@seismic snorlax, buy the magikarp from the guy in the pokecenter before mt moon. nickname it "SHOOP". after it evolves, you must teach it hyperbeam bought at the celadon mart, and may only know 2 other attacking moves. the fourth move has to inflict status (rest is acceptable)

i still need 4 more members for my emerald challenge, any suggestions?

I am still missing one team member.
Mattman324 suggests: Steve the Stantler♂, must always know Hypnosis and must hit it three times for every team member obtained afterwards
Vratix suggests: Sarah the Jynx, must be caught as a Smoochum via the Pokéwalker and must evolve prior to the Ice Path
Seismic Snorlax suggests: Beatdown the Chinchou/Lanturn, cannot use any special attacks
Addiethunder suggests: Foretos the Forretress, must be caught as a Pineco in a Heavy Ball, must blow up on 12 opponents to evolve, must keep Self Destruct/Explosion and Rapid Spin
Paradox808 suggests: Start with Cyndaquil, may evolve after catching Steve, may evolve into Typhlosion after battling red Gyarados, must learn and keep Rollout and Gyro Ball as Typhlosion

Lolpad the Lotad must May not evolve before Watson, 2nd evolution cannot be done before fighting Liza and Tate (fight, not defeat)

You take Hoothoot, name it WoodOwl, it must keep at least 1 Flying and 1 Normal move at all times, must always be able to use Foresight.

I still need one more pokemon for my fire red run through.
So far it is:
-Charmander called Lizardo. It can only evolve into Charmeleon after it solos Erika. It can only evolve into Charizard after soloing one of Giovanni's pokemon in the Gym Battle. It must keep Metal Claw and use it as it's first move of every battle it's in. Later it must learn Fire Blast as soon as possible.
-Electabuzz named WilHelmet. Teach it Rain Dance and Thunder ASAP. Once it knows Thunder it may not learn any other Electric attacks
-a nidoran male that can't learn double kick and when it evolves into nidorino you can't use it till you evolve it into nidoking
-eevee which can only evolve if it beats or is out when the respective legendary birds are caught (zapdos-jolteon etc.)
-Jigglypuff named Jingo, must learn Hyper Voice before evolving and never forget it.

Thanks in advance

Get a Pikachu name it Chargey
Evolve when it learns Thunderbolt, then teach it Hyper Beam and Iron Tail

It must have at the Elite 4

~Thunderbolt
~Hyper Beam
~Iron Tail
~Focus Punch

good luck

how about I just add the chatot? deal? cause scyther is lookin to be one of my best members at the moment hah!

btw still need 1 poke (2 if I don't get to keep scyther, vratix's call on that one)

Sounds acceptable, unless two more people suggest things by end of the day. In that (somewhat unlikely) event bail on the bug.

Guitarerdood, have a nice Floatsel named Corneleus. It must know Surf and Waterfall. (Have a nice easy one.)

Paradox808, take a Growlithe/Vulpix named Flambe. It must learn Flamethrower before it evolves, whether by TM or level up. It must be male.

Xav, I can't help you. :/

Now the team is complete.

DiamondMaster suggests: WoodOwl the Hoothoot/Noctowl, must keep Foresight, a Normal attack, and a Flying attack

Here's my Fire Red Challenge Team, I'll be beginning soon

NjOyUrAiDs the Koffing
-Must learn explosion and keep forever, cannot evolve until it OHKOs 10 pokemon with explosion

Capelo the Ekans
-May not evolve until it solos erika without items (held items excluded)

KungFu the Mankey
-Must be taught Mega Punch and keep it forever, must learn focus energy and keep it forever, must use focus energy as its first move in every battle, must solo one of Sabrina's pokemon before being allowed to evolve

Joey the (top percentage) Rattata
-Cannot evolve ever

SHOOP the Magikarp
-Must be purchased from the pokemon center outside of Mt. Moon; after evolving, must be taught hyper beam via celadon city tm shop, remaining moves must consist of two attacking moves and then a status inducing move (rest inducing sleep on yourself counts)

DualPeckah the Doduo
-Must know Pursuit and Fury attack at all times

EDIT: added doduo, i will be starting soon, ill make a post after 4 badges

Xav, take a Rattata. It must be Run Away, and is not allowed to learn/use Hyper Fang.

Seismic Snorlax, take a Doduo, named DualPeckah. It must have Pursuit and Fury attack at all times.

