So uhh, Apparently vigoroth learns focus punch. I was wondering if there's anyway for me to breed a pikachu, starting with a vigoroth, that knows focus punch? While I'm on the breeding tangent, can a pokemon only have moves that are from the egg move list when it's hatched?
They're in the same Egg Group, so you can breed them together, however, Pichu can't learn Focus Punch. If the Pokemon's father knows any moves that are in the Pokemon's Egg move list or in the Pokemon's TM/HM list, even if they weren't learned via TM, the baby Pokemon will have those moves. Also, if both parents have a move that is learned by the baby as a level up move, the baby will have that as well.
I'm wondering, what happens if you breed two Pikachu together and make it so that all four of the moves on the male Pokemon will be passed down, but then you also give the female a Light Ball, which would give the Pichu Volt Tackle. Pichu obviously can't have 5 moves, so which one wouldn't be learned? Would it give the Pichu Volt Tackle and the first three moves the father learns? The last three? All four moves the father learns and no Volt Tackle?
Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, I think it goes Egg Moves, TM Moves, Level Up moves but I'm not certain. I'm not sure where Special Moves (Pichu's Volt Tackle) fits in, either. Master Ball, in that situation, it doesn't matter which one takes priority because the father can only have 4 moves and only the father can pass moves on.
