Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

it actually makes things for entei en raikou a hell of a lot easier. you can now check your seed inside the E4 right before lance and do frame advancement from there on out. so no more wild pokemon catching and hoping the NPC doesnt screw your frame over.

gokufan: no it wont since you wont have roamers out than and havent fulfilled all the requirements for elm testing.

romsstar the link to the new seed verifier doesnt work. it just opens a blanc screen for me

Hmm.... now what should I do.... Master Ball on Raikou + rare candies, and checking the seed in RNG Reporter should do, right? :)

My bad, fixed the link.
btw: The current seed finder with Elm works great as was reported by Nexus, you can now keep track of your frame actually.

Where can I find information on how to use your program for checking seed via the Elm method? I get that he consistently advances frame by one, but does what he say determine seed?

I killed all the roamers, and I in fact want to abuse for them as well by saving in Lance's room.

For time being I didn't write it yet as I lag some results for confirming.
I don't like writing information I can't be sure of..
So you probably have to look for the information in the program and in your mind for time being.

@Romsstar: I justd read the guide in your sig and I have a few quick questions about the Seed Finder. I'm saved 1 step before Lance, since I was doing the old fashion way for abusing Entei/Raikou, but I realised it wasn't Sunday so I couldn't advance the frame correctly. With the verifier, how do I use it right now to see if I hit the delay? It sounds like I need one roaming right now (would be Raikou since I'm aiming for Entei), so do I need to release them and then just kill of Entei?

Yeah you need one roamer in order to check it's position at the moment, and yeah just kill off Entei and then do the Lance stuff again if you want to RNG Entei
But I'll try to write the Elm Guide a bit later, so you might use that then.
(As you can use Elm for Seed Verifying as well)

i am now making my way through the E4 to lance to check if the elm method works for seed verification. i plan to do the same as COKTAL so ill let you guys know how it works out.

Well you dont exactly have to hatch them you just have to have an Egg generated, after its generated you dont even have to take it you can just have him keep it and toss it
But the RNG Reporter will tell you your egg frame
It will say something like frame "3"
Now the THIRD egg will be shiny so you would toss two eggs and the third egg that is generated you would save and and it will be shiny :)
so is this the right way to do it?
1. Sweet scent to catch a high level pokemon and check your seed
2. fly to the daycare and put your parents in.
3. say you have a frame of 5, have four eggs generated then save on the fith one.
Is this what you do?

Yes, but make sure the fifth one is generated before you save.

Confirming: Current Seed Finder actually works fines
Initial Seed Finder Elm Method currently works only with no roamers as it seems.

With Roamers out the Initial Seed combination don't fit though, maybe I'll have to take this into account for the Elm Method with Roamers out.
I'll try to kill of the Roamer to see if the combination works then.
If so maybe I'll add a new point like "Elm+Roamers"
If so this would be nice anyways as we do have to kill them off for E4 advancing anyways.

EDIT:

Somehow I can't get Seed Verifier to calc Lat Advcancement right.
Stay tuned guys.

This post is going to be for Sweet Honey Tree abuse:
Do we have a current post anywhere on the forums that will help anyone get the specific pokémon they want to come out of a tree? If not, I am going to compile a list of how to get certain pokémon to come out of certain trees on a specific seed (will add more later):

Non-Munchlax trees:
SEED: BB16028A

Heracross:
- Frame advances before slathering: 12

Wurmple:
- Frame advances before slathering: 6

Aipom:
- Frame advances before slathering: 0

Combee:
- Frame advances before slathering: 3

I will edit in more later.

Thanks so much for the Seed Verifier program, Romsstar! It's going to be a huge help. I have a few questions about it:

1. It has been verified that the roamer method works 100%, no questions asked, right?
2. What exactly are the "2 Steps Output", "Handle Entei first", and "Color Change" checkboxes for?
3. I understand the frame/time converter at the bottom, but is the Time Memo simply just a "notepad" for you to jot down your time; it has no actual function within the program?
4. Do the "forced seed advance" and "seed advance" texts tell you what your starting frame is for that seed with those roamers out (they are the same)?
5. When the text "[roamer] advancement" appears next to the Elm phone call information, does that mean that that specific phone call causes this roamer to advance one route?
6. Do the spaces between certain coin flips mean anything, or are they just caused by your choice of formatting?

I'm trying to breed for perfect IVs and I've verified that the frame I am saved on is 3. My usual seconds is 14 and my delay is around 596-604. What is my target frame? Also, how do I check the hatched Pokémons IVs as if I use my AR I'll start the game at the wrong seconds/delay thing =\ .

1. Yes, so far it seems to be quite straight.
2. 2 Steps output will skip a seed and give you seed 2,4,6,8.
Handle Entei first don't do really much besides switching position with the Raikou box, but so far I couldn't see what purpose it actually should serve. Color Change will mark your seeds, so your range is highlighted
3. Yeah just a notepad
4. I wish I could say yes but this is a point which is bugging me right now as the Lat Advancement is not calculated right at all it seems...
I checked if it was me who crushed the code somewhere, alas no:(
5. Nope this is actually your starting frame with that Roamer out. It seem to work just fine for Entei and Raikou, but not for Lat...
Check my "How to" in my Sig maybe this helps you if you not did already.

Edit:
- Fixed Lat Advancement Calc, Seed Advance and Forced Seed Advance now really do show you the Starting Frame, but keep in mind, that 3 is 4 in fact as Seed Verifier starts calculating at 0 (which is frame 1 of course).
Will upload 0.3 Version later.

Okay, something fucking unfair is going on with my frame advancing. After two nasty near misses, I figured out that my target seed starts on a frame of 4. I then need to advance this to 8 or 9, then sweet scent, to get an post-battle actual of 17 or 22, respectively. So I did this by doing one radio advance on This Town, These People, for an advance of 3, then Silver Drama for an advance of 1, adding up to 4, and 4+4=8. So then I sweet scent and find out that I've hit my seed, and I'm now on an actual of 17. My target frame is 32, so I advance five times with This Town, These People (32-17 = 15, 15 = 5*3), then release the dogs. After tracking down Raikou, I find that for some unfathomable reason, I've somehow hit a frame of 38. I'm sure I didn't miscount my advances, so I don't know what the fuck's gone wrong. I'm beginning to absolutely despise the RNG.

I have another question about radar abuse:
Do pokéradar pokémon have a monster frame the same as sweet scented pokemon? By that I mean, when I walk into the patch of radar grass, will the RNG be advanced by 1, by walking into the patch, or 3 (2 for monster frame, 1 for walking into patch)?

That Town, These People is inconsistent(I had the same problem when I was getting my Raikou).
Change the date so that Trainer Profiles is in the Lower-left

Please respond :) - if you're willing to help me via MSN, AIM or skype that would be awesome as well.

you have to add 6 to the actual frame after a battle. If you actual frame of the pokemon you just battled is 17, then you will be on frame 3 directly after the battle. This would explain why you are exactly 6 frames above your desired frame

seriously people, if you don't know how to work sweetscent then don't use it
