what happens in a speed tie?

Well the sleep talk cradily could continuously heal, so U-turning would lose me the match-up since I'd have to switch out all the time. Also, what about a mchamp? I just faced one a couple seconds ago, swept most of my team with continual dynamic punch hits ._.

In a speed tie, both Pokemon have the same speed stat, so a random coin flip determines which Pokemon will make the first move.

The standard Rest-talk Cradily is OHKOed by Bug Bite even without Swords Dance boosts.

Well it had cursed for a turn before hand... But alright, i'll take a look at pursuit.

Is there any way of breaking a baton pass chain without roar or taunt?

Can you legally use Celebi in wifi battles? If so, which ball would it have to be in?

Yes, and from Bulbapedia, there are only a few ways to obtain Celebi (through events):

  • Ageto Celebi, which comes from Colosseum bonus disc (PokéBall)
  • PokéPark Celebi (PokéBall)
  • Mitsurin Celebi (PokéBall)
  • 10th Anniversary Celebi (PokéBall)
  • Movie 13 Celebi (Cherish Ball) Not out yet
So, in short, all the Celebi currently obtainable come in a standard PokéBall, as the Cherish Ball was only introduced in Generation IV, and all the events so far have been during Generation III.

How do you get a Water Stone in Platinum?
Like, isn't there a guy somewhere who gives you one in exchange for ten shards or something?

Correct me if I'm wrong but you can still get the explorer's kit in Platinum which means mining water stones underground is still possible. Also, if you plant some gems and let them grow, you'll find a ton of mining spots around where you planted them.

So uhh, Apparently vigoroth learns focus punch. I was wondering if there's anyway for me to breed a pikachu, starting with a vigoroth, that knows focus punch? While I'm on the breeding tangent, can a pokemon only have moves that are from the egg move list when it's hatched?

Pikachu only learns Focus Punch through a TM. And I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but when you breed a Pokémon, it immediately gains any moves the Pokémon is born with, such as Tackle, and it also gains any TM moves the parent has that it is compatible with, along with any possible egg moves. However, I'm not sure which ones take priority if there is more than 4 egg and TM moves, although I do know that TM and egg moves overwrite moves that a Pokémon is born with like Tackle. Don't quote me on any of that though, I may be wrong

They're in the same Egg Group, so you can breed them together, however, Pichu can't learn Focus Punch. If the Pokemon's father knows any moves that are in the Pokemon's Egg move list or in the Pokemon's TM/HM list, even if they weren't learned via TM, the baby Pokemon will have those moves. Also, if both parents have a move that is learned by the baby as a level up move, the baby will have that as well.

I'm wondering, what happens if you breed two Pikachu together and make it so that all four of the moves on the male Pokemon will be passed down, but then you also give the female a Light Ball, which would give the Pichu Volt Tackle. Pichu obviously can't have 5 moves, so which one wouldn't be learned? Would it give the Pichu Volt Tackle and the first three moves the father learns? The last three? All four moves the father learns and no Volt Tackle?

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, I think it goes Egg Moves, TM Moves, Level Up moves but I'm not certain. I'm not sure where Special Moves (Pichu's Volt Tackle) fits in, either. Master Ball, in that situation, it doesn't matter which one takes priority because the father can only have 4 moves and only the father can pass moves on.

Is there anyway of gaining multiple copies of TM01 in SS or Pearl? So far in both games I've only found one and I sorta don't want to use it on my pikachu

If you don't want to use it on the Pikachu there's really no point for your question, but in SoulSilver you get the TM01 from beating Chuck, and in Pearl you can get one in the Oreburgh Gate, or find one with the ability Pickup

Will pseudo-statuses like confusion be removed from the target upon its switching out?
To make it simple, there are only five statuses that are NOT removed upon switching:

  • Paralysis
  • Poison
  • Burn
  • Sleep
  • Freeze
These statuses are always listed next to the pokemon's name if it has them, and persist on the world map, too, if you're playing the single-player campaign. lol, I just called it the single player campaign.

In the RNG guides, to RNG abuse it has some prerequisites like Poketech. HG/SS doesnt have poketech. So do I just leave that specific prerequisite out, skip it, or do something instead of the desired coin flip, or happy meter check.
I understand you can also use calls to Prof. Elm to mimic coin flips. He will either mention evolution or Kanto.

It strikes me as possibly taking remarkably longer than the coin flip app, which makes me really glad I kept my old DS even after getting a DS Lite, and still also have Diamond even after getting HG.

The Happines App is used in RNGing because each of the pokemon party on that app move in a "random" direction and at a "random" speed, which advances the RNG seed several times faster than the Coin Flip App. It has nothing at all to do with the happiness of your pokemon.

Well I mean I want to teach it to pikachu, however I'm afraid I'll want to use it later for something else and I won't have it (that's basically the case for all my TMs.

Can someone explain or direct me to a site that explains what RNG is?

You know there's this Smogon website with a search bar... (http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/)

Granted, Smogon didn't used to function with any sort of searches that weren't spelled 100% correctly, direct articles, or anything with symbols in the name, at least on my computer

why is magmortar's analysis written for ou when it's uu? id like to use it but have little idea of what to use because im just starting in uu & dont know what to prepare it for. i have seen it mentioned in counters lists of other pokemon though.
