He doesn't learn Swords Dance (unless you mean something else), but it would work well with Claw Sharpen (raises attack + accuracy). Claw Sharpen + Stone Edge + Earthquake + Crunch would work like the DD set, except you have more speed and less chances of missing. Sand Throw would eliminate the need for him to run Choice Scarf, which means he can more easily revenge kill shit like Starmie, Gengar, etc. I'm waiting anxiously to see all the new info; there seems to be a lot more than I remember waiting for DP.

Anyway, double speed Ttar with a CB or DD *is* a scary prospect.

I'm having trouble working out ability prospects for the rest of Eeveelutions.
Chlorophyll/Herbivore seem reasonable on Leafeon but I draw blank for the rest.

Flareon already has the best Fire related ability while Umbreon/Espeon share the type unrelated Synchronize.
Maybe they'll both get the same status related alternative: Poison Heal :P
 
Claw Sharpen is basically a version of DD, right? Sounds like it'll become pretty popular. Although abbreviation won't be easy, considering CS is also Choice Scarf...

I see Aftermath for Umbreon, somehow. Don't ask me why, it just seems to fit for some reason. Espeon, I'm on a complete blank.

Oops, I meant DD, sorry, typo. Claw Sharpen would definitely be better, raising its already high Atk and giving it more Accuracy for Stone Edge. With Sand Throw, of course, and Hippo to set up permanent SS. For the last two moves, Crunch and EQ, just like you said.
 
i hope flareon gets flare blitz or something, shes overdue for it... reminds me of every other good concept crushed by GF

as far as tyranitar goes, he makes me shit bricks anyways, assuming swampert and scizor are gone... but of course he packs fire blast like that dick would.
 
Flareon just sucks too badly; it's not so much its lack of flare blitz but its lack of speed that holds it back; even if it run nitro charge, it still can't outspeed much at +1, not to mention literally any scarfer outspeeds it

With the Claw sharpen we will sure to see more lower accuracy but higher power attacks being used. Claw Sharpen/Dragon Rush/kings rock will be a problem if its used a lot.

Also, Infernape with Grass Knot and Close Combat can beat Peter Potamus and the Dark/Rock Godzilla.(I hope it won't. I liked the combo).

Entei got it, now it's Flareon's turn, agreed =P
I don't like the idea of Fire Blast, it would make it lose a valuable move, and it doesn't pack good Sp. Atk in the first case.
 
If Flareon doesn't get decent physical STAB, they could at least give him a move that works like Power Trick but that swap his Atk with his Sp.Atk.

That's just bad ass. I loved Moguryuu to begin with, and was planing to use it regardless, but this is just icing on the cake. I'm hoping it's evolution is Ground/Steel, which seems likely based on it's appearance.
 
Man, Moguryuu seems awesome. And since both of his abilities SOUND completely viable, he's gonna be a bitch to try and fight against. You won't know if you're going to outspeed, and you don't know how much damage you're going to take from his attacks.

I mean, if he evolves into Ground/Steel... well it's not like Steel is a good attacking type at all, but Ground/Steel is awesome defensively, I mean, having a 4x rock resistance is good enough, but it's also got resistances to Flying, Psychic, Steel, Dark, Bug, Poison, Electric, Dragon and Ghost! And don't forget, rock hits everything that resists ground for SE except for grass!

Kyogre and Groudon say hi, unless you want a one that's not Uber, because if so, auto sun/rain has way more impact than auto sand/hail, even with shitty movepool/stats, these abilities will skyrocket the Pokemon having them if not rendering them Uber.

Also, Glaceo with Ice Body, seems like we're getting new abilities for all Eeveelutions, and good ones at that. If Tyranitar does get Sand Throw then Hippowdon + T-tar Claw Sharpen is ...well MONSTROUS.
 
This fandom won't learn how silly Flare Blitz would be on Flareon until they see the cat-fox 2HKO itself in action, honestly. Blaze Kick and/or Nitro Charge would be a much better want, 'specially the former.

I'm actually starting to wonder how many things in the Dream World'll get new abilities. It's "obvious" the eeveelutions are getting new abilities, of course (Glaceon has the best so far, and even then, it's pretty meh an ability in my opinion), though I'd laugh if Tyranitar got even BETTER with Sand Scatter as a 2nd ability. Makes me hope even more that Skarmory evolves and learns Hyper Beam... XP
 
My bets, only taking old-gen abilities into account:


Jolteon: Motor Drive
Flareon: Cloud Nine
Espeon: Solar Power
Umbreon: Pressure
Leafeon: Chlorophyll


Yeah.
 
Tyranitar + Any Ability Other Than Sandstream sounds good to me. It would help it mesh better on teams that don't play well in the sand. (He's one of my favorites.)
