Doesn't have the same color scheme at all, lots of things have electric as primary type (are there secondary electrics?), note that the mouth lacks Pachi's fang which is kind of important, the cheecks are a Pikaclone constant, markings on the head don't match pachi at all
Doesn't mean it can't evolve into it, IMO it's highly likely, plus- Metapod to Buterfree, and Kakuna to Beedrill? They are both somewhat chipmunk/squirrel like..

Mean its Primary Typing. And yes, they do.

They both have white on them. Emonga is Blackish/brownish on top, has yellow glide flaps and inside his ears.

If anything the fact that Emonga is white, yellow & black and not, like, pachi's blue (and white) should say something. Blue on electric types is fairly rare, and it's the distinctive part of Pachirisu's coat, something that would probably be carried to an evolution.

JFC, new flying squirrel is NOT RELATED TO PACHIRISU. How many times are people going to speculate that every new pokemon revealed is somehow related to an older one. Remember the whole Munna/ Prevo Drowzee debate? Yeah, it was stupid. And so is this. Like others have mentioned, it's a different color and doesn't really look related at all (apart from the fact that, yes, the are both squirrels). A big part of pokemon evolution lines is existing features being exaggerated, getting bigger etc. NONE of that would apply if the new pokemon was related to Pachirisu.

Especially since everything notable about Pachi would be changed.
It gained arms (and gliding flaps)
It lost its signature tooth
It's bushy tail is now a lot skinnier
Not a single ounce of blue anywhere on it
Spiky ears because "normal" mouse-ish ears that you can actually look into and everything.

while its possible i dont think its likely at all. they are about the same size, and the only thing they share is being a pikaclone.

and butterfree evolving from somthing else wouldnt make sense, beedrill is a little off, but bees still evolve from larvae. (though i´m not sure if they have a cocoon state)

E: ninja´d.

and, looking at it again, it really has almost nothing in common with pachirsu except the size, which does imply that it doesnt evolve from it too.

and wtf is up with serebii? first he calls ononokusu a mantis and now he says the plant looks like an owl~.~

Bees generally do have a cocoon state

I'm not sure if they resemble Kakuna, but they do have a brief period.

Right, because having the same color scheme, primary typing, mouth, cheeks, and markings on the head means it can't possibly be related.
Here's something to chew on since you're so adamant about this: Both Emonga and Pachirisu are the exact same height and Emonga is only 3lbs heavier. If Pachirisu evolved into that thing, I'm sure it'd be a little bit bigger.

Edit: Ninja'd big time while doing metric to standard conversions.

I see absolutely no relation between the two. Just because one flies and one doesn't and they're both Electric-type doesn't mean they are related. Besides, the flying one looks even smaller than Pachirisu.

What does it matter none of the Pikaclones outside of Pikachu have ever evolved. This conversation is pointless.

Heres a real question, in Rotational 3v3 battles will abilities of other pokemon still be active. Example will Kyogre + Ludicolo + Toxicroak. Will Ludicolo and Toxicroak gain hp because of their abilities? Will Plusle, Minun, and Gearu get their power boosts?

...and didn't they say all new Pokemon? I doubt there are going to be any common prevos/evos/old pokemon, and the pika-clone looks as common as they come. (Don't get me wrong... I think the flying squirrel is awesome and it definitely will find a place on my in-game team)

EDIT: I think it will activate Swift Swim/Dry Skin in Rotational Battles. The Pokemon are out, they just aren't using attacks.

the first one is simple, kyogre causes rain and it stays until someone changes the weather (i.E. TTar).

I dont think we have an answere for the second one yet.

Bellossom and Gengar.

bellawesome is cool enough to break rules :P

also, its still the norm that pokemon grow bigger when they evolve, and the two (i know im repeating myself) have nothing in common except being pikaclones and the isshu dex is supposed to only have new pokemon, and i dont think its only going to be obtainable with the national one.

Oh for fucks sake it is not a pachi evo. Why is it that every new pokemon that's reveiled ALWAYS gets a handful of people swearing by the bible that it's an evolution of this or that? Plusle and Minun were the pikachu ripoff of the 3rd gen, Pachirisu was the pikachu ripoff of the 4th gen, so common sense (which isn't that common) dictates that this new guy is the pikachu ripoff of the 5th gen. No evolution, get over it.

Flygin squirel: Spark
Pachirisu: Run away + Pickup

If pachirisu really evolved into the flying Squirel wouldn't it have two abilitys?

Edit: Wait, Eevee do that xD But itsn't it still kinda rare that a pokémon just loose an ability like that?

I think the biggest evidence against this flying squirrel being a Pachi evo is that it's probably wild as suggested by the demo. That would mean that it's probably in the Isshu dex, which doesn't have Pachirisu.

Strictly speaking, Eevee is in the same situation, although it is very rare. Either way, every generation introduces a generic electric rodent and they are rarely related. Does anyone know what happened to the "Master document"? Will there be more corocoro leaks on Monday?

Pokemon like Sneasel-->Weavile, Kirlia-->Gallade, Snorunt-->Froslass, and at least one other that I can't think of right now also go from two abilities to one, with the evolution's ability being a completely different one from the pre-evo's. It's another uncommon thing, but it's hardly unheard of.

Holy crap. Do people, like, scour the Pokedex to prove others wrong? GOSH!

Facts are facts.

And anyways, if the creators are really focusing on no new Pokemon available from older gens, creating a whole new experience making you think, "is this even Pokemon?" why would they continue to do the same thing like other generations? Think more outside of the box.. GF is.

Did Pokemon Sunday come on yet? I thought it suppose to come on at around 7 AM (5PM Eastern) yet I haven't seen any news of that damn thing.
No. It starts at about 6:30 PM Eastern. The first segment though is them airing a rerun of an old Pokemon episode as per usual though, so it should be sometime between 7:00 and 7:30 PM Eastern (probably much more towards the latter) that we'll get whatever info they're going to reveal.
