These new attack animations and sound effects are really, really terrible. I can understand wanting to speed up battles, but does the quality have to be THAT much worse?

A month or two? The game comes out september 18th, and it'll probably be leaked by like, the 11th. We'll know everything in like 2 days after that ahahaha.
The games have never leaked 7 days early.

Try September 15th or more likely the 16th.

You know, I've been thinking more and more over how they are planning a completely new Pokedex for Isshu, and I'm starting to feel myself grow in support more and more for it.

It feels a bit like whenever someone played Red and Blue for the first few times, how it just seemed to mesmerize and there was a sense of discovery. "Oh cool, Rhyhorn! I wonder what it does...." Back when nobody knew everything about it, and it was all new and exciting. Things slipped a bit for Gold/Silver, as there were quite a few familiar faces like Geodude as well as the new ones like Spinarak.

I might just be droning on a bit in nostalgia, but I wonder if I would feel the same way when I pick this generation up. That same sense of discovery and wonder. I rather like how they'd handle the Isshu Dex for now.

Hey has anybody compared Munna's HP in the new video to previous videos? If it's the same, it's safe to assume that it's got a 31 IV; If not then we have a nice range

147 in the new vid... can't find the old one though

the only bad thing is that youre GOING to see the leaked dex, im sure there will be no way to avoid it

But for the game's target audience, it's a whole new RBY. Save a couple Pokes they recognize from commercials and the boxart. *Sigh* Kinda envy them.

Actually, I feel that GS was the best for this because of it's mix of new and old. So I would think, oh cool Geodude I remember him! I really enjoyed the sense of wonder in RBY, but GS managed to mix that with nostalgia.

So by RSE you all were getting sick of Geodude and such?

BTW, I WOULD still like to see RSE remakes, especially with the reveals about Gen V making better usage of the DS (I.E. Polygon cutscenes, camera, better 3D, 3D battling, etc.). If Reshiram and Zekrom get cool polygonal cutscenes, I would REALLY enjoy a cutscene where Kyogre awakens. And I want to be able to see Armaldo PWN stuff in Gen V.

GS, while my favorite, did a horrible job of incorporating the new Pokemon. Half of the gyms didn't have ANY Gen II mons, a pretty big handful of new Pokemon weren't even available in Johto (Murkrow, Houndour, Slugma) and another handful were so rare you might not even know they existed if they missed a certin trainerr (Marill 1% at Mt Mortar, Yanma 1% Route 35, Dunsparce, Qwilfish, Snubbull).

Any news on an Elec/Water type? Or maybe even a Lanturn evolution? If we've seen about 20% of the pokemon so far, surely there has to be more that is unknown

I will say --- as someone that quit playing Pokemon when Crystal was released, and didn't return to playing Pokemon until HGSS was released --- I enjoy playing HGSS far more than I enjoy playing Diamond, Pearl, or even Platinum.

Maybe it's the nostalgia factor, but the flow of HGSS to me just seems more fluid than Platinum.

Hopefully BW retains the same flow.

So by RSE you all were getting sick of Geodude and such?

Oh yeah, big time. In GSC it was a nice bit of nostalgia. In RSE it was a major annoyance. Especially when you consider the large number of Pokemon that were not originally available in RSE, until we got Col/XD/FRLG.

So by RSE you all were getting sick of Geodude and such?

Yeah. I can actually tell my exact thoughts when I first played Sapphire.

"Alright, it's like they started over. Everything's new. Oh look, Seedot! :D First Gym, Rock. Hrm. I wonder what new Pokemon they might have...."

*Sees Geodude from first trainer*

"What the hell...."

Actually, in terms of Gen 2 Pokemon owned by Gym Leaders:
Whitney - Miltank
Jasmine - Steelix
Pryce - Piloswine
Claire - Kingdra

Note that two of those evolve from a Gen 1 Pokemon.

Let's extend this to the E4.
Will - Xatu (x2)
Koga - Forretress, Ariados and Crobat
Bruno - Hitmontop
Karen - Umbreon, Murkrow, Houndoom
Lance - Nothing

At least here they have 2 trainers with 3 new Pokemon, but the Champ has nothing and the first member really only has one. Pretty weak incorporation if you ask me.

Umm, so if you quit playing when Crystal was released, and started back up when HGSS was released... how do you know what DPP was like?

When BW get released here, would they be considered racist. Dento is white and Aroe is black. There's a Black City and a White Forest. The Black City could be a ghetto and the White Forest could be where conservative white farmers live.

Just came across this. http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=446882&page=583

the poster "snowyarticuno" posted 2 pics. one is a black&white tgc starter set but the real thing i wanted to show you is the 2nd pic. its a lunchbox with the 3 starters. you can see wotter holding his shell like hes about to throw it. maybe this adds more fuel to the ninjotter speculation.
Oh hey that's me!

The images are from Pokebeach, by the way.

Also I felt Platinum & HGSS flowed about the same for me. I liked Platinum's distribution of Pokemon better, though.

hnnnnnnnng
Dento is white and Aroe is black.
What does that have to do with anything?!

What is this I don't even

lol cool, didnt notice. I have always been following some of your posts for info lately. nice finds.

I think the cards with the question marks may be their evolution forms.

The Black City would be a ghetto full of poor blacks. There would be a lot of crime. The White Forest is a rural area full of what would be called rednecks. I get this idea because of the names.

I guarantee you that's what they are. The first round of theme decks are almost always based off the starter's evolved forms, and get first dibs on window space like there.
