See I'm still waiting for the BA Specially oriented Water/Fighting Polar Bear. There really aren't any more dual types that haven't been done yet... although I could totally see this guy being Water/Dark.

Polar bear would probably be part Ice no matter what. :P I CAN'T see Mijumaru being Water/Dark, but I'd bet money not a single soul bet Piplup would become Water/Steel (and I bet there were awful few people who DIDN'T bet Water/Ice).

Do you guys remember how we were all excited when the Raikou/Zoroark video came out and we saw that the HP bar decreased along the attack animation? This doesn't happen in these new videos, it goes like before, with the HP decreasing only after thre animation has finished.
Both the animation and the decreasing are a lot quicker and smoother now though, so I guess that's already something

He was tired of being brushed off so he started to cause mischief to seize attention?

Shouldn't a penguin also be part Ice? =p

But with Turtwig you thought of an earthy green turtle.. grass/ground

Chimchar you thought of a fistful of knuckles.. fire/fight

And Piplup you thought of.. umm... water

Piplup was just so neutral looking.. it was hard to imagine steel. Some pokemon are just that way.. and plus the fact that the creators can make it w/e they want it to be

I think it all depends on how they decide to reverse the starter weaknesses this time... Hopefully they won't go with a fire/fighting starter again.

I almost... almost actually hope they make Pokabu Fire/Fighting.

That would be genuinely hilarious.

(oh and Piplup definitely looks like it would have become Water/Ice because, you know, it's a PENGUIN, and as I said unless I were told specifically "hey Piplup is not a, you know, snow penguin" I wouldn't have suspected anything but)

it's a pig and after evolution it could become something close to primeape (which is a fusion of ape and pigs) but i really doubt about it, the daruma thing is probably going to be the fire/fighting of the generation

Uh, something. Couldn't the fact that Sweep Slap didn't do much to Pokabu mean that the fire pig has a nice amount of Defense?

By the way, another eyecandy I liked was the fact that while the HP bar is being depleted, a black bar shows the amount of damage the last attack did. Just like in some fighting games.

Looking back at the past few pages, there seems to be a lot of concern over Shimama not OHKOing with Wild Bolt. Has anyone considered that Shimama might, you know, evolve?

Hey, did anyone else notice Tsutarja and Chiirami's new cries? Both are pretty fast. Sorta reminds me of the Gen 3 cries.

Also, not a fan of the bottom part of the sprites basically sinking into the platforms when zooming in after an attack, it looks pretty sloppy. The sprites look better than I thought, though Shimama still looks awful in sprite-form. I LOOOOVE the new trainer/Pokemon entering animations.

Yeah, I noticed that. I just don't know how it's going to be useful, though.

I liked the new video especially Hihidaruma Fire punching Tsutaja. What you guys thought.

I loved the desert gameplay, it showed going up and down hills that weren't simply north/south =P Also showed that the desert is going to be a place to explore rather than just a path right through it, I suppose similar to the one in RSE as opposed to that route in DPP.

I'm worried about two things after seeing Pokemon Sunday. Firstly, the fact that Chiramii's Sweep Slap didn't do much damage. That better be a Cute Charm Chiramii...

And also, the fact that Shimama's Wild Bolt didn't KO sad otter(a WATER type)...maybe Shimama will evolve. Hopefully :(

Hihidaruma has the most potential from our information...even though I don't like the look of it, don't ruin this Nintendo.

Anyone else think Pokabu might evolve to be either Fire/Ground (makes sense if its bulky, and pigs like mud..) or Fire/Dark (would fit with the whole light/dark thing)?

Also is there a Fire/Ground combo at all? I'm drawing a blank trying to think of one. (EDIT:Numel/Camerupt is the only one.)
It would make more sense too, because we have a Water/Ground Starter in the Mudkip line, and a Grass/Ground Starter in the Turtwig line.

That attack that Gear used on Tsutaja looked like it was incredibly strong, making it look like that Tsutaja would get 2HKO from Gear Saucer.

Fire/Dark would be terrible!

Weakness to Water, Rock, Ground, and Fighting :(

I dont think I have room in my heart for another Fire type. NAPE!!!!!!

Guys, Chiramii only attacked twice with Sweep Slap, and as we know Pokabu is the most defensive of the starters. I'm surprised it even came close to 50% HP with only 2 hits, especially considering most multi-hit moves don't have a BP higher than 20 or so (I know there are some with 25).
In the end, Chiramii's move, at its weakest, did 50% to a defensive Pokémon. That's not bad at all

Hmm....so when they first introduced a picture of Zoroark attacking Zorua everybody thought that was Dark Pulse , including me....ended up being Night Burst:o

Yeah, and if Sweep Slap has at least 20 power, it would actually be a viable STAB move over Return with Technician involved. Some calculations of a 20 power Sweep Slap taking STAB into account:

3 hits: 135 power
4 hits: 180 power
5 hits: 225 power

The average of 3 hits would have a damage output just over Body Slam, 4 hits would be equal to Double Edge, and 5 hits would effectively act as a no-recharge Giga Impact. The possibility of 2 hits would still turn some off the move though...

If Sweep Slap has 25 power like Rock Blast though... even 3 hits would outdamage Return! Just something to think about...
