Thats a good question, because lots of people say that the first Gen was the best. Then again, we saw 2nd Gen pokes in the first episode of Pokemon.

Except for Munna, Chiramii, and Mamepato, I think they're all 1st stage Pokemon that don't evolve. Chiramii will have the standard one evo and Mamepato will either have one or two. I'm expecting Munna will be the prevo of Drowzee so it will evolve into it and Hypno.
Munna I highly doubt will evolve into Drowzee. It shows no relation whatsoever (I know Trapinch, but....).

Castform forms were just an idea. There is no SS form of Castform b/c it's affected by water, not weather, according to the game it's molecules are very similar to water. Water form when there is a lot of water, Sun when the air is dry, Hail when it's molecules freeze.

I really don't think they'll be any new Castform forms, even if they do make new field effects. You don't see any Gravity/Trick Room Castforms now do you? (In fact, they never even made a Sandstorm one which is really lame.)
Neither Gravity nor Trick Room is considered "weather" and the reason Castform didn't get a Sandstorm form is because sandstorms don't have to do with clouds and the sky or whatever (like rain, sun, and hail), and in the real world, sandstorms aren't considered really part of weather (I think). Besides, there was no Rock counterpart to Water Gun, Ember, and Powder Snow and Rock was Physical too.

EDIT: I like how at the time of this post, the person above me had exactly three times as many posts as I did (783 and 261).

Yeah, that's probably a better way of saying what I was trying to (actually, I didn't think about the whole water thing, but it makes more sense to me than my idea).

EDIT2: @ below: I had kind of the same idea except no Gravity form, evolves when holding their respective weather-extending rock at level 30, and they had uniform stats (all 85s seem good because all 90s seems a bit too powerful to be realistic).

I'd love it if Castform got branch-out evos or something.

Solcast: Evolves from castform if it levels up to 30 or higher in the sun
Ability: droubt
Mold: sweeper-style, lots of special attack and speed
Type: fire

Floodcast: Evolves from castform if it levels up to 30 or higher in the rain
Ability: Drizzle
Mold: "bulky water", has high defenses and HP with mediocre offensive stats and speed. has a reliable recovery move.
Type: water

Sandcast: Evolves from castform if it levels up to 30 or higher in sand
Ability: Sand stream
Mold: high defense and special attack, has above average special defense and HP, slow
Type: rock

Freezecast: Evolves from castform if it levels up to 30 or higher in hail
Ability: Snow Warning
Mold: Offensive, like Solcast
Type: Ice

Psycast: Evolves from castform if it levels up to 30 or higher in gravity, trick room, or fog
Ability: Forcefield (insta-gravity)
Mold: like Solcast, but with less special attack and more speed
Type: Psychic

(weather ball would be a base 100 psychic attack in gravity or in trick room, and if castform levels up to 30 while gravity/trick room and another weather effect is in play, it becomes Psycast)

Yes, but I think it looks better than Starly. It reminds me of the pigeons here in LA that dont move out of your way when your walking down the sidewalk. You gotta move out of their way lol.

Edit: I personally like both 1st and 2nd gens the most, but I have a few designs I like from 3rd. 4th? No thanks, I hate the amount of non neccesary legends they produced.

I'm hoping Mamepato will be specially based, with moves such as Air Slash, and even Sludge Bomb. Y'know, since pigeons really like to shoot "sludge" at things. Especially windshields.

I have more favorite Pokemon from 2, 3, and 4 generations than Gen 1 individually, which is saying something considering Gengeration I is the largest. It's all subjective anyways, and you can't honestly complain about these Pokemon when there used to be unnecessary evolutions like Electrode and Muk (the latter of which is awesome but it's just a larger Grimer...)

Do you think the pigeon will continue the pattern of increasing good bird Pokemon. I mean, Swellow had Guts to be better than Pidgeot and Noctowl, and then Staraptor was better than the other three because of Close Combat and Intimidate. I hope that this bird becomes Special-based because the only other one we had was Noctowl and if it were to be Physical-based, it would seem a lot the same as most other bird Pokemon.

EDIT: TBH, I don't really like Gen I Pokemon (probably because I came into the game at Gen III); they are too simple to me. Johto Pokemon are better IMO, but I still like Gens III and IV the best in terms of Pokemon. I like the creativity of Pokemon like Solrock/Lunatone, Castform, Kecleon, Flygon, and a lot of others (the ones I stated were random). Gen IV had cool Pokemon like Bronzor and the new Bug-type Pokemon and Lumineon and other stuff. I don't really know why I increasingly like the Pokemon as they go along; I guess that's the type of person that I am (the "new is better than old" renovation-liking type).

You guys have probably discussed this to death by now but I just want to go and say my top 10 list for pokemon that deserve evolutions:

TOP 10 POKEMON EVOLUTION LIST
1.Absol-besides being my favorite pokemon I think an evolution could make Absol break into the OU metagame more and definitly would add to his attack and speed making him a great sweeper.

