Sig: I don't follow tiers, I like being creative.

The two are not mutually exclusive. People have boosted previously underused Pokemon into OU by being creative. Tentacruel is a prime example.

Things like Jumpluff are used very well in Ubers (where everything is allowed) despite being NU.

Using an unevolved Pokemon (Crocanaw) when Feraligatr does the same thing isn't a good example of being creative. You can literally do the same set with Feraligatr. You are using a weaker Pokemon for the sake of being "creative", not because it actually has some niche use.

Okay giving Blastoise Water Absorb would toatally rule. following this though what if they decided to give Charizard Flash Fire and Venusaur Herbivore (spare me the lecture I know it doesn't make sense...) The abilities are all similar though.

Anyway I was thinking of a couple Abilities they could do.

Ice Melt- If this pokemon is hit by a Fire type move it's primary typing would then become Water. (For Ice Types obviously)

Quick Sand - Upon entry into battle this ability would suck up all entry hazards.

Some Pokémon get new abilities? Great! I really hope starters get a second trait as well, Overgrow/Torrent/Blaze is just boring =(

And I kinda like the sound, when the ability activates, lol. Vappy closing its eyes is very nice. I wonder, if other status effect "change" the sprite, too? (Para = moving slower, for example?)

GF heard me!!!

I want this game so bad right now *_________*

Good Lord, I don't think you understand me.
QUOTED: "What's not to believe, I use an Aqua Jet Fera and a SD + Endure + Salac + Flail Croconaw. What's not to believe? I don't use 'the best' like most people here. Sig: I don't follow tiers, I like being creative. "
Holy Shit, let me take a look at that. Did I say that moveset was creative? NO. I simply said that my signature said that I do not use the best, I like being creative. End of story.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, stop posting about your "creative" sets. That means stop trying to be creative for the sake of being creative, which is just being stupid. I expect the Croconaw nonsense to end now. I don't particularly care that you "don't follow tiers", considering the rest of the battling community does.

flash fire zard would be soooo freaking awesome :D

honestly though if they gave Venasaur a grass absorbing move i would be disappointed since it already 4x resists grass

Ice melt would sound interesting if the ice pokemon could actually Survive a fire attack (like Heatran's Fireblast).

Quick Sand would be utterly amazing (on a decent poke), and make the meta less inclined to "lets get SR up as fast as we freaking can". you might need to change the ability name though since SR are "floating rocks".

Alright, sorry on that.

it doesn't have to be on a decent pokemon, put it on magikarp, and it's insantly OU.

Wouldn't that mean Gyarados would also have it (I assume Dream World abilities are carried over to evolutions)? Do want! I never was much of an intimidate fan.

Of course I want anything that makes SR/Suicide leads less useful.

I believe its already been tested that Auto Rain/Sun is broken as it was tested with lower level Kyogres and Groundons so based on their abilities alone they are broken. Even if they gave Magikarp Drizzle it would be Uber.
This is very true. But I suppose it should be noted that this is very true is the DPPHGSS metagame.

For all we know, BW could introduce elements (like lots of Cloud Nine pokemon of various types, high base power fire type attacks that "burn off" rain, high base power flying type cloud attacks that cover the clear skies, etc.), and weather could be maintainable.

I don't see your guys' reasoning behind this. Sure, Outrage is very powerful, but it's very easy to counter, since they get locked on in the move. I don't think they should adjust it at all, I have no problems with it.

I don't think Outrage needs to be nerfed so much as I wish there were better, more varied defensive options against dragons and their attacks. People frequently mention ice pokemon having a resist, and I agree though it's unfortunately unlikely. I'd also really like something like Draco Absorb (ala Water Absorb), perhaps even for a dragon type defensive Eevee.

I want Blastoise to become Water/Steel. Like, what exactly are those cannons made from if they're not Steel? >__> And all those extra resistances would make him so much more useful.
I sincerely wish that was a distinct possibility. :( Water types have always been such a dime a dozen, that I've never really found a reason for chosing Blastoise in game, and he's relegated to being a UU spinner competitively. Steel typing could seriously help him along.

I'm pretty sold on Venusaur getting Chlorophyl or Solar Power, and I do think it's likely that Blastoise will get Shell Armor.

I find Charizard a little harder to be convinced by. Intimidate would be awesome, but I'm not sure I see that as more likely than Flame Body or Magma Armor.

I do hope they give a grass Pokemon Thick Fat. Meganium, Tangrowth, Venusaur, and Torterra are the only existing grass types that could remotely be wide enough though (and even then, I'm not too sure).

yeah, gyarados would get it, wouldn't he? well then SR abusers are gonna begg him uber. and then blissey goes uber, then skarmory, scizor, infernape, dragonite, metagross, flygon.

hell, that mean no one'd use stealth rock, everyone'd use gyara. then after the smoke, SR would make a comback. and que cycle repeating.

im going Venusaur for chlorophyl. i use him in lg, and a beast he is. chlorophyl venusaur means not only would he be OU, but he'd be uber viable. uber sun team, here i come.

I hope all the starters get alternate abilities. Effect Spore Meganium would be a Pokemon who could actually take the hits and make use of the ability, or just give it Natural Cure. Blaziken could be brought back into the limelight and differentiated from Infernape with--well, lots of options there. Iron Fist, Limber, No Guard, maybe even Scrappy. [Edit: Forget Iron Fist. I was thinking Blaziken had Mach Punch for some reason.] I can't think of anything for Feraligatr off the top of my head, but a new trait could really set it apart from being Gyarados lite. Maybe Encourage, but that might be too powerful since Feraligatr doesn't have Stealth Rock and 4x Electric weaknesses keeping it in check.

I don't know what I'd like for Charizard and Blastoise, but for Venusaur I think Chlorophyll or even Flower Gift would be cool with me.

The DW abilities HAVE to be breedable.
I will tolerate nothing less. :P
It seems like more trouble to maintain exceptional abilities than to have a system where 'female' abilities are always passed down.
It also goes along with the gradual evolution of breeding (+ infinite TMs!) to make it easier to get the Pokemon you want.

BTW, CC is basically the only good fighting move as the rest have either crap base power, crap accuracy or self-defeating side effects.
So I'm definitely not in favour of a base power reduction.

Outrage is funny because it's a counterpart of Petal Dance and Thrash that they randomly boosted from 90 to 120 BP in Gen IV.
If they wanted to make it worth using because of Dragon's small SE coverage the same argument could apply to Thrash.
Makes me wonder whether we'll see the others boosted as well.

Chlorophyl Venusaur would be epic win.
Only trouble is you're inviting Sand Streamers to come in. I'd like to see Charizard get a Filter-like ability, since I think Flamethrower would be so much better if it weren't resisted by Tyranitar, dragons and waters, all of which are common.

Steel also fits with being immune to hail imo,
We'll see what GF cooks up for B/W...

Have you ever lived in a state with bad hail storms? I can tell you one thing, you hear alot of advertisements on the radio for car dealerships HAIL SALES.

HAIL DESTROYS METAL. :P
