Pokemon Black and White (SPECULATIONS ALLOWED HERE)

Tank was a bad choice of word...cannon would be more appropriate. Anyway IMO Octillery resembles a weapon much more than Remoraid does, and I would have thought of Remoraid as "just another generic fish" had I never seen Octillery. But if it's the other way around for you then I guess we'll just have to disagree.

Remoraid is part archerfish, part revolver, and part remora. Octillery basically takes the weapon comparison further while completely screwing with the species.

I really HOPE that GameFreak isn't mindless enough to make two unrelated pink heartshaped fishes that nobody likes flavor-wise anyways. I mean, why would anyone (who plays Pokemon) like a dumb looking fish that was shaped like a heart anyways (actually, I'm talking about Luvdisc and not the new Pokemon here, because Luvdisc has NO DETAILS whatsoever, while the new Pokemon has some details to make it less simple and less stupid)? I will be severely disappointed if they aren't related in some way. Although I also think it was kind of weird and dumb to make both Bronzong and Metagross blue Steel/Psychic type Pokemon (I like blue, and I like Steel, but I would have liked some more differences better; I mean, they both even have red eyes (although Bronzor doesn't, to be fair)).

EDIT: I don't mean that Bronzong and Metagross aren't different (when I got a closer comparison, I realized they were very different). But the fact that neither Steel nor Psychic is represented by blue, but two of the three final evos that are those types are makes me want them to be farther apart in color. Anyways, Metagross would look badass in a darker blue, and Bronzong's Pokedex says it's green, so enhancing the green would be good. Although, this shouldn't be done now (this should have been done before they were released). I think I will put some sprites up here of the dark-blue Metagross and the green-blue Bronzong, lol.

Talk about digression, XD.

Metagross is based on...something. Either way, it's cool.

Bronzong and its prevo, Bronzor, are nearly straight-ripped from a weird Japanese legend involving a bronze mirror.

The only thing I can think of is Water Spout.. but that's an egg move.

Oh damn that's a good point, hopefully these abilities can be passed down via breeding. Modest Choice Specs's Blastoise's Water Spout in the rain does 48.9% - 57.7%, impressive indeed.

EDIT: beaten. I completely ignored Water Spout in his movepool because we don't know if the abilities can be passed down. Let's just hope.

if articuno ever got snow warning that would make me happy with 5th gen no matter what. I know they are bound to have special version of that kanto trio&the others.

Blastoise with Shell Armor wouldn't be too bad, it'd at least mean that annoying crits won't affect it, but something like Swift Swim would be more useful.

Venusaur will probably end up with some sort of sun-related ability, or, if we're really lucky, Herbivore. If it gets that, who knows, it might just be OU standard if it gets some useful new moves to go with it.

Whatever Charizard gets, it's still doomed to be NU unless SR gets nerfed (which I don't see happening). It'll probably be intimidate or something like that though.

Maybe Generation 5 will introduce an ability that allows a Pokemon to ignore Entry Hazards, but not like Magic Guard. It would help bring back a lot of Bug/Flying that isn't Yanmega, and help Charizard out. I still think some users of Charizard would miss the Blaze boost, but honestly, that would be as good as it gets for him.

Solar Power Venusaur definitely gets my support. Venusaur, I think, is already strong enough, and could abuse Synthesis/Solarbeam/Sleep Powder/Sludge Bomb to some degree with a Sunny Day user for support. Simply power through near everything.

I would still like a variant of Solid Rock to be given to Blastoise, but thinking back, Shell Armor would be something beneficial to a tanking build. The turtle needs at least something other than Torrent. :3

Anyway, back to the matter at hand: I wonder if there would be certain changes in the movepool for older Pokemon via Dream World? Part of me screams for a Head Smash Aerodactyl with Rock Head to abuse.

It would still be owned by SR. But I do agree. More pokemon need weather starting abilities. OU pokemon with drizzle would be great.

Mountaineer Charizard (see CAP project.)

Have fun.

thats an OU staple at the least. if that happened, then their be world peace, an end to all hunger, a cure for aids, a cure for cancer, no nuclear waste, no use of fossil fuels, and a way to fix the ozone layer. so cross yer fingers peeps.

in a completely unrelated matter, is any one else excited for wargle (wooguru), or is it just me?

Sun needs buffed more than Rain. Besides, if anything, there will not be an auto-Sun/Rain inducer. Those two weather conditions can be extremely dangerous, and we don't need one that can set it up just by showing up in battle.

I did not know you received the first-stage of the starter, or else there would be more possibilites. For example, Torterra could have gotten Solid Rock but it wouldn't make sense on Turtwig. :(

I believe its already been tested that Auto Rain/Sun is broken as it was tested with lower level Kyogres and Groundons so based on their abilities alone they are broken. Even if they gave Magikarp Drizzle it would be Uber.

well i doubt that. or at least hope not

No it's true, auto-Rain is completely broken. Auto-Sun is too, but there are far less Pokemon who can abuse it. Fortunately, Sandstorm will never be as powerful as Rain or Sun unless the change the mechanics and make it so it powers up Rock-type moves.

Imagine then, if they give us good abilities in sun for fire types, how some simple three pokemon with Heat Rock and Sunny Day can destroy another team :)

Well for a handful of Pokes it will in BW, via Sand Throw, not to mention the boost to Earthquake. And some pokes will have doubled Speed in sand as well. I could definitely see TTar and Hippowdon getting the banhammer.

venusaur - If not how about we invent something like say this - Verdant Bloom - All health gained is doubled. (leftovers, gigadrain, synthesis, etc)
blastoise - drizzle. choice scarf / water spout/drizzle. would make him OU. (actually this would be WAYYY tooo strong)
Charizard - hmm lets invent something here. Dragon Wings- Changes the pokemon's secondary type to Dragon. Pokemon is immune to ground attacks. enough to bring him to ou as well.

well one can dream.

if they had this ability, there wouldnt be an auto sandstrom

The difference is Sandstorm itself does not boost the power of Rock-attacks. Sand Throw will boost your Speed, but then you aren't as powerful as a Swift Swimmer would be. Sand Power will boost the power of your Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-type attacks, but you won't be as fast as a Swift Swimmer would be. There is a distinct difference. Overall, I think they've done a nice job balancing the two weathers themselves, but I do not think Tyranitar or Hippowdon are ban worthy.
