Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm using a syncher. I'm giving it another go to see what happens.

Edit:

I apparently landed on the correct delay again, however this time the caught pokemon was not shiny either. The Azelf had the right nature but wrong IVs. What do I do to determine what's going wrong?

ok in terms of azelf, your either advancing the frame by 1 more or less since the crappy adamant spread appears on frame 209 and 211 as well as 214 and 215 but I think its either 209 or 211 your hitting, in the future you can check yourself by inputting the IVs and nature into RNG reporter's main window along with the seed your using, hit generate, and it will display all frames that give this IV/Nature combination.

Hmm. Well, I'll see if I can correct that. It's the only adamant spread I have that's shiny and nearly decent, btw. And no other spread on this particular game has anything good on it.

Edit: Why would the frame do that, btw? There are no NPCs to move the frame.

210 - 1 monster frame = 209

Subtract three pokes in my party, which makes 206

Divided by 2 which makes 103 journal flips

Plus I walk 128 steps with the three pokes to add on three more advances to get 209.

Did I calculate that right?

The monster frame is one. Subtract that first then do the frame advancements and when you get to 0 you should battle a pokemon.

I don't see any roamers on the Pokewatch map. This card was an eBay purchase and the game was already started. So I'm just grabbing the legendaries before I pack it in and try again (and RNG abuse my SID this time). Is there a way to tell if a Roamer is loose other than looking at the Pokewatch map?

Edit: OMG! I walked out of the cave and found a roamer on the map. I'm such a poo. Thank you, Human! :-) I can do this now.

poketch map usually tells you just flip to it and perform an action, such as taking a step and if nothing appears you have no roamers. Alternatively, you can pay mesprit and cresselia a visit and see if they're still sitting there.

Thanks, Nexus. I discovered one roamer after walking out of Azelf's cave. I stupidly assumed the previous gamer didn't trigger any, but he did.

If this ever happens again, do this:

Capture the Pokémon and verify that it is the one you were attempting to catch. If it was not, you may want to figure out what frame it did come from so that you can correct any errors on subsequent attempts before returning to Step 1. You may do this by entering the initial seed into the seed field of RNG Reporter, clicking "Generate", and then finding the Pokémon in the list.

I'm attempting to ID/SID Abuse

Here my question
"If I am using the pikatimer, do I need to aim for 0.00 on the second clock when my trainer"start shrinking"?

and

"to check my delay, do I record the time I when I see the show about the gyarados and capture a pokemon?"

I'm trying to RNG a Palkia but I'm running in circles here...
Using this seed: 52140289
with method J and a modest synchronizer this gives me:
89 114 F9426F72 Modest 0 31 31 31 31 31 31 Dark 70 F M M F

Using the formula counting the frame it gives me 42 flips. (4 roamers: Articuno, zapdos, moltres and cresselia)

So I've hit my seed almost six times, do the 42 flips and yet I find myself always with the same Palkia: 88 239 7C3BEB48 Modest 0 5 11 2 26 17 27 Grass 49 F M M F
THIS one!

My journal flips say: "DIALGA was caught (NIGHT)" and "ROSELIA was defeated(DAY)" do these not advance the frame or what? What other explanation could there be for me always hitting that Palkia instead of the one I want?

I have a question about alibration. When doing so for the first times, how many times should it be done to ensure an accurate range of delay and seconds?

Alright. Thanks Chaos. I've done 9-10, I'll go do some more.

Edit: One more question

Should I hit A on the first delay on Emuloop/Pikatimer/RNG Timer at the "Press Start" screen or the "Start Game/Play GBA Cartridge" screen?

Ok, I finally caught my Palkia but something really strange happened. I kept hitting weird frames until I began seeing I was hitting an even frame, meaning that the -5 I was applying was wrong. So I cut it to -4 and voila, I began hitting a Calm Palkia who was at least at an odd frame. Found out that such Palkia was actually at frame 91, one more journal flip from what I did the first time I hit my seed, flipped the journal 40 times and walked 128 steps. It was "impossible" for I had counted one by one (at this point, I was being very cautious about the flips plus with 40 I knew where it had to end since I was going back and forth). So, after hitting my seed for the 14th time, I decide to only flip the journal 39 times and walk the 128 steps, still using the -4 modifier instead of the -5 I should really have. Boom, the 31/31/31/31/31/31 Palkia appeared.

It was bound to happen and finally I caught my Palkia, but my question still remains for future legendary RNG'ing: How did that modifier became -4 instead of -5? Where did I advance those extra two frames? I know the second question can be answered by saying: Well, you screwed up by one, no biggie. I know this is not the answer for multiple reasons, but most importantly: When you are going back and forth between two journal pages you know which one is the "odd" number page and which one is the "even" number page. In my case, the first was a caught Dialga page and the second a defeated Roselia page. In the attempt where I landed in the 91st frame, the journal ended open at the even page or the Roselia page. In my latest attempt, the last page opened was the Dialga page.

"Well, you went through another caught/defeated page without noticing". Problem is. Besides the "Started at spear pillar page", the only page before the Dialga page was this one:
"Jun. 3 Thursday
Started from Oreburgh City.
Used Strength at Mt. Coronet.
Used Rock Climb at Mt. Coronet.
Got through Mt. Coronet.
Used Rock Climb at Mt. Coronet"

So where did those changes come from? Even if I caught the Palkia I'd still like to know to keep it in mind once I begin RNG'ing the birds.

Alright. Thanks Chaos. I've done 9-10, I'll go do some more.

One the first timer you soft reset(L+R+start+select), either at the game title or in the game,

on the second timer, you press A on the blue continue page on the pokemon game

Um... What do you do when the SR delay time and second delay are short? Because I input the delay of 501 into RNG Timer and it gave me 4.18 and 8.35... The 4.18 is okay, but I need at least 14-15 seconds after a soft reset and I'd only actually get about another 4... Am I totally missing something here?

You should not have gotten any single digit seconds.

What is the delay your aiming for?
What is your calibrated seconds?
What seconds are you aiming for?

edit and your calibrated delay?
