I see. I only would use Ice Punch for Dragons. But eh, I guess Stone Edge is cool, though the hit and miss ratio is less than desired.

It doesn't Poison the enemy if it's Tricked away, it damages them at the end of every turn, and it also gives the Trick user a new weapon. Good job
I assumed he was only asking due to Item Clause, in which case Black Sludge works for Tentacruel if he'd rather have Leftovers on some one else. However, you are completely correct.

I'm a little confused. If I import a Pokemon game from Japan, will I be able to access Japanese WiFi events here in the US? For example, Ash's Pikachu is available over WiFi for the Japanese games right now. If I had a Japanese HG/SS and connected to Nintendo WiFi, is it possible to get this event?

I thought this wasn't possible, but upon reading brief descriptions for events, I just wanted to double check.

You will be able to access them, as long as they are over wifi.

I need to know if this machop (now a machamp) is redis. I'm not going to put it on a trade thread or anything, but I'd like to give a copy to a friend (he has a trade thread. I don't know if he's going to put it on there or not).

OT is PACE
ID No. 59321

Thanks

This is a question suited for the Wi-Fi forum, not Stark Mountain.

You could try asking to see if anybody recognizes it, but I doubt you'll get an answer. It's not much info to work with. Keep it out of your trade threads if you don't know the redistributability.

EDIT: Or you could use the forum's search function to check Wi-Fi for the ID number, like I just did. Looks like it belongs to somebody named JustChilling, you'll have to check his trade thread for yourself whether it's redis or not.

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but what would be the best way for me to get a good Zapdos- mainly one with a strong and useful Hidden Power? I have a Fire Red somewhere, can I RNG with that? I also have a bunch of decent (EVs/IVs) Pokémon but everyone seems to only trade with others who have trade threads. I really don't want to set it all up just for one or two Poké.

Hiya, I'm LK, a noob to all this. :>

So I'm EV training my Gallade, but how do I figure out if I've got max EVs in a stat?

Also, is there a way to trash unwanted EVs? I have something else I want to EV train, but it was raised "normally" in random battles...

what's the recommended speed for a battle tower trick lead? Ive read 150/151 can anyone tell me why you'd do one over the other? is 151 unecessary? thanks

@LK: If you know the IVs of the Pokemon you can use checkers on the internet to check EVs. I use Serebii. And you can lose unwanted EVs using EV reducing berries, those from Pomeg to Tomato, which lower the EVs by 10 each time, or down to 100 if there are more than 110. These are the ones which say "lowers the ___ stat but makes the pokemon more friendly"

@ Darkmattr: There must be scarfed pokemon in the battle tower which have speeds of 150 before the scarf, becaue there are no pokemon around there at level 50. I can tell you 141 Speed is needed to outspeed max speed electrode, and maybe they just went for the next multiple of 10. I would go with 151 to be on the safe side.

If my Abra with Synchronize dies, but is still in the front of my party, will i still have a 50% chance of getting the desired pokemon nature if i continue to catch pokemon with it dead, while sending out my 2nd pokemon at the start of the battle?

I think but I'm not sure that even though 151 with a scarf outspeeds nothing that 141 with a scarf already does, 151 allows you to outspeed all those pokemon that sit at 100 speed (there are a lot of them) after they receive the scarf. As to 150/151, I'm not sure, but I would put the extra point there to always be able to outspeed the pokemon with 100 speed.

Also, has Salamence's fate been decided/announced yet, and if so is it still OU?

The council hasn't finished its deliberation, so it's still OU. The announcement might come around tomorrow or over the weekend.

Hey all. i just caught a Ho-Oh lvl 70 adamant nature and suprisingly high IVs (5 of them over 20) i was just wondering if its worth EV training it. if so how should i go about that?

another question, is it possible to get over 100 EVs in one level?
