man, it must be nice to have friends you can trust and help each other in stuff like that.

the little bat is simple but at the same time interesting, i still cant believe it got so much hp for such a small thing but then again so got our mini gen 4 ghost ballon pre-evo. he probably got crappy defenses at best and unless it got levitate its also weak to SR, i doubt he will be anything better then crobat.

Yep it certainly does, a-hyuck. I'll just pack my things andOH WAIT. I just remembered there's this thing where people that disagree with you are trolls. Despite how angrily they do so.

I'm still sorry you are a homosexual toddler.

...k

anyways, Koromori, based on the beta art, seems to have one eye and a big grin. I'm confident that would lead it to be a Dark/Flying type. that's unfortunate, since I enjoyed the Murkrow line having that typing exclusively...

you never know though. it might be not be a flying type, and will just have Levitate.

How much does it cost to get/ order a copy of japanese white version in America?

You can order the game from Play-asia for $59.99 (not including shipping and handling). S&H can run from $6 (for a delivery time of about 2 weeks) to $19 (for a delivery time of 1-3 days).

Speaking of the birds the new pigeon is my favorite of all the starting birds for sure.

I was wondering where the pic of the baby blue dude with wings came from. I acutally like him.

I am seriously in shock at how objectively wrong your opinions are.

Give several reasons why.

Oh, and to clarify, GSC were shit-ass gameplay-wise, they just had some dapper designs.

No no no. The designs of 2nd generation were completely boring, barring a few standouts like Lanturn and Scizor. The story of GSC was pretty boring, as well. I'd say it goes 1st Gen (mainly because of Yellow) --> 3rd Gen --> 4th Gen --> 2nd Gen. 3rd and 4th were pretty close, but 2nd was a big disappointment (in terms of Pokemon designs).

took the words right out of my mouth. gen 2 was pathetic in terms of pokemon design and the story was nothing to write home about. actually gen 1 and 2 were pretty fail, all they had was the nostagia valor and a small amount of cool looking pokemons(Good thing we got FRLG and HGSS? huh?).

shit got better on emerald(RS was not great either) and platinun(Same shit for DP), i literally came all over my pants when i played those 2 for the first time, it was too much for me at the time.

How did Gen 1 have good designs, I really don't want to keep bringing this up but...a seal called Seal? A ball of gas called...Gastly? A bat called Zubat, a fucking Mime Pokemon called Mr Fucking Mime, I mean come on. There were a few cool ones (Gyarados and Starmie mostly) but the rest were shit. I think my favorite as far as designs go is probably Gen 3 or 4. Even though there were still a few shitty ones (like a seal called...wait for it...Spheal -___-) for the most part they were cool ones like Tyranitar and Misdreavus and Cacturne.

Agreed

Oh yea clearly my opinion is wrong and yours is right. I forgot the mechanics of opinions.
(Incase you get confused that was sarcasm)

Tyranitar and Misdreavus are Gen 2 Pokémon, not 3 or 4.

Thanks I will probably be ordering a copy at some point. I am gonna have to teach myself some japanese lol.

Oh, well, substitute it for Metagross/Mismagius. The point is that designs have been getting progressively better, not worse, and anyone who doesn't get that is blinded by nostalgia.

I don't think they're getting better, nor worse. The designs are just different. Yeah, stuff like Machamp is just a bigger Machop with two more arms, but it still looks great. Each generation has a slew of Pokemon some like, but others don't, it's only natural. The banter between those who think Gen I designs were complete god-like and those who think they were shit is getting annoying.

If you don't like the original 150 you can just get the fuck out. That's the basis on which everything Pokemon is judged, if you've been around since R/B you can't help but feel nostalgic and if you're new you can show a little respect. FlareBlitz, I'm blinded by jackshit. I loved Gen 4, I came back because the Pokemon in Gen 4 were cool. But having skipped Gen 3, I made a list while playing Diamond. Cool new pokemon and shitty new pokemon. Cross checking this list with the international dex reveals that GENERATION 3 IS 100% SHIT.

After relooking at brocoli head I think he might be fighting grass

Okay this arguing about what is shit and what is not is rediculous. It all comes down to opinion which everyone has the right but can never be right in their opinion of what the best generation is by definition of an opinion.

How is the original 150 "the basis on which everything Pokemon is judged".

Did you go back and look at the original 150?

If every other generation was based off that shit we'd have "trii" the tree pokemon and "mr lawyer" the lawyer pokemon.

I mean, I loved RBY when I was a kid too, but then I grew up and realized that the original designs really weren't very good. I still get warm feelings when I look at a golbat but not to the point where I can pretend that having a Pokemon having a tongue longer than its body is a great design choice.

everyone shut up about designs; no one gives a shit.

hasn't it been mentioned that the versions will have differences outside of what Pokemon you can catch? what do you think they will be?

maybe one gym will be different in each version? that seems like one of the most conventional things that could be different, assuming they were referring to something outside of the story.

It's kind of funny that all of your criticisms are based entirely off of the ENGLISH names of the Pokemon. Gen 3 Pokemon are boring and a few Gen 5 Pokemon are just I don't even know what the fuck.

yeah because a walking tree with 3 heads is totally the most awesome shit in the entire world huh? everyone got different tastes but the fact gen 1 was the less original of all cant be argued.

now i am not saying gen 1 was the worst, but the thing is:there is no worst or best generation.

Uh yeah I'd take a badass Land Shark and a dragon that actually looks like a dragon and not an obese teletubby over anything in Gen 1 any day, thanks.

Edit: Anyway back to B/W, who wants to see more "ability x boosted pokemon's y power!" abilities? I'd love something like that for dragon types, would be a good way to restore some balance if it were distributed nicely (and on an dragon eevelution with 110 SPE/130 SATK it would be amazing)

hai guys how bout we all agree that Gen 1 designs = Gen 2 designs = Gen 3 designs = Gen 4 designs and stop bickering of what designs are better. It's subjective, different Pokemon appeal to different people in the end they are all loved  (I'm sure out there someone likes Luvdisc, right?)

... But don't you dare talk about Dragonite like that again. T_____T

When does CoroCoro come out? Next week?

EDIT: Speaking of Luvdisc, they really need to give it some giant happy heart-fish evolution that is actually useable. I feel bad for the guy, really. And Farfetch'd really wants that Fighting/Flying kung-POW duck. Delibird could probably use one too, except Delibird is freakin' boss as is... How could they possibly make an evolution of the trick-or-treating owl-santa that could live up to those standards? :x <3delibrrrrd

Then again, I think Gamefreak will probably leave them the way they are. I don't think they have the intention of making those Pokemon competitive, they're mostly trophy Pokemon or just made for their cool designs.

Though other sucky Pokemon like Piloswine, Mukrow, and Misdreavus were given a helping hand and all 3 of their evolutions definitely found someplace to shine.

This is all stupid, long story short, to people who like the new designs: congratulations, enjoy Gen 5, to those who don't BOOHOO don't buy the game, stop whining in other peoples ears and better luck next time, every pokemon out there is just a thing or an animal, this uninspired stuff is bullshit. This is art, there are no facts, just opinions, because when you mix facts and art you get farts and those really stink up the thread.
