Actually I'm not asking in the case of me hacking. I have hacked items, such as berries, equip items and the like. I would really love it if I didn't need to buy a copy of HeartGold to transfer any RNG pokemon I have (if I RNG), or if I need to transfer anything at all to a clean cartridge, regardless of RNGing. I've AR'd on this cart which is why I need to know. lol

Exactly my point - Now that you know you are going to ask the organizer - Who is the organizer? Mike? Dave? Pete? Eric? Angela? Dan?

That is why i said "Know your TPCi Staff - it will get you far young learner."

You know who does what - and you will get your questions answered correctly and accurately.

Just don't hack, and you won't have to worry. Nuf said.
 
Well, my Soul Silver is pure. All shinnies caught by me/traded for on smogon. Same with battle ready/tested pokemon. All pokemon tested and shown to be legit. 100% untouched by an AR or hacking device. Hack checkers, suck it. ;)

So now that my team is being trained, I can play and get the hang of it and be set.

Don't be too naive. You never know what could technically be a hack that you traded for here. I'm seriously clearing my entire HG cart right before the competition. I'm not risking it at all.

I mean, seriously, guys... Why on earth do you ask how much you can get away with? If they crack down this year you'll regret having those extra items or a random hack in your box... idk. It just seems like a really obvious answer to a really stupid question.
 
I got an SID from someone but i immediately got my poke back. And the only other trade i did was with one of my close friends so i could transfer something... i think my HG cart is definitely clean :)
But what if a poke came from a flash cart? or if you transfered it from a real game to flash cart then back? It's still legit right?

Also, i might plan on not RNGing if a good location is near me in a really short date... i probably wont have enough time to do it :(

I really plan on transferring any Pokemon I am using to a clean HG cart as well. Plus, I'd like to buy HG to get a Kyogre (among other things). I don't want to risk anything either now that I think about it.

I think you should wait for the locations to be revealed first... and just buying HG for a kyogre is a waste... i can give you mine, in fact it hasnt been caught yet (and you can trust me, but if you dont thats fine)
 
I'm not planning on using any Pokémon I got off Wi-Fi at all; I'm breeding/SRing my whole team (and my brother's team) myself. As we don't have an AR, we should be clear :)

0x04-05, 0x42-43, 0x5E and 0x64-67 are almost certainly just padding, not unknown. So as long as this we have no idea how this data is generated, there is absolutely no way to be certain your creation can pass a hack check. At least, not something cooked up from scratch. You might be able to change moves or EVs, but that's it.

If you create a Pokémon, set it to 00, that should do it.

*not cheating because rng-ing on emulator is waaaay faster, and I don't want to forget to input some important data*

I only saw the no random drawings in terms of the Last Chance Qualifier...

which is coincidentally the only one I'll be able to go to.

EDIT: Nevermind. I just didn't check the regional FAQ.
 
ok i will say the pro and cons

+

- no random drawings
- cologne is nice for me
- 4 Spots in Europe per country but thats more a - (look under)

-

- 4 Spots but 2 have to pay for them..as if pokemon players have 3000 Dollars ready for a trip..thats ridocolous.
- IF YOU ARE TOP 4 YOU CANT EVEN COMPETE ON ANOTHER VGC. THATS HORRIBLE. SO IF YOU ARE 3. OR 4. in EUROPE YOU ARE THE BIGGIST LOSER EVER OR HAVE BETTER RICH PARENTS OR SELL YOUR BLOOD/SOUL.
- Only 1 Person flight, exepct you are under 18.
- No Italian Spots though they announced it even in Italian.

sorry at all it sucks for eupoeans still more than ever.
 
There's still a limit of 768 seniors first come first served. Still better than 128 lottery but hopefully no sleepovers such as the wii for christmas few years ago.

At least I'm relieved my local location does not conflict with anything else, so Newark NJ here I come.