Started the game, Trainer ID:Scotty, 63732
-Got a Jolly Cyndaquil, named him Ty.
-Ty leveled up to 9 before the first Silver battle, shame the first Tackle missed.
-Against Silver's Totodile, used Leer followed by Tackles.
-Caught a Level 3 Sentret, named her Dustbuster after the Furret in my Heart Gold. Caught her because Beatdown is a physical Chinchou/Lanturn, so I can't give it Surf or Whirlpool, so they both go to Dustbuster instead.
-Trained Dustbuster to Level 13, for the battle against Falkner, by using her on the first trainer battles, including the entire Sprout Tower and Falkner's underlings.
-Against Falkner's Pidgeotto, put Ty up front to get some Leers off, then Dustbuster finished the job with two Quick Attacks.
-Finally, Dustbuster is a Level 15 Furret! She is not a suggested team member, but she is needed for HM's.
-Togepi's egg hatched; showed Togepi to Elm to get Everstone, which I gave to Ty for the time being.
-Put Togepi in the Pokéwalker course Refreshing Field, walked 4073 steps.

So far i have

porkOfPines-starter, fire punch, thunderpunch, quick attack
iDunno-unknown (lol this should be fun)
noPicnic-sunkern -second highest level, can't evolve w/o killing 1 of claire's poke
Durpdurp-must have rage+glare

need 1 more, looking for the most useless pokemon in crystal =p
edit: I have decided to use a magikarp named useLess

1 more poke!

Magikarp is banned unless you decide to evolve it.

Hi, I just finished ripping my hair out at a nuzlocke challenge in FR (which i lost >_<), so i want to try a Scramble Challenge.

Game: emerald
Trades: no
Team Members: 4
Prerequisite: no redundant types (if possible).

Catch a Seedot called Taneboh. It can only evolve to Nuzleaf after defeating 10 opponents with BIDE. It must keep BIDE as one of it's moves and also learn and keep Nature Power. The remaining moves are up to you ^^. It must use BIDE as it's first move in battle. To allow Nuzleaf to evolve further then it must K.O. 20 Pokemon with BIDE

Bring a male Corphish named Carmine. It may not evolve until it either solos Juan or learns both Crabhammer and Brick Break, whichever comes first. Either way, Crabhammer and Brick Break must be the only attacking moves it uses in battle (i.e. it may HMs but not use them in battle)

Get a Pikachu name it Chargey
Evolve when it learns Thunderbolt, then teach it Hyper Beam and Iron Tail

It must have at the Elite 4

~Thunderbolt
~Hyper Beam
~Iron Tail
~Focus Punch

take a Growlithe/Vulpix named Flambe. It must learn Flamethrower before it evolves, whether by TM or level up. It must be male.

Lolpad the Lotad must May not evolve before Watson, 2nd evolution cannot be done before fighting Liza and Tate (fight, not defeat)

sry for not seeing your post diamond master, i thought you were talking to seismic snorlax >_<

now i just need a starter, and is it alright if i catch pokemon for the sole purpose of HM slaves?

-Went back to Route 31 to catch WoodOwl the Hoothoot; she was caught at Level 4.
-Made it through Union Cave to Azalea, Ty at level 14 at the time.
-WoodOwl made it through the Grunts; she leveled up to 12.
-Against Proton's Koffing, used Hypnosis followed by repeated Pecks. Ty even got some Ember off.
-Azalea Gym, didn't mean to put Dustbuster instead of Ty in the second slot to face the twins.
-Against Bugsy, Dustbuster weakened Scyther before it U-turned away to Metapod; Ty took out Metapod in two Embers, then Ember KO'ed Scyther while it put Ty in Blaze range for the OHKO on Kakuna.
-Silver's second battle. Used WoodOwl for Gastly, then a combo of WoodOwl/Ty for Croconaw.
-In Ilex Forest, caught the Farfetch'ds for HM Cut, which I gave to Dustbuster.
-Got Headbutt in the forest; taught to Dustbuster.
-Got Heavy Ball from Kurt for a black Apricorn.
-Back to New Bark Town, caught a Level 2 Pineco, which I named Foretos, in the Heavy Ball.
-Foretos blow-up no. 1: On Gina's L9 Hoppip, at level 6; Ty used six Leers first.
-Foretos leveled up to 9 through wild Pokes, then KO'ed these 11 Pokes with Self Destruct in the order of: Kim's L15 Vulpix, Eric's L11 Grimer, Issac's L12 Lickitung, Donald's L11 Slowpoke, Teru's L7 Magnemite, Elliot's L13 Sandshrew, Brooke's L16 Pikachu, Ivan's L10 Diglett, Irwin's L2 Voltorb, Walt's L11 Magmar, Bryan's L12 Pidgey, all at Level 9.
-Attempted Goldenrod Gym. WoodOwl got enough experience to evolve into Noctowl. Foretos also leveled up to 12.
-Got another Sentret from the walker, which I didn't need.
-On Whitney, KO'ed Clefairy and Ty leveled up to 23 to out speed her Miltank by one point iirc; used five Leers, followed by a Foretos blow-up KO (which does not contribute to the count since I already had 12 of them).
-Ran from Sudowoodo.
-Not one, but two doubles battles took place before I caught Steve the Stantler; the second one, involving the beauties' Clefables and Wigglytuffs, needed Foretos' attention.
-Delivered Kenya the Spearow for TM44 which I cannot use.
-Caught Steve as I was about to enter Ecruteak. He was caught at Level 15.
-Met Bill the Poke Maniac in the Ecruteak Poke Center.

