Does emloop do anything that Pikatimer/JavaRNG doesn't?
There is a new version where this bug was fixed and now it's supposed to work for everyone.if I remember correctly... no... but Pikatimer doesn't work for a lot of people

So is 491 your average delay when button mashing? I'd normally use a higher delay, and then use emloop to help hit it...
So, can I assume that 491 is the delay you usually get, and that your usual delay is odd? In which case, what seconds value do you usually get?
And that seed doesn't give those Elm responses... That time and delay gives the seed 800901F5, which does give those Elm responses. And that spread doesn't seem to be available on either of those seeds...
While the seed verifier is nice where I can check the call patterns for at least the first 10 rings to professor elm, I was wondering if there's a way when I advance frames by radio channels whether or not it's possible to have a frame locator to determine which frame I'm possibly on based on the past 5-10 calls to professor elm from that same seed. This would be useful if I'm tapping those inconsistent +3 or +11 channels to reach much higher frames if necessary.
The delay I usually get is actually 501. That's just the delay I got from the RNG Checker. I'd give more info right now, but I'm in the computer lab and not in my dorm room. The seconds is usually 17, but I did use Sweet Scent to generate the Pokemon every time. (First outside area on Mt. Silver with Arceus behind me).
So the info I posted earlier doesn't add up? This is just making me more and more confused...
I'm back in my room and I'm trying to figure it out, but it's just giving me a headache. What's Emloop? What's Pikatimer? I felt like I was cross referencing so much yesterday that I didn't know what was up. Do I need my Trainer ID or SID to RNG for IVs? It's very possible I made a mistake, but I don't know where it was.
Here are the seconds and delay that I recorded through various trials in just testing and seeing what I get.
Seconds Delay
18 501
17 501
18 503
18 503
18 499
17 495
17 485
17 483
Is this not nearly enough tests? I notice that my delay started continuously getting shorter, but my seconds are firmly around 17/18. I just really don't know what to do. Is there a way that anyone could explain it simply enough for an idiot like me to easily understand it? Sorry if I'm asking way too many questions and I'm really sorry I can't figure it out for myself, but I really don't know what to do.
I'm not sure how much background you have in RNG abusing, but from looking at your data, I'd think you need to do more tests. Why?
1)Your seconds should always be the same. This is because the seconds isn't how long it took you to hit A on the continue screen, but the actual DS clock time when you hit A on the continue screen. A good way to do this is to synchronize w/ an external clock. I usually hold down on the button on the DS touch screen confirming time change until my PC clock turns to the next minute, then let go to make it synchronized w/ my PC's clock. If the DS clock is synced w/ the external clock, I just reset when the external clock changes to the next minute. This helps b/c you start at 0 seconds if you reset at the right time, and then progress to whatever seconds it was on the DS clock, giving you the amount of seconds it took to get to the continue screen.
2)Once your seconds are the same, do some more tests to see which delay you hit most. From your results, it could be either 501 or 503, b/c each appears 2 times each. You want the delay that appears the most, due to you being human and not a fast paced computer. I usually do around 10 test runs.
In my experience, my delay is almost always never right based off my tests. I usually find out my delay when I'm actually RNG abusing for something. Example, for HG/SS I reasoned my delay was 495 from test runs. When RNG abusing for a legend, I was off by a hundred! So I just changed by average delay to 395, and it's been that ever since. I don't know why my tests were off, but to each his own.
You may not even get the seconds the same the entire time, I sure didn't. But you want to do enough tests to get a good idea as to where you're at in the process.I don't have very much background in this at all. That's why I'm so very very lost. I need to do more tests until I get the seconds the same the entire time? But where do I go from there? Will it all just fall into place?

There is a random number generator.
But the numbers are not random.
Given a known starting number, we know the sequence of "random numbers" that will be generated.
This starting number is called a "seed".
In Pokemon this seed is created by the combination of two things:
1. the TIME OF DAY AND DATE, as it is set on your nintendo DS at the exact instant you press A on the continue screen.
2. The number of 60ths of a second that have elapsed between your game starting and hitting continue. We call this the DELAY.
SO
You goal is to hit a certain seed.
To do this you need to hit continue at a specific TIME and with a specifc DELAY.
calibration is you LEARNING how to do this.
If you can't hit the same second every time, then you are not done learning.
Keep trying. Adjust what you are doing until you can hit a second consistantly.
Once you can control your seed then you need to ...
control your frame.
remember, knowing the seed means you know the SEQUENCE
well, you might want the 1000th number in that sequence.
This is called a frame.
You "advance the rng" to get to a certain frame.
When you enter the game the frame is ONE (1)
You do shit to get up to 1000.
Then you catch your pokemon.
Or collect your egg
or collect your wondercard.
or whatever it is that you are doing.
sudowoodo and especially red gyarados have wandering NPC's including gyarados itself.I was wondering, do sudowoodo, snorlax, the red gyarados, game corner(s), eevee, and dragon's den dratini have wandering NPC's?
sudowoodo and especially red gyarados have wandering NPC's including gyarados itself.
snorlax can be controlled if defeated all NPCs beforehand, and there's no NPC's for the dragon den dratini. I don't know about the game corner pokemon & eevee.
I have been missing my second value lately either being 1 high or 1 short. How do i fix that on pikatimer without screwing with my delay?
Guys I need a way to find a good seed to find an Adamant Egg with Ability 1 but without being shiny... is there any program that can do that for me? (RNGREporter only find shiny seeds)
