This time I remembered not to vote for myself.

Voted for Cobaph instead...gah why is that thing so awesome???

Nice to see I'm doing decently with the few votes so far, though.

Not entirely so, but hey third isn't bad.
 
I liked solefuge's because it's blue (and red and gray, but whatever). :-D

WHEN IS WSC 37'S POLL GOING TO COME! My awesome hail Cherrim better either be on that list or be Most Original/Humorous (although the latter is as likely as me winning, aka not much, so).

AND I WANT TO KNOW THE MOST ORIGINAL AND HUMOROUS ALREADY! I mean, come on, nothing since Week 29, the first week I entered. I want to know if my sprites are good or not? And Rodan/Igor, do you have some personal bias against me or something (you ignored my PM to you a long time ago >:-( ).
 
i am pretty much dropping the subcategories, they take up too much time (and people dont try as hard if they try to fit in one of those ;) )
 
Yeah I'm not sure how dogfish got in but locopoke didn't..I agree with the decision to remove the honorary mentions though.

Really.. Personally I think the quality of the sprite matters as well, look at the WSC Week 1, they were all extremely high quality. Back when I was a spriting noob i used to like the "cool" looking fusions, even if they had some glaring flaws. I do not think that kind of sprite should win. Now I appreciate the sprites that are just flawlessly done. I think those sprites should be the ones that win.
 
i think it should appeal to the general masses, not just spriters. But next time i will give a more "general" census. If it will get you guys to stop complaining :<

Wow, Rodan, I think you've got it fucking sussed here. Y'know? Judges should definitely all know jack-shit about law, cos, y'know, they'd be completely unbiased then. Seriously, the WSC used to actually be a credible competition, but with themes getting more and more ludicrous and obscure, and the better spriters leaving after getting fed up with Rodan/Igor's stubborn attitude and terrible organisational skills, its just gone to something that just gets mocked. The first 10-15 weeks actually had some competent entries that weren't just messy mishmashes, which, apparently, are what win now because they're judged by 'less biased' opinions. And they also had themes that weren't just 'fuse a billion sprites!'

As to this week, Locopoke's was by far the best entry, and seeing as three of these five massively break the 80x80 size restriction and thus should be disqualified (though I guess its hard to justify banning about half the entries...), its a choice between two. Cobaph's is actually quite well executed. Solefuge's is a bit of a sloppy mishmash but still has some good points. So I guess I'd vote Cobaph.

That is, if I was going to vote. Which I won't. Voting would imply the competition still has some sort of credibility about it.

(Now, I eagerly await the inevitable 'Wizwum is banned from all future WSC's" with no other form of rebuttal...)

Other than the weird pose on Cobaph's, his and Solefuge's are definitely the best (read: only good) ones on the list.

Seriously, I couldn't even tell what the fuck tortferngatr's is, dogfish's is pretty bad (learn 2 circle tool?), I mean, no offense, but come on, he didn't even scratch some music notes, which wouldn't have been hard, instead he just cut off Chatot's head and now it looks like there are FISH swimming around his sprites head. Doran Dragon's is pretty boring on the other hand and I'm not a big fan of it's face, but it's certainly better than the other 2 abominations.

Sorry guys but this is just bad.

@Rodan: lol? What kind of a post is lol? And you couldn't even edit your post just to call the contestant's (who's concerns are VERY valuable) fuckers. Protip: You don't run the competition, the participants do, without them you don't really have anything here do you? You're just here to judge, and from the looks of it, you don't do a very good job.

Rodan let us use an expanded canvas like in the first Mass Fusion contest. See the Steelixsaur of that contest. "Expanded canvas" means 150*150 pixels.

I just abused it.
