First Below is the Ubers team. Not the team I want rated as it already has great success but what this OU team was based off of.
As title suggest I had much success with a HEAVY offensive team in Ubers, sadly that metagame isn't played as heavily as it should be imo. I was A 24-1 in Ubers and a disappointing 16-14 in OU and I just didn't get it.
So it led me to create the following team which I know is FAR from perfect(although 5-2 atm).
Shuckle@Grip CLaw
Ability: Glutonny
Impish Nature (+Def)
EV's 248 HP/44 Def/216 SpD
-Wrap
-Encore
-Rest
-Bide/Safe guard
The Wanna Be Wobbuffet set up, the most iffy poke on my team. Typically I switch it on a move that I KNOW can't 3HKO me and I wrap as they bring in something to take me out. Then I follow that up with Encore and switch to one of the team mates that resist the move and set-up.
Considering Safeguard so I can encore status moves then Safeguard and get a free set up turn/turns.
Skarmory (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/64 Atk/176 Def/ 16 Spe
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Brave Bird
In Ubers my Deoxsys lead did two things. Stealth Rock then Spikes then her job was done. I know its LOLSkarmory lead but the sheer bulk guarntees a stealth rock and atleast one layer of spikes.
Not to mention I can take advantage of bulky leads with taunt and Brave Bird hits hard enough so I don't even have to switch on Taunt leads and give them a free turn to set up.
Gengar @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 100 AT, 156 SA, 252SP
Hasty Nature (+Spe)
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Shadow Ball
-Hidden Power Fire
Arguably the most gimmicky set of all time, if not my shuckle set. This is my ghost Arceus wannabe. This thing works wonders though. Switch in on Encore'd fighting moves or fighting moves aimed at Heatran.
Substitute on the switch then systematically remove counters by Focus Punching Blissey/Tyranitar/Snorlax and HP Fire'n Lucario/Scizor.
Salamence@Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 24 SpA / 232 Atk / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Spe)
- Outrage
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
Rayquaza lite in a nut-shell. I have already swept an entire team with this guy. I Encore there fighting/fire moves commonly aimed at shuckle and switch this bad boy in and DD and sweep. Not much synergy though.
Metagross @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Rock Polish
The Glue of the team really. Much like my Rock Polish Groudon this beast begs for one speed boost to lay down the pain on an unprotected team. Good Synergy because he draws fighting moves to Heatran and can take Encore'd Stone Edges aimed at Shuckle.
Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
Evs: 252 Sp Atk/ 224 Spe / 32 HP
Naive Nature (+Spe)
- Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Dragon Pulse
-Hidden Power Grass/Explosion
This is my ScarfPalkia wannabe. This bad boy provides great coverage and his Hidden Power Grass is my only means of hitting Swampert sadly so I often have to sacrifice a poke to get it in safely on perts. Also no explosion because well, I never really liked the move but am willing to change it.
Also loves to take Dark moves aimed at Gengar and fire/ice moves aimed at Metagross and Salamence respectively.
Thank you, any and all helpful tips will be tested.
Deoxys-e @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk

- Shadow Ball
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
---
Groudon @ Life Orb
Ability: Drought
EVs: 112 HP/252 Atk/8 Def/136 Spd
