Anyone know if this is possible? :/

Only possible by Action Replay or some INSANE friend mixing.

Okay, now for my question: where can I find caches or old Smogon archives of some Pokemon analysis?

I think it would be fun to see what the writing for old Pokemon analyses would be like (LOL SNIPER KINGDRA)

Searching the C&C archives is a pretty good bet.

Yes, your partner will join in on the Beat Up and attack itself. Bonersahoy said that it would hit the user, which is not right. I have checked this and confirmed it in-game.

Cool. Someone used a Rage/Skill Link Icicle Spear combo on me to gain +5 attack in one turn!
I'm going to one up him with a Rage/Beat Up combo to get +6 attack!

I had a Battle Tower experience today that made me wonder about how the AI works. I think it was the 70th battle of my streak, and I was battling one of the Eeveelution trainers. I had Suicune in against Jolteon; Suicune was at pretty low health, but it had gotten something like 4 or 6 Calm Minds. I used Surf, Jolteon hung on with its Focus Sash, and it broke my Sub with Thunderbolt. I didn't calculate how much TBolt would do to Suicune, but I thought it might KO, and I knew a crit would KO, so I switched to Garchomp; since Jolteon can't do anything to it, I knew I'd get at least a free Swords Dance. On that same turn, the opponent switched to a freaking Vaporeon. Suicune didn't have enough health to stall it out even with Calm Mind, and Earthquake didn't KO Vaporeon, so I lost.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows why the AI, which is notorious for not switching, happened to switch in that situation. Of course, Vaporeon was immune to Surf, and I know the Tower AI sometimes switches in something that's immune to your last move, but I always figured that was only when the Pokemon they had out didn't pose any offensive threat to your Pokemon (which Jolteon did, in this case, even if it did require a crit to KO). Is it that TBolt wouldn't have KO'd without a crit, and the AI is programmed such that, if they have a Pokemon that's immune to your last move and their current Pokemon doesn't have any moves that will KO without a crit, they switch to their immunity? Or maybe it also depends on your Pokemon's ability to KO theirs (obviously, Suicune had the power to take out a 1 HP Jolteon if Suicune lived)? Obviously, speed would play a factor in the general case, but I'm just wondering about this specific case where the opponent's Pokemon is faster than yours.

Reposting cuz I got ignored.

Is Deoxys-S simply named デオキシス-S in the Japanese competitive community or they use the full and rather long デオキシススピードフォルム name (which means "Deoxys Speed Form")?
Asking the same for Rotom-CHFWS, Deoxys-ADS, Wormadam-GS, Shaymin-S and Giratina-O.

Deoxys is formally known as デオキシス(form type) フォルム. However, in the Japanese competitive community, some people refer to Deoxys as デオキシス ル・サ (Ru-Sa, for Ruby & Sapphire), デオキシス FR, デオキシス LG, and デオキシス エ (E, for Emerald).

I do know that Giratina is also Giratina-a (for another form (anaza forumu)) and Giratina-o (for original form (orijinaru forumu)).

Edit: Should have clarified that they generally abbreviate by having it like this: <name> - <first phonetic letter of the second part>.

Rotom is somewhat of an exception.
ヒートロトム
スピンロトム
フロストロトム
ウォッシュロトム
カットロトム

They put the form type before Rotom's name.

Do I have to defeat the Team Rocket at the Goldenrod City Radio Tower first in order to do the Celebi time traveling event? I borrowed a Japanese Celebi from a friend, then tried investigating the Ilex Shrine and it didn't work.

I'm pretty sure you do, since the fact that TR took over the Radio Tower plays a part in the event.

EDIT: Are you sure it's the right Celebi? It has to be an event Celebi, IIRC.

Adding to Kestral, you also have to defeat the E4 and get the National Dex first, if i remember correctly.

Yeah. I forgot Blizzard too. So...

I am planning to run a Timid Heatran which will benefit a salac berry boost from my drifblim (and maybe some stockpiles if had the chance) with the following moveset:

Item: Life Orb
-Earth Power
-Sunny Day
-Solarbeam
-(Fire Blast/ Flamethrower)

Would like some suggestions for whether i should choose Fire Blast or Flamethrower.

solarbeam does not require to charge during sunny day. Thunder becomes 100% during rain and Blizzard becomes 100% during hail.

It seems I only have to defeat the Team Rocket first. I did that and then went to the Ilex Shrine directly afterward, and it worked :) Most people didn't tell about this requirement. I think any other Celebi will work, too, but it's better to try the ones that wore the description of "Apparently had a fateful encounter." Most other people who are saying otherwise could probably be because they haven't defeated the TR at the Goldenrod City Radio Tower before bringing Celebi to the Ilex Shrine.
