Since the site was down before I could get on with Black around midnight, I only got on just now and--wow, I went from 2967 to 3438 points in one round because so many people had berries to water. Additionally, I'm guessing that when other people water my berries my score goes up (along with theirs going up), because I keep noticing point increases of 5-25 between when I log off and when I come back the next time.

And that's with a bunch of type-resist berries planted that take forever to grow or to need watering. I'm thinking that after those are done I'm going to start planting Oran Berries or something else that grows really quickly since this is some really nice point gain.

I also got an Exegute with Synthesis,it's a female though :)

Hmmm... I wonder why I suddenly have to wait like 35 hours before I can access the dream world. This happened when my poke was left sleeping during the maintenance. =_= Anybody having the same problem?

Are you sure it doesn't say 35 minutes?

I saw something interesting in the DW FAQ today... it says that the ability to make your profile public is temporarily unavailable. That means that (sometime or another) we might be able to visit random people's houses and get virtually infinite points for watering, right?

Today I found 3 entire pokemon, have I broken a record for least found in a day? xD

Just finished my DW run for tonight. The amount of forest runs you get seems completely random, as I was at the end of my fifth today and was still finding pokemon. Ended up encountering 19 Pokemon altogether (I quit the mini game on the last). The one minute warning came up and I didn't even have time to get to the tree and pick a pokemon. Kind of angry about that. The warning should be at 5 mins til, not 1. Nothing special, although garnered a nice amount of data and DW points.

I'm 99% sure the same pokemon always challenges you to the same mini-game everytime, however all the different hide-and-seek games count as one mini-game, as Lickitung has challenged me to this game in the forest and sky. Seems like scoring high on a mini-game doesn't always net you a rare move, nor does scoring low always give you a lame one. Here's an example:

Score -- Lickitung's Move
49500 -- Sleep Talk
38500 -- Lick
20000 -- Sleep Talk
11000 -- Lick

Sleep Talk is an Egg Move and a Gen IV TM, Lick comes on Lickitung at Lv.1. I've got some more examples of how random it is, though I will say that the score does seem to have an effect on it. Maybe secondary goals have something to do with it? Finding the berry in the hide and seek game gives you the special move? Just an idea. It affects score, but it not required to get a high score, so it's the only thing that makes sense, other than randomness.

I'm hoping to find some kind of connection between the type of pokemon you put to sleep and the ones you run into. I used the event Croagunk today and only 3 of the 18 I encountered today weren't of a type that is weak to Poison or Fighting (some of the 15 were combinations that that aren't weak to them). The problem is, most of the pokemon in the forest are normal and grass pokemon, so this could be a complete coincidence, especially since I used Lotad last night and only ran into one Ponyta and absolutely no water pokemon. Need some more data I guess, ^^.

BTW, anyone know what the Deru balls are for?

Been having horrible runs lately, today, I only met 1 pokemon on the first trip, then 3 on the next. Yesterday, I only had a total of 4 pokemon too.
Does anyone know if harvesting different kinds of berries give different amount of points? Would be quite unfair if both fast-growing and slow-growing berries give the same amount.

Just curious, what pokemon did you put to sleep?

BTW, thanks for Deru ball info Jayson.

Maybe, my white's DW points already overtaken my black's DW points.... T_T (2131 vs 2284)

lately my black C-gear and DW is screwing me up after I tried to exploit some DW bugs. Darn itchy fingers and my stupid programmer's mindset. T_T

Side Note: 69 Deru balls in my black... dunno what I do with them actually.

Yesterday, it was Armaldo. Today it was Muurando.

Try a poison or fighting type. I've had some luck with those. The type probably has nothing to do with the number of pokemon you encounter, but it's worth a shot. I ran into so many pokemon last night I didn't even get to finish before my hour was finished, and that was with good ol' C-Gunk. It was also a DW event pokemon, which could have some bearing on the fact.

Oh yeah, I'm going to Wi-Fi idle like all day today (literally from now until midnight most likely), so please meet me in there so I can water your berries and rob your trade stand of anything decent. Thanks!

I don't think typing has any relations to the pokemon encountered. The best run I had so far with 13 pokemon met was a with Ditto. If encounter rate is determined by typing, Muurando should have worked too.
And hopping on wifi now.
Edit: Your fc is registered now. :)

Thanks for registering me.

Yeah, you're probably right, but like I said, since we have no idea what effect the sleeping pokemon has in the DW, it's worth a shot. If it did take type into account like the Pokewalker, that could explain why you can get the rare moves with a low score (perhaps it lowers the score target by % like the Pokewalker did for items?). All completely BS theorymon stuff.

Another random Deru ball question: Anyone know where the guy you trade with is? Do you have to be in the multiplayer areas of the High Link?

I don't know about the actual harvesting, but as far as I can tell, watering others' berries gives 10 points each no matter what they are. I'm going to stop raising good berries after I send one of each type-resist to my game so I can just put up Orans and get them watered.

Got a regular Pochyena today, female, nothing special in the moveset(tackle,howl,sand-attack),was pretty disappointed since i scored really good.

For the second day... Dream World is telling me I don't have a sleeping pokemon when I do cause I checked my profile before I clicked Dream World. then when I entered the Dream World it's telling me I don't have a sleeping pokemon. Has anyone encoutered this problem before? =__=

I've had problems when I uploaded my Pokemon too long before I actually access Dream World.

Just got my haul for today, two females (Hydro Pump Surskit and Leaf Blade Farfetch'd), and a new ice cream game record for me!

Also, I need more FCs.. I only have one friend so far on my black! My code is 2150 4258 3271. I'm going to add everyone on this page with a visible B/W FC :P

Something I have been thinking about lately. Since BW does not have overworld sprites of 5th gen pokemon (except a few), theoretically, you can't meet any of them in DW and catch them in the High Link forest. If that's the case, why are there still data of 5th gen pokemon with DW abilities?
My guess is that they'll include the overworld sprites of 5th gen pokemon in pokemon Grey (or whatever the 5th gen's Platinum is called), then finally releasing some in DW. Does that mean we might have our pokemon following us like they did in HGSS? :D
