Evil teams just get weirder and weirder each generation.. And I see no connection between Team Plasma's outfits and the word plasma. Galactic dressed in space-y attire, Aqua as sailors/pirates and Magma dressed as devils. Team Rocket just had a red R on their black uniform, no rocket, but they were badass enough that it can be excused. When you see a trainer with a whip who is also a member of an evil organisation, you know they mean business. You see team Plasma and you start laughing.

Oh yes, because Zubats and Koffings are so badass. I don't understand this mentality that Team Rocket was the best... they were just a group of thieves dressed in uniforms who had no over-arching plot. Basically, they just wanted to make money... cool. >.>

The guy being crowned in the beginning (N? N-lookalike?) seems to awaken Reshiram / Zekrom. And there's that big medieval castle that rises from the up, too. Wasn't expecting them to be knights but it's pretty cool.

Pretty cool update, not a huge fan of Minezumi's evolution but oh well. Deer Pokemon looks cute, will probably evolve again into not Stantler >_>.

I hope seasons aren't a full year cycle of seasons. Time flows according to real life but seasons are on a 30 day cycle instead.

PokeShifter isn't as bad as I thought, and kinda looks like fun. Aloe = blaxploitation crime investigator. I like all the new features they're putting in with the PokeGear sounds awesome.

And who said Pokemon made a team cool? Because Glameows, Wurmples, Zubat, Carvanha and Numel are hardly badass.

They had whips. They killed Pokemon. They took people as hostages.

Team Rocket was the best because they didn't give a fuck about anything or anybody. Don't get me wrong, I loved Galactic. I found the end of the plot to be rather underwhelming for their goals though. Complicated plans alone don't make a team cool, all they do is create possible plot-holes.

Edit: Well Carvanha is pretty badass, but that's besides the point.

They look ridiculous. Especially when they had their whips.

No it isn't. Its undeniable proof that you are 13 and you think the world revolves around your silly opinions. First off the Merkat pokemon are pretty inspired, based off of Native American culture, secondly, some of the designs have been proved to be incredibly original, showing that they are far from out of ideas. Musharana being based after a feitus shows just how many creative designs gamefreak still has less to turn out. Your opinion of them does not equate to Gamefreak running out of ideas at all.

i like everything new so far. i dont see how gamefreak is ruining out of ideas, all they are doing is base the new pokes on different stuff.

Aqua/Magma/Galactic could hardly be called "evil" though, they were just misguided. Rocket did stuff and never regretted it. I just don't want another team with a leader that goes "oppsie daisy, look at this mess I made" and walks off never to be seen again, leaving you to fix the situation at hand. I don't want Rocket to return, I just want an evil team.

Cyrus had no regrets. He want to destroy this world for the sole purpose of making one with no emotion where he was a god, and he purposely tricked his subordinates to do so. Three of his admins didn't even care.
Also he blew up a lake.

Arguably he won in Platinum. He has the Distortion World all to himself.

I still don't even remember what Rocket was even trying to do. Make money?
They weren't even that evil, and just as incompetent as any other team.

I don't think people understand how much code is involved with things like the dynamic camera alone, and I know people have said Golden Sun or whatever has amazing graphics but I've never seen what they're talking about. Most DS games are built in levels, which you travel to and have to leave through a specific exit. Pokemon is very much a free roam game, which takes a lot more processing power.

To be honest the outworld is a rippoff from the hg/ss engine, all they have done is adjust the camera angle into a 3D view-ish point which I'm capable of doing in my hg/ss games with just a need of an action replay. They could have easily impanted in 4th gen games to make them look really good 3D'ish. Dynamic camera isn't rocket science.

COP: the recruit, is a full 3D outworld game, I can hardly say b/w are pushing DS to its limits. You people seem to underestimate ds's capabilities.

Cyrus was convinced that he was doing everybody a favour. He wasn't evil. The lake thing was intense, but after that, things became underwhelming. Distortion World was probably added in Platinum to fix this.

Rocket's goal was eventual world domination, using Pokemon and money.

I don't get it when people say GameFreak is running out of ideas... It's also two scenarios (In that one user Galactic Boss Cyrus, both at once!):

"omg, this Pokemon is too simple! It looks like a real animal, How unoriginal!"
"omg, this Pokemon is too complex! It's not real enough, they must be out of ideas!"

The DS is basically a portable N64. It has low memory for textures or polygon counts, and a relatively slow processor. Play a game like Final Fantasy 4, Dragon Quest 9, Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario Kart DS, Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars, or either of the two Zelda games, and compare them to some of the A+ PSP games like Metal Gear Solid or Dissidia Final Fantasy, and you'll see a marked difference in graphics quality.

The 3DS looks like it'll be a little better than a Gamecube in terms of graphics power (keeping in mind you are essentially processing two images for the same 'frame', due to the 3D gimmick). It also has far more memory and horsepower for high quality textures and polygon counts (as demonstrated by screenshots of Street Fighter 4 on the system).
