I just realized that if they remake the gen 3 games like ruby and saphire they will have to redo it in this new style. It would drastically change the scenery

What's wrong with boosting Ice types defense? The only OU Ice types are Weavile and Mamoswine and they are hardly dominating nor used for their amazing defense. If Glaceon, Walrein and Froslass get buffed then they might just move tiers.
Let's not forget Abomasnow, who will be getting an immediate defense boost when switching in. That and Regice would get some buffs as well.

Regardless, any change or addition or whatever isn't good or bad. It just is and it just changes the metagame in subtle ways neither for better or worse. The only reason some people react to any change if it violates some subjective belief like how Pokemon should look or that Pokemon X is the greatest or that pure Flying types should not exist with Roost because it's weird.
Finally, someone agrees with me. ;)

I doubt it, he'd have to be able to reliably wall a "significant" portion of the metagame. I'm not sure if that's the case (too lazy to do calcs at the moment lol)

it sure wont be allowed in UU,i mean after all it is one of the bulkiest poke's in UU already and it even has more bulk than swampert, not to mention a much better abillity.

I always thought something like this as well. I never understood why poison never affected steel because there are obviously some acids that exist that can burn through steel.

It's not so much a queustion of the acid burning through the steel.

Steel is immune to Poison because Steel is inorganic, and Poison seems to represent organic poisons, or possibly things that are hazardous to living things. Since you can't "kill" steel by poisoning it Steel is immune to Poison.

If that makes any sense? =X

EDIT: Wow, I just realized I'm like, 4 pages off. Oops.

Prof. Elm, I don't think that would ever happen. It would either be like developing two completely different games simultaneously because of the language and localization, or the Japanese release would be delayed for months while all the localizing crap happened for the English release, which is a loss for the people who import the games not to mention the poor Japanese kids who would hate to wait on something that was long-finished.

Also, regarding all the Poison talk: Instead of making strange poison move, they could just make one new fire or fighting move (I think Ground is not plausible) that all poison types get. Like they did with Solar Beam and Fire types every Fire Type except Flareon...

Fixed.

Anyway, something tells me that there won't be any tradebacks on this generation, just like last time.

On that old Celebi pick, it said something along the lines of "Celebi is being transferred". So, if it's really a transfer and not a strict trade, history will repeat itself.

On the other hand, I imagine it's going to be a pain to migrate to Generation 5 without having two DS's (if at all possible). Who has more than one DS for themselves anyway?

I'll never understand why people think Ononokusu looks like a mantis. Is it just because Serebii said?

hmm I'm not sure why I referred to it as a Mantis..I just looked up how it looks like and it definitely doesn't look like a Mantis..I guess I just call it the bug/dino Pokemon from now on. I also think the unidentified Pokemon posted from the character scan http://pokemonblackandwhite.net/2010/06/26/rumor-more-new-pokemon-and-characters-revealed/

is the baby form. If you look hard enough, I think you can see something protruding from the side of its mouth.

It's the same system as GSC Time Machine, except in BW it's called "Pokemon Transfer Machine".

also, LOLflareon

@Lapras: I hate to be so mean about it, but it doesn't even look like a bug period. It just bothers me so many people (apparently not you, I hope) take Serebii's word as god's own. Just because he looked at a blurry picture of it and it looked like a mantis to him, everyone thinks it looks like a mantis or bug and it just doesn't. The only similarity to a Bug-type at all is the fact that it's colored Bug-type's shade of green, but color doesn't mean anything.

The problem is that Stallrein is always played in the hail and all it has to to is wait unless the opponent has lefties, can recover, or is immune to residual damage.
It takes the most powerful SE STAB attacks to do 75% to it and once it gets up the first sub, good luck if you don't have a way to handle it.
Brute force will seldom work at that point because it will just alternate Protect and Substitute until you die without even hitting it again.

Still, I think a buff for Ice types in Hail is a good idea.
It wouldn't change Stallrein a great deal, but it would be able to set up on more things.

Well, I know a lot of us bought a DSFat, then upgraded to DSLite/i/XL. So it's more likely than you think.

I want a pokemon similar to breloom with maybe...."Burn Heal" Ability..xD

A Special Breloom? Perhaps with a way to spread Burn around. I'd love to see Will-o-wisp have more users.

Oh, and I just thought of something. I do not truly think we need a Special version of Burn or Intimidate, because the fat blob named Blissey still exists to wall everything related to Special. Also, it would be a huge boon for Physical Stall.

OH no! You got it all wrong. I didn't start to refer that Pokemon as mantis because Serebii did. I think I might of picked it up from another forum. I actually really dislike Serebii/Joe..not persoanlly obviously as I don't know him in real life but just the way he carries himself online...

I still think that green thing looks like a bug type for some reason..not just because it's mostly green but it sort of have shell-like body like a bug besides missing 2 additional appendages of course.

you guys are luck, you get Ds for 50$ bucks around there while here on brasil they cost 600$, i had luck in getting one.

i just hope they make the process easy for god sake, i refuse to buy another DS.
