I'm trying to decide on a lead-ape moveset, I have an idea, but can't decide on last 2 moves. First 2 are fake out and u-turn, what would go well w/ them?

Close Combat for STAB, since Ape won't mind the Defense drop much (it'll die to practically anything anyways, and you can U-turn). I'd say Fire Blast/Flamethrower for the last slot (depending on whether you want to risk the accuracy of Fire Blast).

You could run Stealth Rock, and invest heavily in your defenses. Finally, Grass Knot and Thunderpunch are options for dealing with Waters, but even with full defensive EV's, you don't survive long, so i wouldn't recommend them.

Overall, though, from the first two moves you selected, i get the feeling you want a damage dealing Ape, so CC and a Fire move make the most sense to me. You'll be completely walled by Water types, though.

Ok so like

infernape 1 has 24 hp 25 spd and a hidden power of 40. Not so good but better spd and health for life orb I would assume but

infernape 2 has 8 hp 22 spd but a hidden power of 62.

Which do I keep n ya I know those aren't the best but it's what I got.

Okay, i guess i'll try to answer this one. It really depends on what Ape you want to run, but i'll assume a LeadApe like the one above. In which case, go for Infernape 1. The Speed is necessary, and as long as you run Max Speed EV's, you'll do pretty well with it. The Extra HP really doesn't matter too much, i highly doubt Ape will survive anyways. You won't need Hidden Power more than likely.

It's a bit different for a MixApe, though, since you'll need a bit more coverage. I'd say use:

Lead:
Infernape 1
Nature: +Speed
EVs: 252 Spd, the rest are up to you.

Fake Out
U-Turn
Close Combat
Fire Blast/Flamethrower

MixApe:
Infernape 2
EV's: 252 Atk/64 SpAtk/192 Spd

Close Combat
U-Turn
Stone Edge
Overheat

I can't take credit for the second one, that's straight off Smogon's Ape Analysis page, but i included it there just for reference.

Thank you guys I appreciate it. I should have said which one it's a mixape using hp ice. I know the hp don't matter seeing as how he will die but I thought I'd include it just in case it would help. I like the spd too I just like that hp 62 power but three points make a big difference.

The whole rng thing is something I'm gonna have to read on as well.

I'm fairly new to Wi-fi battling, and I was wondering what the 'legal hacks' are. I hope asking this isn't illegal, I'm assuming that it's not, considering that it would be very ironic.

I'm also hoping this question shouldn't go into some other thread, (which it might, very might).

Legal hacks are Pokemon obtained through external devices like Action Replay, but with "legal" stats\movesets (which can be obtained within the game).

Legal stats would be including 31/31/31/31/31/31 IVs, right? (Please pardon the constant barrage of noobish uncertainty).

Legal hacks are generally allowed as long as the user informs their opponents that they're using such hacked Pokemon.

Do you het a decent amount of people who decline against battling you? Because I have seriously spent months on n off breeding stuff and it gets tiring, especially when u miss events via jirachi based on lack of information and breeding forever is a pain.

I tried to understand that rng thing, but forget it lol. That was insane to even read, let alone comprehend.

Got a question about Pokemon Battle Revolution ... Im trying to ado a 6v6 battle with my friend online. for some reason it only allows strict 3v3 and i cant change the rules. I have seen people do 6v6 wifi online tho with a friend so i know its possible. can anyone help me out with that? would really appreciate it, thanks.

No, not really. People will still battle you even if you use legit hacks, because well, you can still get them in the game, it's just things like Pokesav is generally easier and saves more time.

Couple questions regarding Focus Sash.

1. Suppose Focus Sash triggers, and the Pokemon wearing it is healed back to full health without switching out. Is the Focus Sash capable of triggering again?

2. Focus Sash triggers, the Pokemon wearing it is healed back to full health, and then switched out (or switched out and healed back to full health before switching back in). When the Pokemon is switched back in, is the Focus Sash capable of triggering again?

No, its like a berry and gets used up.

Is it worth running Jolly nature on the Scizor's Swords Dance set just to outrun standard Celebi and Steel killer Magnezone? Those Celebis usually packs HP Fire. Jolly nature still net 2HKO like what Adamant would've netted (speaking about other Pokemon other than Celebi that would already be OHKO by Bug Bite even with Jolly nature). Stealth Rock also helps. Running Adamant nature and getting killed by that same Celebi just seems "meh." I know Heatran can make a great partner for that HP Fire switch-in, but what if Heatran's gone? In that case Jolly nature can make a difference in a win/loss. Not every Magnezone runs max speed anyway.

Not really, considering your team should have a counter to Celebi since Scizor is probably your main sweeper, and you should build a team around it, but if for some reason Scizor isn't your main sweeper for some reason, I'd just go with Adamant, and if Scizor dies, at least you did damage to Celebi, I guess, or just switch out and let Celebi get hurt enough from entry hazard and stuff to kill it with Bullet Punch.

Would you read a warstory from the perspective of the pokemon? I was thinking of making one, but I don't want it to get flamed or poor reviews or locked for becoming less of a warstory and more of a science-fiction thing.

When will the 5th gen be available on Shoddy?

You gotta give programmers time to program in new game mechanics, new pokemon, new moves etc, researchers will have to test what moves do...I would say a year after Black/White is released.

Sounds sort of gimmicky to be honest, all a good warstory needs is good battle, good commentary and good editing. If these things are solid you don't need anything else.

I think you might be able to stop it being gimmicky, although then it sort of stops being a warstory. I can remember someone posting a 'warstory' about RNG which was fun, but ideas like that are normally very hard to make interesting. I'd only do it if it added something big to the story, rather than just for its own sake.

I noticed that Smogon doesn't recommend 7 Natures EVER, those being Lax, Gentle and the 5 Neutral Natures. Is there any instance when they'd be acceptable?
