@Ungulateman, take a Lucario. It has to evolve at level 2. If it is +SpA it must hold a choice specs and only use Sp. Attacks. If it is +Att, it must run a Sword Dance set. If it +SpE, it must be bred first to have agility and another +SpE nature. If it is anything else, it must be bred to have one of the three options above, and keep that nature. Soft-ressetting is allowed for this Lucario.

Edit: You can soft-reset if you get a Luke that can't fulfil one of the above requirements (Male Bold for example)

Actually. That Farfetch'd is ridiculously unfair and would just make this a chore, can I request a new one?

If you don`t mind, I will give you your replacement. Tou get an electrode named E-Ball. Against the Elite Four it must lead against each member and immediately use Explosion

OK sounds cool. Lol at Agatha. Actually to make it more interesting I'd say must lead vs all gym leader/rival battles.

-Charmander (Smokeless). Can only become charmeleon after 6 badges, Charizard after 8, can only learn fire moves once it becomes Charizard, and only Fire Punch, Ember and Fire Spin.
-Spearow (ILiekMimez). Must always have Mirror Move and a Psychic attack. Can only evolve once it's beaten two GL Pokemon with Mirror Move. Must solo Sabrina's Mr Mime with Mirror Move and moves with <30 power.
-Ekans. Can only use Poison moves once Shed SKin has activated.
-Electrode (E-Ball). Must lead vs all GL/Rival/E4 battles and use Explosion.
-Snorlax. Must have Immunity. Must always have Rest. Only Physical moves are Snore, Rock Smash, Rock Tomb and Rock Slide. May not learn boosting moves.
-Magnemite (Vescuz). Must have at least two sound moves at all times. Must solo a hiker if caught with less than 3 badges, or Giovanni's Rhyhorn/Rhydon if more than 3.

And we have a winner: Athena, Adamant/Simple/17+8+8+6+8+7=54 (she also hates to lose). I've also decided to keep a Jolly/Simple often lost in thought that was almost as good

Ok, I've just finished the last exam of the week and will now train Athena (great bidoof) and proceed with the Scramble.

@Athenoderos:

Aren't the only moves that fit those categories Draco Meteor, Outrage (which is post-E4) and the Hypah Beamz? I don't know if that's even possible.

@Sprocket:

That is absurd when combined with Turtwig's evolution requirements (Level 40? The game's over by then). So I'll just make it no evolving.

@ungulate: Take an Altaria. It may only know offensive moves (ex. no Toxic, SD). The total power of each type of move may not exceed 200, and the grand total power of its moves may not exceed 250. It must know Rock Smash or Astonish and at least one Special move. No Hidden Power, Return, Draco Meteor or Frustration (just to be simpler). Name it Restraint.

I'd just like to point out that I gave doom my unavailability hours for this week so that he could pick a time to battle and he has not messaged me back.

I am not getting coin flipped again here.

There's also Fire Blast, but, yeah, that's tough. You're pretty much stuck with Draco Meteor / Hyper Beam / Giga Impact / Fire Blast.

I disagree, considering Ponyta can learn Bounce at 42. Not to mention I didn't say what level the opposing Pokemon had to be.

Sorry, I was busy most of this week, something came up. I pmed you about this weekend, though I could fit it in tonight if you want to.

Sorry about that. I was sure that it could get others, like Thunder/Blizzard. In that case, I'll make the limit 100, so you should now have a reasonable movepool, but you still cannot learn Earthquake, and must always have Giga Impact or Hyper Beam. And remember that you can have non-damaging moves as well.

Final Update on Emerald Scramble.

Hi Texas! I'm sure I'm the person you wanted to see the most.
Gosh, that charmander challenge seems difficult to me, don't you think?
I'll give you Cucaraxa the Ludicolo. It may only use physical type attacks but you can use one support move from another type
Dragonbreath
Texas, I couldn't help but notice that your username is a wrestling move. Therefore, take a Makuhita! Assuming you do know about wrestling and I'm not just being an idiot, call your Makuhita either Face or Heel. If you call it Face, you must solo Brawly with it after using at least one healing method. It must always know Arm Thrust. If it's Heel, you must attack your own partner once in every double battle you use it in, which must be at least 8 battles. It must always know Fake Out. Either way, it must always know Vital Throw and solo Norman, who basically uses Jobbers. No restrictions on evolution, but the rules don't change once it becomes Hariyama.

EDIT: Once you have done 4 gyms, you must switch the name from whichever one you chose to the other (name rater in Slateport) and carry on using the other rules. When you reach the Elite 4, you can use either Face or Heel Tactics. Face Tactics mean that you must use a fighting move on every non-ghost to prove your toughness, and heel means that you must switch out at least twice in 3 of the battles.

Texas Cloverleaf, here's your Pokemon...

One day, while walking in the grass, you find a rare Pokemon! A Swablu! You catch it & call it Cotton, because of the wings & you treat it as if it was your favourite Pokemon.
Then one day, you were raising your Pokemon & suddenly, it evolves into the almighty Altaria! You start thinking that it isn't cute anymore, but then it starts using powers that a Dragon has!
You start thinking of it as a cool Pokemon & before you know it, it has Dragon Dance, Earthquake, & Dragon Claw!
You appreciate it & then one day, your Altaria faces off against Drake & your Altaria shows that he/she is the superior Dragon by sweeping his entire team! And then you suddenly think Wow! Altaria is the best Dragon ever...