I noticed no one else doing Scrambles of late, so I bumped this post.
-Went back to Route 31 to catch WoodOwl the Hoothoot; she was caught at Level 4.
-Made it through Union Cave to Azalea, Ty at level 14 at the time.
-WoodOwl made it through the Grunts; she leveled up to 12.

-Caught Steve as I was about to enter Ecruteak. He was caught at Level 15.
-Met Bill the Poke Maniac in the Ecruteak Poke Center.
-Purchased an X Speed for use later.
-Almost at Dim Cave with the Pokéwalker, I need about 100 more Watts.
-Used Foretos on the Rocket grunt's Koffing. Gave Surf to Dustbuster.
-Silver 3, almost the same as Silver 2, where Magnemite was the exception (which got 2HKO'ed by Ty's Flame Wheel).
-WoodOwl handled Ecruteak Gym, learned Confusion in the process.
-At Morty, used Ty to KO Gastly and lure in Gengar, then used the Stantler strategy for the rest. I used X Speed on Steve in front of Morty's Gengar so that I could out speed the Haunters, because Gengar does nothing to me while I set up.
-Surfed to Mahogany Town, caught red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage. I don't need Gyarados so I deposited into the box to make room for the next team member.

Lolpad the Lotad must May not evolve before Watson, 2nd evolution cannot be done before fighting Liza and Tate (fight, not defeat)

A torchic, may not evolve until it learns firespin, may not evolve again until it learns mirror move. may not learn even numbered TMs and HMs

I asked my friend mikey to give me a starter since no one seems to be viewing the thread except pika xD

i'll start tomorrow, will post how i'm doing after watson.

Have got my completed team for fire red:
-Charmander called Lizardo. It can only evolve into Charmeleon after it solos Erika. It can only evolve into Charizard after soloing one of Giovanni's pokemon in the Gym Battle. It must keep Metal Claw and use it as it's first move of every battle it's in. Later it must learn Fire Blast as soon as possible.
-Electabuzz named WilHelmet. Teach it Rain Dance and Thunder ASAP. Once it knows Thunder it may not learn any other Electric attacks

-Jigglypuff named Jingo, must learn Hyper Voice before evolving and never forget it.
- Rattata with Run Away, cannot learn/use Hyper Fang
Will probably post my progress after I have defeated Lt. Surge.

We look at it, unlike the nuzlocke challenge thread we don't generally post our status' of the run-throughs. It's a trust issue. We got it, nuzlocke don't.

-Surfed to Mahogany Town, caught red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage. I don't need Gyarados so I deposited into the box to make room for the next team member.
-Cleared Rocket Hideout. I don't remember exactly what happened to my team there, except Foretos learned Rapid Spin.
-Dustbuster learned Whirlpool.
-Took Routes 38 and 39 to Olivine City to get the Good Rod, then 40 and 41 to Cianwood for the fifth gym.
-Chuck was handled easily. WoodOwl got Fly.
-Flew to New Bark to catch Beatdown the Chinchou.
-Mahogany Gym next. Ty and Beatdown were the key players here.
-Finally got Sarah the Smoochum from the Pokéwalker course Dim Cave.
-Lighthouse. This is where I got the requisite Hypnosis hits from Steve: three for Beatdown, and three more for Sarah.
-Defeated Jasmine, Ty a key player there.
-Trained Sarah while Foretos evolved.

We look at it, unlike the nuzlocke challenge thread we don't generally post our status' of the run-throughs. It's a trust issue. We got it, nuzlocke don't.

Now hold on, that hardly seems fair. It's not necessarily a trust issue, some of our stories are damn entertaining (EX: EvilBob and Res Ipsa Loquitor's stories), and well, a lot of heartache can be caused by Nuzlocke runs, especially when you have your first death...

I was teasing, I actually am a huge fan of the comic itself and check up on the thread here every so often.
But really, the minute updates usually seem a little superfluous unless you want to go as far as writing an entire Fanfic the way your two examples did.
