Edit: While the Dragon/Ice type seems to go with Resh/Zek, it's not next to them in the pokedex. While that isn't everything, the trios have always been right next to one another in the pokedex. The 3 Flying-types are also separated in the pokedex, unless Serebii has it's info wrong.
Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina aren't next to each other in the PokeDex.

Read serebii's supposed types.. And i mean.....wow. if there's really a bug/Steel type legendary (they are really milking that typing dry) then Scizor actually could be replaced, likely only in Ubers, but I mean, ever since it was introduced, I thought Scizor would be kicking around. If its an event Pokmeon then it is more than likely strong, since we already have Victini as the Manaphy/Jirachi/Celebi/Mew of the gen.

Now these rumors i am aright with :D Bug/Fire is so needed, confirmed Bug/Electric is YEAH, Dark/dragon and fire/dragon have always needed to be made and Dark/Fighting has some sick coverage (maybe they took Voodom! xD). And turtle/bird fossil is cool. Not sure I understand Zoark though, if he's an event Pokemon why isn't he legendary? They did this sort of thing with a movie for Lucario and then it was just a normal mon, why they changed that is beyond me.

Really don't care about pure Flying type. Weak to SR and BoltBeam. Meh.

I am totally stoked about the information serebii just posted (assuming everything is totally correct). Dragon/Dark Pseudolegend? Yes! And all of the legends types sound interesting, there is a lot of potential there. I really want to know what they look like! The three event ones at the end have suprisingly normal sounding type combinations. Bug/Steel has definately been done before (an uber version of scizor!?). I don't think the others have though.
I really can't wait for these games now. I'm even more gutted than before that I have to wait for the english release...

One thing that sounds interesting is the pure flying type. I know it has been in demand for ages, but for what reason? Just because there hasn't been one? Or is it an ace typing for some reason?

Just hasn't been one, when there really should be. It's not the best typing defensively, but spamming an Uber STAB Brave Bird will be fun.

So, out of these pokemon likely to make it to OU

- The fighting types have a chance, being the trio of the generation. Still we haven't had a trio with this good of typing in a while.
Fighting/Steel- Hoping for a sloooow but incredibly strong, bulky pokemon with Technician. Mach Punch/Bulley Seed/Gyro Ball/Curse ftw.

Fighting/Rock- Speed and power. That would be ideal.

Grass/Fighting- Mixed pokemon with some powerful offense and some great support moves.

Normal/Psychic- Yeah, this is pretty much doomed to OU unless its stats are PERFECT like Mewtwos. Its a pretty crappy typing, offering little advantages. Perfect BSTs and perfect movepool are about all that can save this pokemon.

I think the "153" non-event Pokémon is misleading, since 3 of those are probably Victini, Zorua, and Zoroark, whom we know are Event Pokémon. And since Victini's no where near the end of that listing, it probably is #494, right after Arceus.

But then... where's Zorua and Zoroark in the Pokédex?

Melkor says it has an alternative form: Normal/Fighting

Pre B/W events = Zorua, Zoroark and Victini

Post B/W events =
#647 Water/Fighting Legendary (event PKMN)
#648 Normal/Psychic Legendary (event PKMN)
#649 Bug/Steel Legendary (event PKMN)

I (and lots others) always pictured Zorua and Zoroark as the Lucario of this gen. Not a legendary, but popularised enough so that it becomes almost a mascot of the generation.

The only difference is you could get Riolu and Lucario in game.

----------

Imagine the Grass/Fighting legendary got Spore. An overpowered Breloom would be absolutely wonderful. There'd be quite a few angry people on here though, some try and get Breloom banned as it is.

Although I love Breloom and his little part in competitive gaming, so I hope this doesn't come true.

awesome new legendary types aside
the video released of being able to trade outside and more importantly straight from boxes
has me excited , so much more convenient

I really hope that they fix a few things about current pokemon with different forms in B/W. Partly being able to use them online (Rotom/Giratina/Skymin) but that's probably a given. What I really want is them to make Shaymin stay in sky form when you put it in there, and not turn back at night time. So you can use it in evening battles and so you don't have to manually change it's form every day. How likely is that do you think?

Pre B/W events = Zorua, Zoroark and Victini

Post B/W events =
#647 Water/Fighting Legendary (event PKMN)
#648 Normal/Psychic Legendary (event PKMN)
#649 Bug/Steel Legendary (event PKMN)

There are 156 new Pokémon within this generation; 153 within normal gameplay and further 3 event Pokémon (#647, #648 & #649) that will be distributed in a manner similar to Darkrai, Shaymin & Arceus in the previous generation

I'm saying that Serebii is including those event Pokémon into the total ingame available Pokémon. Which doesn't make sense, since we KNOW they are event Pokémon.

Hmm... From the listing Serebii has, he didn't mention 636 or 637... could they be Zorua/Zoroark? Or are they right after Arceus/Victini and those are two other Pokémon?

It's that difference I'm focusing on. Why would they be randomly in the middle of the obtainable Pokémon if they're event-only? (which seems to be the direction they're going, otherwise what the hell's the point of the event Celebi/Beasts other than to have Pokémon to distribute.

I'd say Zorua/Zoroark would be there, since otherwise they'd be 1 and 2 in the Isshu dex.

Maybe just as a marketing ploy? Seeing how popular Lucario was (definitely one of the successes of Gen IV and probably the most popular 4th gen Pokemon across the whole Pokemon community), they think they can make the new one even more special to add to appeal?

Well, one of my questions was answered.

Not doubting just asking.

It is #494

Pokexperto updated with the same list, but added:
#648: Legendary event Pokemon, Normal/Psychic. Have an alternative form -> Normal/Fighting.

No, I just made a stupid post that I though Victini would be inbetween Sinnoh in the Nat Dex since it was #494. Thanks for correcting me TLK.

In regards to the the pure flying type legendary, how do y'all think roost will be handled? If I was game freak (I wish), I wouldn't handle it at all. Something that is so air based that it would be pure flying type would never come down to roost IMO.

"153 pokemon obtainable through gameplay with 3 more legendaries that will be distributable"

The interview says they designed 170, so I guess that means we'll get 17 (pre)evolutions for older Pokemon? If so, that's a really solid number of old and new Pokemon, imo.

Those types for the legendaries, omg. Dark/Dragon? Rock/Fighting? Yes please.

@ MauriiDS: I thought Pokexperto said the pseudo legendary line was pure Dragon? Isn't that contradicting what Serebii said?

I believe roost will be handled the same way. it's just that when it roosts before someone attack it, it has no weaknesses like spiritomb/sableye, but it wouldn't have any resistances either.

No, the interview said about 10 pokemon by each designer, not 10 exactly.

9 x 17 = 153

Then plus 3, so some do 10 while others do 9. There's 156 in the Pokedex.

I understand this, and this is a viable solution as well. It just seems weird to me that a pokemon would ever have NO typing, even for just part of a turn.
