Besides that... Is anyone else facing lag in the Forest? It's starting to get on my nerves, specially in the Wailord minigame. It takes me four minutes to complete it, the hell is that. The Combee minigame also gets a lot harder, and lol do not even get me started on the Pelipper one.

I strongly believe just adding FC is not enough
Check out ur Pal Pad, all the names are grey with ???. I strongly believe you need to meet and exchange data over wifi once before the game will register you as actual friend.

I'm not facing lag when I play the games, however, it may lag when it's trying to load a different section. Once, I lost a game which could get me a Lickitung and when trying to bring me back to the forest, it took so long to load that it redirected me to the logout page. Actually wanted to see what happens when you fail to complete a game, oh well.

I first believed that I just needed to Game Sync to update the list, but nothing changed after that, so I guess you are right(I have limited Wi-Fi though, so if anyone wants to water my plants for free points, we can arrenge something over a PM)

Don't think it really matter much about pokemon met so long u played the mini-games.
At the end of the day, u can only transfer 1 pokemon back to highlink anyway.

I don't think of it as a competition or whatever you meant. I just said the amount as he did it.

And btw, you don't need to tell me how the DW works.
 
Do we only need to see each other on wifi, or do we need to speak to each other and do something for it to register us as friends? I'll be idle on wifi for the next 30 minutes, pm me to get my attention though.

This might belong on Simple Questions, but how do you find your Dream Points? Sorry.

If anyone wants to add my FC (assuming it helps with Dream Points and whatnot) my FC is 2107 4540 4193.

I'm really posting because I feel the need to contribute and this is the most fun way to do so!

EDIT: Has anyone already theorized about the type of pokemon you put to sleep to access Dream World? I was thinking about the PokeWalker mechanics and the whole type advantage thing on them. For example, a Ghost type attracts Psychic types, Fire attracts Grass...Could this be something to be explored, or am I grasping at straws here?

Sort of curious about it.

as soon as you enter the code, you get redirected to a page where it says,
'mode for buyers of poke pia, and you got ---this--- Pokemon‘
you can only click 'ok' (no i wasn't crazy enough to close the browser and back just to experiment)
As soon as this screen appears the code you just entered becomes invalid (tried on a different browser with a different acc at this time)

And you enter one of those dream forest scenery, a shaking bush...when you click on it the said Pokemon comes out...that's it...


As far as I know, all the gen 1 starters from poke-pia are male. (all whom i know bought the magazine got male ones).

Expect all current and future DLC pokes to be male only....

This might be a problem. If more rare pokemon like the starters and legendaries are only distributed through events or codes like this one, there would be no way to get the DW abilities, right?

Maybe it's just a 50-50 chance on these event/code pokemon- I can't test, I wish I had a code to use but don't want to buy poke pia.
 
You can still get their Dream World Abilities just not with any Egg moves besides the ones given in the event. This would certainly be a problem for most of the starters and Eeveelutions.

gundambot, if you tell me how many starters you and your friends got, I can calculate the probability that all of them would be male give the normal distribution.
 
gundambot, how many people do you know who did it? Remember that the starters (and Eevee) only have a 1/8 chance of being female. I remember going through 25 or so Charmanders in my Fire Red before I hit a female one x.x

I can't tell you an approximate number of people i know who redeemed their pia-code...
The few forums i go to...and blogs i'm searching & reading are implying everyone got theirs as males.
One can almost be sure the dlc ones are male only.

All it needs is a single female case to disprove of this, and there hasn't been one yet.

In 4 hours I can put to sleep another pokemon, I added everyone here so I will see if a previous WiFi contact is needed.
Anyway, Im available now to trade a pokemon if anyone want the game recognize me as an actual friend.
