A pokemon's "shinyness" is determined by both the poke's PID and the trainer's ID/SID. He was saying that that's a flawless timid spread that is shiny for a lot of ID/SID combinations, but it may not necessarily be shiny for you. The RNG guide on site has a lot of good info on how to find spreads that are shiny for you, though.

Anyone know where there is a good guide to Whirl Islands in SS. I don't even need a guide, just something that has a good map of all of them!?

If a pokemon uses belly drum and gets guts activated, does the guts boost anything, of is it just counted as +6 boost from belly drum?

Does anyone know if I use an AR to catch two pokemon with 30s and 31 IV's...
Then I breed them...
Will the offspring be detected by ANYONE or proved by ANYONE that it is hacked?
Or will it be seen as legit? Even with the Gamestop Checks that they do on your DS during the tournaments?

I'm sorry if someone has asked this question before...If so, Forgive me.

I think they may do checks on your whole cartridge, not just the team you use. You may be alright if you release the parents - but then again, you may not. For obvious reasons, details of tournament hack checks are murky.

I know of the highest possible top 5 pokemon in all stats for each stat as shown here

http://www.arkeis.com/basestats.htm

and with EV training they can max out said stat,

but that website also mentions some discrepencies of pokemon with hold items surpassing the pokemon listed as top tiers for base stats such as:

"Note that a Medicham with Pure Power has a max attack of 480.
A Marowak with the item Thick Club has a max attack of 568.
All Pokemon with the item Choice Band will have their max stat increased by 50%. For instance, a Salamence with 405 Attack will have its Attack increased to 607 by using a Choice Band"

after reading that, i noticed that
The Marowak with the thick club had higher attack than Attack deoxys at a max attack stat of 504

there are also other discrepencies for other stats.
my question is, are there other discrepencies i should know about? is that all there are? are there more? if so can somebody please list them? preferable for as much stats as possible.

So I guess...If I hack the Power Items (The ones to boost EV training)
and use it on my pokemon..then delete them afterward, I hope my whole cartridge is still seen as legit x.X

so I'm EV training my pokemon up but I've run into a dilemma and this has happened a few times before and I can never figure it out...

I've given my pokemon 10 HP up, killed 19 marill with machobrace+pokerus that should get me to 252 HP EVs and I killed 19 Staravia before going back to the department store to buy 10 carbos, however, when I try to administer the carbos it says it will have no effect... (everytime this seems to happen is with carbos and speed meds) if I give it a protein it does have an effect.

Is this because I've used the macho brace ? thats the only reasoning I can come up with.

No, its because you can only get the first 100 evs in a stat using vitamins. If a pokemon has over 100 evs in a stat, and you want to give it a vitamin to increas the sat, it will fail. So give vitamins before training.

Hey im a bit new here, is there a place where i can post about a pokemon that i just hatched and get some info on what others thing about it. Kinda like should i keep it or breed for another?? Could i do that here?

ah so its only the first 100.. i thought it was just 100 period...

Will the baby learn an egg move if a female Pokemon with the move mates with a Ditto?

edit:
never mind just found out that it won't work

Depends on if you're running offensive or defensive suicune

Okay, let me rephrase the question... if I could get any Suicune, but once I picked it I was stuck with that Suicune, which nature would be the overall most useful for the majority of teams?

Also, found an AR code for Platinum that lets you Namerate any pokemon's name to a name of your choosing--is there anything wrong with taking a redistributable and renaming it?

Can you RNG in HeartGold? if so how?

It's the same as RNG in Platinum it's just you can't advance the frames with the Journal.

What moves would you give to a Timid Nature Gyarados?

I'd just get a new Gyarados since its SpAtk is so low that even with Modest and 252 SpAtk EVs it still wouldn't have as much SpAtk as its Atk with 0 EVs.

Code:
| Suicune | Nature | Bold | 54.5 |
| Suicune | Nature | Timid | 35.5 |
| Suicune | Nature | Other (2) | < 7.8 |

I'd say go for Bold since it's used the most. I think the Pokemon will pass a hack check if you change its name but I suppose it depends if the OT is alright with you renaming it, especially if your going to put it in a trade thread.

I am not sure how to answer this, since I'm not sure what you want to do with the information. Is there a specific reason you want to know this? Pikachu holding Light Ball has Deoxys-like offenses that easily make it onto those charts. But is this just an intellectual exercise, or do you care about competitive potential? Many of the Pokemon on those lists are either Uber or have crippling drawbacks.

I got a simple question. If a pokemon with SIMPLE uses FOCUS ENERGY what critical stage would they be at? 3 or 5?

And if it is 5, couldn't the maximum crit ratio exceed 50%? For exampe a NUMEL who uses FOCUS ENERGY with any hold item that increases crit ratio putting onto stage 6 (Or focus energy Baton Passed Bibarrel holding an item)?

Show your logic, evidence or source. None of this "I think" business please. This has been bugging me for ages...

I'm just starting up my Soul silver game after about 6 months of not playing pokemon and before I start up my game I'd like to know, what kinds of things are determined by your trainer ID in HGSS? For example in DPP there were the trainer Avatars that were shown in the union room and on your friend pass.

I also know that shiny IV spreads are determined by your trainer ID which brings me to my second question, can you still use Wichu's program to determine shiny IV spreads for HGSS?

Okay, I got a question here. What is the best way to counter machamp in OU?? Earlier today, I was versing someone who was abusing machamp's No Guard Dynamicpunch combo, making it almost impossible to find a safe switch in. Even with ghost types, machamp often carries payback, so they aren't a safe switch in.