2.Qwilfish- this thing still rapes in rain and giving it an evolution would let it compete with Gyarados as the best water physical sweeper. Combine that with its great typing and its ability to use Explosion an evolution for this thing would be scary.

3.Mawile-besides being my second favorite pokemon I think mawile deserves an evolution to at least break out of the NU tier into the UU tier and if it gets good typing on this evolution with good additions to its moveset it might get to BL.

4. Farfetch'd- besides being probably the worst Flying-Normal in the game and being ignored for 3 generations and as its standing as one of the only non legendary generation 1 pokemon to not get an evolution or prevolution, Farfetch'd needs some loving here. if they let it evolve and give its evolution unique typing such as Flying/Fighting that would give it a chance to break out of one of the worst pokemon since generation 1.

5.Pinsir- Pinsir needs something to make it a better sweeper. I mean it has the moves but it needs the better stats and typing. Why did sycther get all the glory while Pinsir stood there and watched? I think its time for it to challenge Scizor with an evolution rivaling what Scyther got.

6.Dunsparce-Oh come on! Who doesn't want to see an evolution for this thing. I mean its one of those pokemon that will make your rip your hair out now just wait until it evolves.

7.Kecleon-I could see thins thing becoming an eternal wall if it got an evolution. Whats that? u attacked me with a fire attack? I absorb and now I am resistant and can recover off the damage. Enough said

8.Castform-with weather becoming more and more usefull an evolution for this thing would let u use the weather like a plaything whatever u need at the moment could be waiting in the wings with a Weather Ball auto stab move. U could fit it into any weather team.

9.Delibird-while delibird doesn't have the best typing and stats available an evolution could remedy the stats to a point where its fun to use. I mean who wants to see the santa bird gets fatter? I know I do.

10.Luvdisc-probably the only water type people catch to get its unique item. This thing needs love really badly and an evolution might be able to give this thing more speed not to mention to think about what it might look like.

Alright that is my list. you are free to comment on it.

Hihidaruma (Ape): The only one that I don't like so far, since nothing about it makes any sense. Its entire body is just a giant ball (and not in the good kind of way like Electrode) and its mouth just looks weird. I'm sure I'll end up being okay with it eventually, though.

I hate to be the smartass, but I just love Hihidharma so I just feel like I've GOT to defend him. He's actually based on a Dharma doll and a baboon, or "hihi". This is very convenient because it also makes a nice pun, since "hidaruma" means a "body cloaked in fire". This really clever combination of stuff, to me, makes him genuinely interesting and creative Pokemon, IMO. Then again, that doesn't necessarily mean you have to like the design, even if you know what it's based on...

Also, Munna is based on the thing Drowzee was, a baku. They don't look terribly similar though, except for maybe the nose.

Munna I highly doubt will evolve into Drowzee. It shows no relation whatsoever (I know Trapinch, but....).

Well Tyrogue has purple skin and Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan have brown skin so coloration isn't really an issue. It also has a snout that is sort of like Hypno's. Also, you wonder why they're releasing it now. Two of the Pokemon are the standard first two Pokemon and four of the others look like first stage Pokemon that don't evolve. Munna certainly doesn't look like it won't evolve so unless it's available at the begining of the game, it must be a prevo of an existing Pokemon and Drowzee is the most likely candidate.

Edit: I guess Hihidaruma makes more sense than I thought, but I still don't like it (right now anyway).

Did anybody else think of Starly when they first saw Mamepato?

No, I thought of Honchkrow, with that pose. However, while Honchkrow has that "evil eye", Mamepato has a pretty oblivious look, to the point it actually looks like it's saying "o hai" instead of "HAIL ME".

And I find that to be awesome.

I still don't get the flowers thing. I don't think either Drowzee or Hypno has anything to do with flowers or anything, so IDK, that just makes me doubtful, but still hopeful (if it evolves into something else, that something could be even more weird looking than it).

It, honestly, makes wayyy more sense than Munna, who probably only looks as outlandish as it does despite having nothing to do with its concept (other than maybe looking like something you'd see in a dream, lol) to differentiate it from Drowzee.

I was looking at Zekrom and the name of its new ability, Terra Voltage. And I was thinking what if Terra Voltage makes it so you can't use ground moves on Zekrom? Like the earth is magnetically held in place by its electricity. That really wouldn't be a bad ability at all. I can't speculate on what Turbo Blaze on Reshiram does but Zekrom's abilty intritgues me.

Chatot is pretty useless as well.

I think the better translation is generally being accepted as "Tera Voltage". As in, a whole lotta voltage.

Meh I still like the idea of it locking the ground in place so its looses its ground weakness and you can't use moves like earthquake until its switched out or dead. That would actually be very good in dubz,
