that melkor guy is being cited as an incredibly reliable source by some websites. that twitter is ridiculous though ._. the game comes out in less than two weeks... can't we wait?

well, the Melkor guy is revealing new pokemon by descriptions, so what? Black and White are released in 2 weeks. 2 weeks won't make a big difference right?

He really hasn't revealed much of anything at this point, except for the two dog-like pokemon following Minezumi and Miruhoggu (I'm thinking they'll be like the Poochyena of this gen).

If I recall correctly, Serebii was revealing English names of various pokemon in the weeks leading up to the US release of DP; this nearly the same thing.

Well done, thick fat Empoleon can counter one kind of Heatran. Of course, all other Heatrans that aren't choiced rip a new arsehole out of Empoleon. Breloom counters a choice scarfed Heatran that is locked into Earth Power. Doesn't mean it's a good counter to Heatran in general.

43.5% - 51.6%
That's how much Defensive Empoleon takes from Heatran's Earth Power, and its primarily physically defensive. After leftovers that's an incredibly low chance to 2HKO. Meanwhile the same empoleon (with these outdated EV spreads) deals 73.1% - 86.1% to Heatran off of a surf. In the off chance that a Heatran does manage to trick Empoleon, and not be a choice scarf variant, Empoleon can still take the heat.

Meanwhile, Empoleon with Thick Fat could completely wall out or counter many sets from the following pokemon:
Azelf
Celebi
Jirachi
Kingdra
Roserade
Suicune
Skarmory
Shaymin
Tentacruel
Vaporeon
Weavile

Pokemon who Surf could potentially 2HKO and outspeeds with right EV spread and assuming MAX HP EVs on the defender's part (basically I'm saying thesae guys have to go for the revenge kill)
Machamp
Hippodown
Magnezone

Please note that a good deal of these pokemon straight up counter Swampert. If I fear bulky waters and strong grass types, then I would be better to put Empoleon on my team than Swampert.

This is a Physical metagame. If this were like the other gens and were special, Swampert wouldn't have as much against Empoleon. If the metagame can switch from Physically based to specially based, than it can do the same next Gen, where Empoleon resisting Fire will be more than welcome, as will its Special Attack.

He was. But if I recall correctly, the gen IV English names were the worst kept secret of all time. No wonder they got leaked by some troll at a webchat.

Has anyone seen this fake?

Empoleon ALREADY walls most of them already. Why would thick fat change the fact it walls Kingdra or Suicune (lacking HP Electric) or Skarmory (seriously? Walling Skarmory?)? Two of them regularly carry fire moves (even that is a bit generous, given Jirachi's and Azelf's versatility). That's a completely irrelevant point.

Your entire point was on the premise that thick fat would be a good ability? A defensive Empoleon takes negligible damage from Azelf's flamethrower already (assuming significant SpeD investment). Thick fat would half that, but it changes very little. They'd make up the difference in like two turns of lefties.

On no planet, world, metagame, would a thick fat Empoleon be worth shit over Torrent. It doesn't help it's walling capabilities (your point about Heatran's Earth Power just shows that Empoleon doesn't need thick fat), and just weakens it during the late game

Your point about a physical metagame is again pointless. Swampert has nearly as good SpeD walling capabilities - it's as good as it's physical walling due to identical defences and higher HP than Empoleon.

Since neither have a common neutral type together, let's take a single Azelf's psychic against both. Doesn't matter the natures or whatever, as I'm using the exact same stats for both. Empoleon takes 17.7% max, whereas Swampert takes 35.6%. Empoleon has resistance, but to show that the difference is marginal, if Empoleon didn't have resistance it would to 35.4% max, a fairly negligible difference of .2, which proves Swampert is just as fine as a special wall as it is physical.

Has anyone seen this fake?

did anyone think that fanart was REAL? XD if it's even supposed to be a "fake" it's very very badly done. i think the folks (melkor again? lol) are just trying to draw their idea of it, but people seem to think that silhouette is real... there is no silhouette...

well, yesterday i visit here and there was a link in which they show a picture of someone (i think its Pokexperto or Melkor) in which you clearly see they were playing Black and White. The picture was a battle between the 3rd evo of Pokabu and i think it was a new pokemon (i don't remember too much). btw, i found the link to pokemon global link

http://pre.pokemon-gl.com/

the official one wont have pre.

It was apparently a picture by pokexperto

Except that Pokabu 3 was called "Mijumaru" and the new Pokemon had Yanappu's name

@?????? don't you remember the sketch of Victini when the movie of Zoroark was released? obviously was fake and definitely not accurate. Fan made art isn't supposed to be exactly accurate.

Will someone please put an end to the madness that is those awful, awful, evo's? While GF manages to churn out some truly awful designs, they always put a lot of effort into designing the starter pokemon. Making them aesthetically "cool", planning out how they would move in real life. How the HELL would Mijumicorn walk around on land? Like a retarded walrus?

The colors on Mijutwo are simply bad, but so are Mijumaru's so that doesn't prove anything. Honestly, if the line is real, it's like a game of "how many different shades of blue can we put on a single evolutionary line?"

This is also not definitive, but Mijutwo and Twotarja are in the exact same pose as the beta art, which to me screams fan interpretation, but since Kibago has the same pose as the beta art it doesn't mean much. Maybe I'm just reluctant to believe that Gamefreak used a 5-year old's drawing from Take-your-kid-to-work-day as a mascot pokemon.

I lol'd. Once at the nickname you have for Miju3 and once for the second part xD

Anyway they were proved fake... remember that gif that somebody posted a while back that pointed out that little line on the side?

Hey guys just found this from browsing Serebii.net's forums. Huge interview with this dude called Hajime who claims to have a ton of info about the new games.

Food for thought
It's probably not real. Serebii denies it, and more importantly, despite someone within the conversation claiming the japanese is "perfect", someone else on Serebii says it's actually fairly awkward and off from what the text should be.

Also fairly iffy excuse behind knowing the information.

-shrug-

I figured I'd post it anyway. My opinion is that the whole stuff with Pokemon Trainer "N" seems plausible enough. The English names so early for a few of the Pokemon is iffy though (I don't like Ivyper for Smugleaf, and Wotter is a fan-creation I doubt Nintendo would use).
