Okay, I have had this question on my mind for quite some time now.

Recently, I have been EV training bred Pokemon to create the "perfect" Pokemon team. (Hardy har har. They are FAR from "perfect" or even WiFi Battle-ready.)

But, that's besides the point. I've been breeding Pokemon that have evolutions that are basically instant. For example, I recently bred a Jolly Riolu, and then befriended it, AQAP. Then, I proceeded to EV train it's Speed and Attack. (That is the correct way right? ['Cause I Rare Candied the Riolu as a Level 1 without any EVs or vitamins. {It was fresh from the egg, so to speak.}]) (Much like Porygon. I traded it at level 1 with upgrade, and then traded back with Dubious Disc, for a level 1 Porygon-Z. [Did I do that correctly?! Great, now I'm second-guessing my entire style of breeding. -.-])

So now, after studying Smogon and Serebii, and plenty of first-hand experiences, I really want a Swampert. (My battle tower team isn't very good...And I refuse to use Trick! That's just cheap.)

How exactly do I breed the so-called "perfect" Swampert?

Do I obtain a Mudkip, and then stick it in the daycare until it's level 15 and then forcefeed it a rare candy, and then repeat at level 36, and then EV train it? (AKA, no vitamin touches the Pokemon's muddy lips until it's a Level 36 Swampert.)

Or do I EV train that lil Mudkip on the spot, right then and there, right away?

Any and all help is much appreciated!

Than Kew.

It's just a preference. I personally like to take a level 100 Pokémon with 510 EVs, and the new level 1 Pokémon with 0 EVs, give the level 1 an EXP. Share, give the level 1 Pokérus, and then go fight Pokémon that award the desired EVs because you get EVs whenever you get experience, even if you don't actually fight. You always could Rare Candy it up to a level where it could fight for itself, but it's kind of pointless in my opinion.

kinda confusing post but i guess i understand your point...
Do you wanna know if make any difference in training EV in a poke right from level 1 or wait it get to their final evolution to do that, right?
the answer is no, make absolutely no difference whatsoever.
what you should really care is their IV's (Individual Values), that makes the "perfect pokemon".
And be careful with instant evolutions, cause some POKES only learn some notable moves at the first stage and only there, flare blitz for example is only learned by growlithe and not by arcanine as a matter of fact...

Hey, I'm making an RMT but my computer is constantly freezing up while I'm working on it and then it posts the RMT when it's not even done...this is the 2nd time it's happened and it's really annoying for me and the Mods who have to delete it over and over. Is there a way for me to delete my threads by myself?

I prefer to EV train a pokemon as soon as it is fresh, get the EVs out of the way and prevent any possible mistakes or confusion.

So I recommend EV training it from the start at level 1. Make sure to bring a powerful and reliable partner pokemon to switch to that has a good move with a lot of PP and 100 accuracy so you can use the PP as a means to count your EVs if you ever forget or become confused.

Also Vitamin EV training is pointless, as you can only get 100 EVs from it anyways you might as well go ahead and do good ol' regular EV training with wild pokemon.

No you can not delete a thread without being a mod or admin. My only advice would be to join this Social Group and draft your RMT there.

My way of EV training is that I start by lving the pokemon up to lv 20-25 in the daycare (pickingit up whenever the natural moveset changing might delete an egg move) then I EV train it all by itself. Vitamin EV training is really help imo. if you lv you pokemon the good old way (not by hacking rare candies) you probably have a lot of extra cash... ( I have 100 of each vitamins and 999 of every buyable pokeballs)
So yeah I believe then clicking A 3 times is faster then finding the right pokemon and beating it :p anyways, that's my way of training my pokemons, find the one you prefer. As Black Cotton says, the important thing is not to pass up on any moves your pokemon needs :p

How can I post a picture without entering in the web address? (aka i have a picture i put together myself but idk how to put it onto a post...)

Take the picture saved to your computer and either upload it to Photobucket, (or a similar website,) or upload it to an Album on your Smogon account. After that, take the URL address and wrap it in IMG tags in your post

I am having a lot of trouble with my Ninjask. I give it a speed nature and personality and max out its speed evs and select the baby with the highest speed but it never gets to 460 speed at lv 100. Apparently it should have 31 speed ivs at lv 1 .. but the highest baby has 6 speed ivs. Please please help thanks.

Are you shure those are IVs and not stat points? Because Nincada has only 40 base speed and I have yet to see one of my Riolu breeds (base 60, iirc) have more than 6 points in Speed at level 1. Just, as Lee said the first time you posted that, go to Battle Frontier and find the IV checker, see if he declares it flawless. (Also, one of the parents should have 31 as an IV)

Is Choice Scarf Scyther ever used in UU? I was thinking of running a standard Choice Band lead, but I'm worried about being slower than those Trick-Scarf leads...

Oglemi:

- The Adamant nature makes Marowak's Attack 110% of its previous value.
- In battle, the Thick Club makes Marowak's Attack 200% of its previous value.
- In battle, Belly Drum raises Marowak's Attack stat stage as high as possible, namely +6, making its Attack 400% of its previous value.

When all three factors are combined, Marowak's Attack will be 880% of its original value.

So pretty much if you assume that this is all correct and your marowak has 31 ivs in attack, and 252 attack evs with adamant it's 284 atk, x2 = 568 x 4 = 2,272 attack.

Which different generations are compatible for trading? What games or devices are needed to trade from said generations?

Firstly, and obviously, each generation can trade with itself, like Red and Blue or FireRed and Sapphire.

Secondly, the 1st gen and 2nd gen games can trade with each other through the time machine in the Pokemon Centers in 2nd gen games. However, only gen 1 Pokemon with gen 1 moves can be traded, which means no sweet scent, no waterfall, etc.

Thirdly, the GameCube RPG games can trade with any 3rd gen game, but the traded Pokemon can't be Shadow Pokemon unless they've been purified.

Finally, actual "trade" between 3rd and 4th gen games is impossible, but it is possible to migrate 6 Pokemon at a time from a 3rd gen cartridge game to the Pal Park of a 4th gen game. (These Pokemon can never go back to the original game.)

Only problem I see with this is that Waterfall IS a first-gen move, everything else is accurate :)
