Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

So, I'm breeding for ivs and when get all 3 roamers in the right postion, to show I hit the right delay, my Elm calls are different than they should be.

Edit: I just checked a different delay and the Elm calls for that were wrong also, any help?

Are you sure that the NPC did not move or that you did not miss the second or have the wrong time/month/year inputted on your DS? Also double check that the call is not one later.
Can you tell us the roamer locations and the seed by the way as well with what frame you're trying to hit?

I've RNG'd for Bulbasaur twice so far trying to hit frame 163. The first time, I stopped at 162 assuming it to have a frame of 1 like what was said on the 1st page. Instead of hitting the frame I wanted, it hit a spread at frame 167.

The second time I tried it, I made a math error initially thinking it had a frame of 4 (I guess because I was taking my target frame into account when subtracting the difference instead of the frame I stopped at), so I stopped at 159 and ended up hitting 164.

Anyone else had something similar happen to them?

The Kanto starters all start on frame 5 (this information should be added to the front page), so you will need to advance the frame 158 times.

Pika Timer Question

Im am not sure what the 3 different ring periods represent.
One a 10sec, two from 3-0, and three from 10-0.
My delay is 630

I think the firs is to SR (at the 10 sec mark)
Then the 3-0 are like warnings.
Then the 10-0 is another warning which also tells me when to press A on the continue screen.

I ask because I got a delay of 1226 and sat on the post SR screens for like 24 secs.

I have searched in the forums and even the Introduction but it is unclear to me. Particularly This sentece from Page one of this thread
"As soon as the second timer reaches seacher you have to hit in that instant A at the Continue Screen."

PleASE hELp! Thanks in Advance.

The spreadsheet tells you the frame for Method 1, but if you are looking for Method J take the seed from the sheet, plug it into the "Seed (Hex)" box in RNG Reporter and click "Generate", being sure you selected "Method J" and the synch nature above. Then look for your frame, it's typically close to the method 1 frame.
Or you could search for your own spreads using PokeRNG, which IMO is much more convenient.

Ok, easy question from me. I'm RNGing for Latias in HG.
I have all three runners out, and I KO Latias, leaving 2 roamers.
I beat the Elite Four. Latias is regenerated on frame 11, but there are still 2 roamers out. Does this make Latias starting frame 13? (11+2 runners)?

no, latias will be generated on frame 1 since it is only generated at frame 11 when all three roamers are generated simultaneously but since the other 2 are running around latis is the only one being regenerated so her frame is 1.

Ah, ok thanks. But I still have those other 2 roamers out, so if I encountered Latias without making any frame advancements would she be on frame 3?
Okay, but I don't understand monster frames. What are they? Also, how does Method J vary from method 1?
Basically Method J is for Pokemon who can be affected by a Synchronizer. (So not gift Pokemon)

it depends the amount of frames advanced by the roamers depends on the seed so it could be 3 or 4, you can find out by how much the roamers advance the frames by plugging your seed into the seed to time option on RNG reporter.

Trying to hatch a shiny pokemon, and still not working. Here's what I did:

- I saved in front of the daycare lady
- I got a target seed (time, delay, and frame 7)
- I hit the target seed, and verified it by calling Elm 10 times
- I deposited my two parents into the daycare
- I called Youngster Joey, who wasn't looking for a battle, 3 times to advance to frame 6 (I believe the IRNG frame advances this way)
- I rode my bike up and down until an egg was made
- I saved in front of the daycare man
- I got the egg, which should've advanced the frame to frame 7, i.e. the target frame
- I hatched the egg

I got the correct nature and gender, but it wasn't shiny. The SID I am using is based on the IVs of my Red Gyrados from the Lake of Rage, if that matters.

Red Gyarados ISNT a random encountered shiny. Its working like a poke radar abused pokemon. You need a random enoucnter shiny for your SID

the IRNG is advanced by picking up an egg. so with a frame of 6, instead of calling joey, you would pick up 5 eggs. Then on the 6th egg, save before you pick it up, and then collect the egg. it should be shiny with correct natures. also you might want to pick a lower frame.

Meaning if I, say, went for a Heatran with a Timid synch pokemon, I would have 50% chance to get a timid heatran?
And, last question. How do you find good spreads? I know it's a n00bie question, but yeah. I never can.

the nature on the spread is the nature you get, using a synchronizer during RNg abuse for captures just makes the spread you want appear on more frames and here's a nice tool for finding good spreads and its faster than time finder http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2553502&postcount=4

thats totally not the problem>.>
the problem is that he has the wrong SID
That's what I thought too. Although I read somewhere that the Red Gyrados is generated the same way as a chained pokemon from DPPt and could use RNG Reporter's Chained to SID function for that, although I'd have to catch it, get it's stats, reset and do it several times. The problem is that I've already beaten everything (including that) so it sounds like I'm pretty much done unless I restart my game or by some miracle find a random shiny.

If I do reset, though, how can I verify my seed to catch Lugia if you have to catch it before you go to Kanto, which is required to use the Elm method??

you can knock out lugia, beat the elite four and come back and it will be there again

I caught Red Gyara during the game, way before I knew about RNG.

How the heck do I find my SID now?
you can ask someone in the simple requests thread to check it for you if you can't trade then you'll have to hope you stumble across a random shiny.

Does anyone know how to find seeds for certain shiny pokemon for certain spreads? It wasn't explained in the front page, and if it was I didn't really understand.
