Don't scream. It's only a fanart.

I think Pokabu's Evo just looks like a fat version of Pokabu

That footage has been around for a day or two.

Another thought on new types: the daisuki club would have no reason to hide a second typing while revealing a dragon type. It makes sense that either they are both pure dragon, or they have something to reveal.

At this point in the fandom, I wouldn't be surprised if people were speculating more of a Skarmory or a Raichu evolution than a Light-type, or any other new types.

Fanart of starters' evolutionary forms are usually grossly off from the actual ones when they're revealed. It'll be quite a chuckle on my part to see how different this fan stuff is from the actual thing.

i'd leadn more towards pre-evo of skarmory than evo of skarmory
unless ofc everyone pretty gets an evolution another stage so that the evo of skarmory won't be absurdly "overpowering"

The joke was the fact that Skarm actually doesn't learn Hyper Beam or Giga Impact, which fully evolved 'mons usually get. It pretty much led to my personal in-joke of saying Skarmory deserves an evolution solely as a pun on how most people think things like Mawile and Sableye are getting an evolution simply because they lack said moves.

Just like I said on Serebiiforums:

These two might actually be as draconic as Charizard (Daisuki Club said they're the "Legendary Dragon Pokémon"), just like Lugia was the "Guardian of Sea" or something like that even not being Water-type.

It better be fan art. All these Pokemon look too fat to move. And is the Pokabu evo...farting? Wow, that's classy.

And I see Reshiram and Zekrom have been confirmed to be part Dragon by the Daisuki Club...really, did anyone expect something different? I still don't like their designs, but I won't get into that anymore. Time for some secondary type predictions...

Zekrom: Wow, so many possibilities here. Dark seems the most obvious because of the coloration, but its shiny armor and muscles make it look like a Steel or Fighting. I'm actually thinking it might be part Ground, since its tail really reminds me of a big drill. Then again, drilling underground could also relate to the Dark type, so this one's really a mystery to me.

Reshiram: Definitely Flying. Let me explain my reasoning: All of the duos and trios in the Pokemon games have either had the same ability, or abilities that share a theme. Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie all have Levitate, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina (not counting Giratina-O) all have Pressure, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza all have abilities that relate to controlling weather. They could make Reshiram part Ice or Psychic, but then they'd have to give it Levitate...I guess you could argue this, but those wings really make me think Reshi is going to be up in the air one way or another. Trouble is, Zekrom doesn't look like a Levitator, and what ability is the opposite of Levitate? Mold Breaker, maybe...but still, I'm not seeing any duality there.

So, in short, Zek completely stumps me, but I think Reshi will be Dragon/Flying, and the two will either share one ability (probably Pressure :pirate:) or have abilities that compliment each other like Drought and Drizzle did.

Another thought on new types: the daisuki club would have no reason to hide a second typing while revealing a dragon type. It makes sense that either they are both pure dragon, or they have something to reveal.

Despite what I just said about Reshi definitely being Dragon/Flying...methinks you're onto something.

Just got a crazy idea...what if Zekrom ends up being the good Light Type, and Reshi is the bad Dark-typed one? Any fans of Bleach in the house?

The ones dressed in white are the bad guys! Crazy, huh?

I completely agree. They aren't dumb enough to go and spoil everything at once... they gotta keep us in suspence for a while before they make the official typing announcement. If they are Dragon type, I still have high hopes for Light/Dragon and Dark/Dragon, both of which sound very nice to me.

Also, most pre-gen evolutions have only gotten ~15-20 (around that, it has been more, but its never really a GIGANTIC jump) more base stat (max) in one or two stats, while the rest usually ~5-10 more. It won't be that big a jump if he gets one.

A Raichu evolution is impossible because that would be the fourth evolution in a row...unless ofcourse that is implied to more pokemon not only Raichu.

A skarmory evolution would be cool....

Also...I mentioned this the other day but no one cared about it so let's try again...How about triple types in a pokemon?...Ofcourse that would make the type chart even more unbalanced but it could balance some pokemon here and there too.

A baby Skarmory would be one really ugly baby bird. I know people are all "Skarmory is so cool because it's a metal bird!" but if you really look at it, its design is nothing special. It's actually very bland.

Trouble is, Zekrom doesn't look like a Levitator
Did you not notice the wings on its back?

For Reshiram, Dragon/Flying will struggle to differentiate itself from Rayquaza, unless it's defensive and in that case the rock and 4x ice weaknesses hurt.

I think pure Dragon would be the best. Maybe Zekrom could even be like a corrupted Dragon/Dark version of Reshiram, or a mechanical Dragon/Steel version.

