Sandstorm just seems to get a buff every generation. If Garchomp comes down, Tyranitar/Garchomp/Moryuuzu could form a pretty deadly team.

Yeah, definitely dropping in late here, but Sand Throw sounds like a great ability for any Rock type. Instant Speed and Special Defense boost for Rock-types in a sandstorm? Yes please.

The Eeveelutions so far have weather-affected abilities in the Dream World, so all I can see for Leafeon is Chlorophyll. Not sure about the others though.

Makes me wonder what other old pokemon can get new abilities.
I notice garchomp only has one ability, the dex decribes him as a jetplane flies at sonic speed! Sandthrow as its second abillity? lol goodbye chomp, uber forevever.

Serebii updated with the effects of Moguryuu's abilities:

Sand Throw doubles speed in a sandstorm and Sand Power increases the power of Ground, Rock, and Steel attacks in a sandstorm.
Aaaaand Sandstorm teams just became that much more popular. I might even make me a Sandstorm team next gen. I have always wanted to try using a Scizor to Baton Pass a Swords Dance and an Agility to an Aggron, and a Sandstorm is perfect for that.

With hippo and T-tar combo keeping sand alive, hell yes I could see sandteams being devastating assuming that the pokemon who get sandpower and sandthrow have decent stats and movepools to take advantage of the endless sand.

I do, however, think we now need some non-uber Auto-Rain and Auto-Sun users to balance this out. Sandstorm could potentially take over the metagame with all these buffs. I mean, it's permanent, causes damage, increases evasiveness, increases speed, increases special defense, and increases attack power. That's kind of a lot of stuff from just one weather move.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to a metagame revolving around sandstorm. I don't want to be restricted from using certain Pokemon just because they don't fare well in a sandstorm.

Not to mention sand is activated by two pokemon, hail has one, rain and sun has zero in the OU metgame.
It will suck if GF wanted to keep drizzle and drought exclusive to kyogre and groudon!

I just noticed this but shikijika brown form lvl23 has less hp than shikijika lvl20

Are the pokemon randomly iv'd/ev'd or do the state change in the weather?

I'm 99% sure that's just random IVs. The one thing that stays constant with all Pokemon that have different forms (Deoxys, Rotom, Giratina, Shaymin) is their base HP. What are the two HP values btw, we can probably find Shikijiki's HP very accurately from those two numbers.

Some Pokémon get new abilities? Great! I really hope starters get a second trait as well, Overgrow/Torrent/Blaze is just boring =(

And I kinda like the sound, when the ability activates, lol. Vappy closing its eyes is very nice. I wonder, if other status effect "change" the sprite, too? (Para = moving slower, for example?)

New trailer that focuses on the dream world also shows Doryuuzu v. Desukan at about 3/4 the way through!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vPw4GaSXoU

This shows Desukan taking neutral damage from drill liner. Drill liner is most likely (but not definitely) a ground or steel type move. This would mean Desukan is probably not a rock type. I stand by my original guess of ghost/ground. There are so many potentially awesome ground types this gen!!

Ice Boddy wont make Glaceon rise in usage....sadly.

Anyway, i cant wait to see what other ability Flareon gets this generation!
Also i can bet you anything that Jolteon will get Motor Drive even thou he doesnt need it. Q_Q

CRAP so the mummy ghost is not Rock type?
Oh well...im happy with Ground or Steel as its typeing since it looks bulky enough.

So it's safe to assume that Kibago's final evo is going to have base 100+ Speed then? I mean, base 65+ Speed is pretty fast for any base form imo.

True, but for all we know it was scarfed with the intention of damaging glaceon first to show it's hail recovery.

I wouldn't dismiss the viability of Ice Body Glaceon just yet.
In comparison to Walrein's Water/Ice Glaceon has Fire and Steel weaknesses rather than weaknesses to Grass and Electric.
It's HP is low but if Ice Body can be bred it will have access to instant recovery in the Wish/Protect combo along with Ice Body + Leftovers in Hail.
That sounds potentially annoying to me especially if it is paired with Walrein to whom it could pass Wishes on Fire/Steel attacks while always threatening to unleash godly STAB Blizzards.

Moguryu's Sand Power is a little less awesome than it would be if it boosted attack but it is still quite good.
Realistically, you'll want to pair Ground with Rock anyway due to coverage and Rock also gets the boost.
Then, if Doryuuzu is indeed Ground/Steel its Steel STAB will also get the Sand Power buff.
So far most weather based increases in base power have used the 1.5 multiplier so unless they've changed everything I'd expect the same here.

The mole will probably be slow as molasses (base 50 speed or lower) but Sand Scatter is still cool.
I see this thing being able to abuse choice items in combination with any of its abilities.
And since it's a Ground type forget about using the most common form of paralysis to stop it.
It's also interesting to imagine what else could get Sand Scatter and suddenly threaten to sweep.

You know what will be hilarious for the uproar it would cause: Garchomp getting Sand Power as an Alternative to Sand Veil...lol
Funny thing is that I could totally see it happening given Garchomp's flavour and existing ability.

What effect activates after Drill Liner is used?
I guess the text is too small to be read but it seems as if Drill Liner boosted Doryuuzu's stats somehow.
It wouldn't make sense for Sand Power et al to activate then.

I never noticed the secondary effect, but I'm not surprised there is one. It seems like all the newly revealed moves have a way to boost or lower stats in a battle.

My guess is maybe it raises evasion. This is pure specualtion because it looked like Doryuuzu became hazy when the text appeared...
