Maybe to make Pachirisu evolve you have to kill its parents in-game somehow. Or trade it while holding the Batarang.

And I've said it before, Fog wouldn't be annoying if Defog was useful. In my perfect world, Defog removes ALL weather conditions as well as entry hazards on your own side of the field, but it can only be used under weather of some kind.

I wouldn't mind a Poison-themed weather condition (too bad "Acid Rain" doesn't seem great because we already have regular Rain, and "Smog" is already an attack), but other than that I think we're pretty much set. They need to work on buffing the ones they have before making more.

Defog removing the entry hazards on your OPPONENT'S side of the field has got to be one of the dumbest, most illogical (well I guess flavor wise it makes some sense), most USELESS side effects. I can't even believe Gamefreak could have ever said to themselves "yeah that seems okay".

then everyoned just use t-tar for auto wheather and defog the sand on there side along with stealth rock etc. but i still like the concept

wait. defog is great in doubles. target the partner, and clear entry hazards! whos thought of that one up until now? a fuckin genious, thats who! (no not me)

Defog asctually has use in doubles

It's far from terrible there actually

Ehhh, I don't feel any real need to really acknowledge its use as a Rapid Spin replacement there. Then again, it's wholly possible the move was intended to be used in such a way in doubles, as it's not as if there aren't moves designed with doubles in mind. Who knows.

@Chateau: That could work I suppose. Doesn't seem that great as a weather name for some reason though.. oh well. Poison-themed weather could be cool, it's too bad Fire-types already benefit from sunlight, I could see Poison-type weather benefiting both Poison and Fire (maybe a perfectly accurate Fire Blast).

I've never heard of anyone using screens at VGC. As far as I know their use is non-existant as well. Not to mention the fact that their effect is diminished in double battles.

Who cares about VGCs, I see screens set up a lot on PBR online and off

The VGC is the closest thing to a competitive doubles metagame right now. Most doubles considerations are geared toward that (once Shoddy 2 is out, I'm sure a Smogon doubles metagame will be established).

Also, the main Black and White website has a hugenormous interactive map of Isshu. If you hover over the text bubbles a HD screenshot from the game will come up. There might be some interesting bits of info (if only I could read Japanese >_>).

You seem to be forgetting that this is a competitive Pokémon forum and as Sceptilistic said, VGC is the most competitive form of double battles at the current time.

I think itd be cool if only ghost types were unaffected by fog and only ghost types evasiveness were raised in fog. It could also increase evasiveness in pokemon with the clear body ability.

I think that would be a bit broken. Not only is everyone's accuracy being lowered in fog, but you want Ghost types and Clear Body ability pokemon to have increased evasion as well? Crazy.

Could you link to this, please? Can't find it on the site.

If Fog were to exist, I think Flying-types should not be affected by the accuracy drop. Fog is low clouds, after all, so if you are above them you can hit more easily.

Just because you're above the clouds, doesn't mean that the enemy isn't covered in them anyways. That'd be like shooting magic missile into the darkness.

But isn't the reason Fog is so difficult to see through is because the relative density of water droplets? Well, if you are above the fog then you don't have to look through as many water droplets (because clouds are wider than they are tall).