Other somewhat-likely possibilities: Normal/Dragon would be quirky though not bring any real advantages competitively. Psychic/Dragon would make sense thematically, but be a kick in the teeth for the Latis and brings a Pursuit-weakness. Ghost/Dragon might also make sense, and it could easily be much more offensive than Giratina-O while still leaving regular Giratina to play the typing defensively, but again brings the Pursuit weakness. I can't see it being part Fighting, Fire, or Ground, so I reckon pure Dragon is better competitively than dragon/something. Don't forget there are no fully-evolved pure dragons to date (excluding Draco Plate Arceus).

Also, going from the footage, what do people think about the music? That hasn't been brought up yet. I think it's alright but nothing special, though maybe hearing the tracks entirely would help.

Of course I noticed them, but I don't think they're gonna do jack. They look heavy, and they're not nearly wide or long enough to lift that big 'ol body and gigantic tail of his into the air. Plenty of animals and Pokemon have vestigial wings and aren't able to fly. By your logic, Empoleon and Scizor should both be able to Levitate.

empoleon is a penguin, penguins don´t fly, also scizor looks like it could fly or have levitate, i guess the liked iron bug instead of iron flying more for him, same goes for adding technician to his abilities

empoleon is a penguin, penguins don´t fly,

Yeah, that's the point. I'm saying that Pokemon with wings don't necessarily have to fly.

Here's a thought...maybe Zekrom and Reshiram both descended from the same ancestor. Reshi took the skies, while Zek went underground. Over time, Zek lost the ability to fly as his wings grew smaller, but he also grew that big tail in order to drill his way through the earth.

Dragon/Normal would be awesome, especially with access to Extremespeed + Swords Dance + Dragon Claw/Outrage. It would compete with Rayquaza since it gets STAB on normal and no SR weak, but it doesn't have the fighting resist/ground immunity. Dragon/Dark would be amazing if given access to a fighting move like Focus Punch, Superpower, or Close Combat. Pure dragon would be cool, but would they really do that? The only two I guess "uber" legends in RBY were Mewtwo/Mew, both of which were psychic type, but I can't really see these two both being pure dragon. At the very least, Zekrom looks part steel or dark (hopefully the latter because I think Dialga is already perfect for the dragon/steel type).

Ever sicne these legends have been released all my friends have been going "OMG NEW LIGHT TYPE LOLOLOL" Then i directed them to the couple hundred pages of this thread where the idea of a new light type was effectively bashed. They were sad face for the rest of the day.

I actually like that idea McLuvdisc. That would make traveling underground for Zek so epic!

I hope they get Abilities as epic as theyre design. Pressure/Levitate is just gay.

Res should get Gale lol. My theorymon ability from way back in this thread, and Zek should get Eclipse like someone else mentioned

He's Dark! He's Dragon! He's Steel! He's Dark AND Dragon! He's Dragon AND Steel! He's Dark AND Steel!

hmm...what if it's none of that? What if it ends up being something random like Bug? I know this Daisuki Club person or group or thing said it's part Dragon but what is this Daisuki thing? Is it any way related to the creators to get accurate information? Because I know nothing about the Daisuki thing, I can't trust their info yet.

Neither of them share any characteristics with insects (or bug-types).

That was a joke on the weird thing of "crappy" pokémon needing to evolve. Really, Raichu was the first thing with a 3-stage line that wasn't good competitively. I could've done the joke with Luxray and Pidgeot, really.

You wouldn't happen to work for Cracked.com would you? I seem to recall an article specifically about the Double Down and the McChicken/McDouble combo...

I do, but let's try to stay on topic, shall we?

Did Daisuke actually say "Reshiram and Zekrom are Dragon-type Pokemon"? Until it's 100% confirmed that this is actually their type, I'm going to hold out for a pure flying Reshiram. If he ends up being Dragon/Flying with Zekrom being Dragon/Steel, I see a hostage situation turning up somewhere in the near future.

IIRC, it's the official Pokémon Fan Club. And every member got an e-mail, which was translated by Yaminokame from Serebiiforums/Pokebeach.

And just as I've said twice, the e-mail said "Legendary Dragon pokémon". Remember Lugia, Guardian of Sea? Yeah, maybe they're dragons like Charizard, not like Palkia.

Agreed. While they're both miles ahead of Penishead Palkia, I can't get past Reshiram's bizarre claw-wings and weird feet. So, Zekrom for me! :pimp:

As far as abilities, I hope it's something other than Pressure, the copout legendary ability. These dudes deserve something unique and awesome, on the level of Drought, Drizzle, or Illusion.

Palkia is cool as hell, it's just unfortunate that players decided to be immature about it. Honestly, stop looking at parts of Pokemon as genitals (new water starter's shell, Palkia's head, etc) and you will find them much cooler. Reshiram's wings are more organic than Zekrom, which is why you might find them weird. In nature, round objects are largely difficult to find, and claws are sharp. Zekrom on the other hand seems to represent the mechanization or industrialization of the world, which is why his body has rounded edges.
