option for Metagross when the analysis page is back online.

Does anyone know where I can find the list of the pokemon you face in the d/p BT. I'm trying to figure out what Absol killed me at 54.

I must have Explosion on the "ordinary" LeadGross, not?
Not always. Metagross does act as a good measure against some of the powerful Psychic/Dragon-types in OU and Uber, so there are some benefits in keeping him alive for later use in the game. His move set also depends on what team you're making. Like if it's gonna be something offensive, then Explosion would help. But if you need something that can Pursuit Latias or Deoxys and something that can take those Dragon-type attacks, then Metagross with Pursuit might make a good candidate.
Also, Metagross should be Jolly with a TrickScarf...
Yes. Take a closer look at the EV spread once the analysis page is back online.

I'm going to be in America when HG/SS is released, and I plan on getting it on Sunday. I'm not getting a copy reserved, and I'm planning on going to a WalMart. How busy would it be there, and am I probably going to get myself a copy?

It will definitely be busy on the release date. You might have to think of other places to visit if the copy ran out. I got most of my games from Frys, Best Buy, and GameStop. Good luck, I guess.

Thanks! I'm from Canada, and I've pre-ordered loads of very popular games in my time. The only one that had any line (And what a huge line it was!) was for Brawl. I'll definitely make plans in case they do run out.

I'm now wondering, can you reserve games at WalMart?
