I was thinking that it would be pretty interesting if B/W pull something like Giovanni off, where one of the gym leaders or elite 4/champion was the leader of the evil organization.

Looking back, only RBY had the surprise 6th fight after you beat the champion. For 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, you can pretty much predict who the champion will be if you have knowledge of the series. (Whoop-dee-doo, that random adult has been stalking me the entire game, I guess who he/she is?)

But say the evil organization leader is the champion. You beat him/her the first time as the climax of the "save-the-cover-legendary" arc. Then you meet him/her at the end of the elite 4. It'll be something like:

"The first time I saw you, I've always had a feeling that you'll be a thorn in my side, and my hunch proved true when you foiled my plan. But in fighting you, you've stirred a feeling within me, rekindled a love of pokemons long lost within me...blah blah blah."

Essentially instead of a super goody-goody champion, you have one more alone the line of an anti-hero that went on the wrong path because he/she had reached the top. It would pull off a "darker" image without resorting to blood and gore, and if successful, could demonstrate how strategies and EV could transform a bunch of pokemon (the first fight) into a formidable team. (second fight.)

I think that sounds like a good change from what the champions seem to be in the newer generations. It would be like the classic "good vs. evil" theme which would seem to fit the connotation of the title well. It would also show that power has the ability to corrupt easily, like it does in the real world. In general, I think I would prefer it over the more good-oriented champions, and would be a welcome surprise.

That's what happened in Colosseum. Es Cade the mayor was the real villain of the game.

So I was looking over the list of OU pokemon, seeing which ones would be good candidates for GF's "let's take a stage 1-2 poke that's already perfectly capable of doing it's job and give IT an evo instead of something else!" (Blissey, Dusknoir, etc.)

So here are the ones I picked out:
Heracross (though some have been vying for a hera evo, I don't see one adding much)
Tentacruel (lol, let's give tenta 10 more sp.def points and 20 more special attack!)
Breloom
Skarmory
Bronzong
Lucario
Forretress

But when I came to forry, I was like . . . wait a sec . . . this could actually be pretty cool . . . I mean pineco's a cacoon . . . forry's a cacoon . . . no one knows what's inside it-- when is this thing gonna evolve??

So in short, I thought Forry might actually be a pretty cool candidate for an evolution, into some winged steel/bug like scizor, but meant for supporting instead of sweeping. Like a steely-winged moth or something?

Anyway, something like: -20 DEF, -30atk, +20 HP, +20Sp.D, +80 Speed, +Levitate, + Roost + U-Turn

Summary: Bug/Steel/Levitate 95 / 60 / 120 / 60 / 80 / 120 BST: 535 (Knows Roost and U-Turn)

So we get a super fast reasonably bulky steel/bug that can spikes, rapid spin and roost (even if it attacks for shit on both sides). Whaddya think? f-u skarmory! :P (And if they really wanted to be a dick, they could give it sleep powder/stun spore too if it were a moth)

As someone with an affinity for music, I wonder if it's a little too much to ask for an orchestrated soundtrack?

IDK if the DS could handle it, but if so, twould be pretty epic.

I think it would be able to handle that kind of addition, but I also think that they're too lazy to do so.

Oh, and a forretress evolution would be beast. It probably wouldn't drop so much attack, though. Probably none at all. I can see the other stats moving like they do, though.

lucario evo:read my username

lame jokes aside i dont think they need to evolve pokemons like foretress and/or skarmory any time soon, though a bronzong evo would be nice for him since he sucks so much.

^Wait, I was purposefully making a list of pokemon that could get evos that really don't need them (but BECAUSE they really don't need them, they'll end up getting them, lol).

Looking back, only RBY had the surprise 6th fight after you beat the champion.

*counts on fingers* Loreli, Bruno, Agatha, Lance, Green... nope, no 6th trainer.

Unless you count Missingno, cause it effects the Hall of Fame. :P

EDIT: Blissey should have been a gen4 pokemon, it's the first gen where Chansey just wouldn't work. And Dusknoir is STILL low OU even with the evo, think of where Dusklops will be!

(btw, Breloom evo with 100/90/90 defenses. And you thought it would be hard to take out NOW!)

Normally only lurk, but urge to post...
Gyarados.

(On the topic of completely needless evolutions.)

Edit: Or Arcanine for the BST.

Edit: Response to below post: Yes, that would be part of the point. Plus, it is the Japanese, not Chinese, so yeah...

Evolving Gyarados would fuck with chinese legends. Unless after the fish swims up the waterfall and turns into a flying sea serpent, it evolves again.

Gyarados evolves by swimming up a waterfall made of gold.

If anything, the fire types will get evos, simply to make up for lack of fire types... however, GF didn't really seem to notice in Gen 1-4...

Why is pachirisu even a pokemon. Why.

I would like to see evolutions of pokemon that did not evolve in 4th gen. Like an evolution of chatot or pachirisu. Also, i would also like to have this year's dragon type be a wall instead of sweeper

A Chatot Evo would, hypothetically, be quite a threat as chatot already has 95 Spe and 95 SAtk. So... giving it +10 Spe and +20 SpA would be nice

Chatot is fine the way it is. It would look weird if it got an evolution. It's not like it's a Farfetch'd where it can't battle. Chatot has sweeping potential: high SpAtt, high Speed, good coverage, and Nasty Plot. The thing that ruins it is its incredibly frail defenses. Still, Chatot shouldn't evolve just to get better stats.

@above: are you Overhazard from youtube?! If you are, I am such a fan!

Farfetch'd evo will be fighting/flying. I can feel it. Leek turns into some kind of blade and he gets hella good. Revenge for all the times he was mocked. Like the transition of Magikarp to Gyrados.

Or would he be a special attacker with Air Slash, Aura Sphere, and Vacuum Wave?

fighting farfetchd ftw! brave bird, close combat, SD and extreme speed maybe? or some shit like night slash? i dont know but it would be ftw.

It would indeed be a moth. I never thought about that before. DP had that whole thing about fully evolved Pokemon being mature as living beings, and a bagworm larvae certainly is not a mature creature.

my....posts? yeah, i am reaching the 500 but there is nothing special about that, this aside i gotta say some stuff i forgot to say

chatot:dont need but could make good use of a evo, i tried using him sometimes but its just too frail and cant setup even on scarf bug moves from jolly pinsir since its 2hko.

awesome pokemons evos:choutoshiou, sorry i got your joke wrong, i was not paying attention, that aside i would not be surprised for one of those pokemons to get a useless/overpowered evo any time soon. also please no super fast spiker.

quagsire:well quagmire, because gamefreak like to shock us with surprises(yeah horrible joke i know).

I'd like to see a third evolution for Fearow, Ninetails, and Lanturn, since those are some of my favorites.

Also, do you think Gamefreak might go crazy and make 4th evolutions/Triple types?

I think that'd be cool, anyways.

i mentioned triple types some time ago, people said it was a retarded idea even though i said gamefreak could give triple types only to some shit pokemons that have something to do with the story plot. 4th evos would be kind cool but overpowered for certain pokemons has well. i would rather keep both ideas out until gen 6.

hmm...Ninetales? Has any Pokemon that evolved from an evolutionary stone ever had a second evolution? Who knows? There could be a first.