Recap:
-Catch a Swablu & name it Cotton.
-Once it becomes an Altaria, It must know & keep Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, & a move of your choice before the E4.
-It must Solo Drake.

Athenodoros
Wow. I leave the thread for 5 minutes (read: 12 hours) and it goes nuts. And so:

@ Texas Cloverleaf: You get a Gardevoir, which must learn and always keep Calm Mind. It must have Synchronise, and in order to evolve into a Gardevoir it must inflict status on two Pokemon using Synchronise, unless it is Calm, Careful, Gentle, Mild, Modest or Relaxed, in which case it needs only one.

So texas cloverleaf, i herd u liek mudkipz, so i gave u 1! Its name is Meme Fish. It noes lots of people liek mudkipz, so it will use attract every time it sees a new pokemon, regardless of gender, to find out if they liek or dont liek mudkipz. as soon as possible, get in a double battle with its fellow water type Cucaraxa and use attract on Cucaraxa to find out if Cucaraxa lieks mudkipz. If attract works, Meme fish will become best friends with Cucaraxa. Whenever cucaraxa or meme fish is sent out for a double battle the other must be preset, and they must solo liza and tate together to prove their friendship. aditonally, meme fish will always carry rain dance and set it up for cucaraxa to activate its abiltiy whenever they double battle. But, if cucaraxa doesnt liek mudkipz, then cucaraxa will become meme fish's arch rival and will only use physical moves as well, trying to one up cucaraxa.

edit: just wanted to make it clear, if attract fails on cucaraxa, you dont have to carry rain dance. Thats only if attract works.
Treadshot A1
Texas, how could you be so cruel? Your Gardevoir was snatched from it natural habitat, and you left it's best friend Abra behind. How could you?
Well, after the 3rd Gym, you have to go back and catch an Abra at the route closest to wherever you caught Ralts that has an Abra on it. Call it "Bridge". Unfortunately during Gardevoir's absence it has grown depressed and it's psychic powers have weakened. Therefore, it is unable to attack in battle (it may be in battle but can't execute a move). Spending time with Gardevoir helps it recover, though, so after 50 hrs of play time with Gardevoir it gains enough strength to evolve to Kadabra, and use moves with under 50 BP. After 100hrs of play time(Inc. The original 50), it has enough energy to become Alakazam, and use moves with under 80 BP.

Oh and if Gardevoir faints, Abra becomes depressed again and cannot be used until after the next gym is beaten.

Heel (Hariyama) lv 48, Brave
Fake Out, Vital Throw, Strength, Bulk Out

A fairly strong and bulky member of the team he helped out a lot with Glacia and especially Sydney. That fucking Shiftry would have swept me without Vital Throw.

Cucaraxa (Ludicolo) lv 46, Bashful
Focus Punch, Toxic, Double Team, Dive

Once he evolved and finalized his moveset he actually became a beast. With DoubleToxicPunching he could beat pretty much anything. Too bad he didn't do much in the league.

MVP

Gardevoir lv 50, Hardy
Calm Mind, Psychic, Thunderbolt, Double Team

An absolute monster, virtually nothing KOed it (incuding Bannette STAB Shadow Balls) and despite it being a Psychic type it was my best weapon against Ghosts. It completely swept Wallace at +6 SpA, SpD and Evasion.

Cotton (Altaria) lv 50, Calm @Kings Rock
Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Fly, Earthquake

Wow, this think was an absolute tank. His Attack was a bit underwhelming but literally the only move that ever OHKOed him was Ice Beam. Soloing Drake was a bitch though. He had to set up to +6 Atk, Spe against Flygon with lots of Hyper Potions without getting Critted, then had to either Flinch Mence or stall for a Rock Slide miss since he 2HKOed me with Dragon Claw or Rock Slide while I only 3HKOed (including Sitrus) in return.

Meme Fish (Swampert) lv 48, Brave
Mud Shot, Brick Break, Attract, Surf

Meh, he was underpowered a lot but still managed to do well with Mud Shot and Brick Break. The Attract rule was a bitch though.

LVP

Bridge (Abra) lv 11, Nature=Who Care
Teleport, Flash
Lol this thing retrospectively actually made my run sooo much easier. This is beacuse its share of experience was distributed around the rest of the team. I essentially had a Four mon team.

Ranking system of Team
Early-Game: 1. Marshtomp 2. Makuhita 3. Ralts 4. Lombre. 5. Abra
Mid-Game: 1. Gardevoir 2. Hariyama 3. Marshtomp 4. Lombre 5. Swablu 6. Abra
Late-Game: 1. Gardevoir 2. Altaria 3. Ludicolo 4. Hariyama 5. Swampert 6. Abra

So Swampert consistently declined, Hariyama was good early but fell late, Gardevoir started slow but became a beast, Ludicolo was crap until the endgame, Altaria was great when it evolved and Abra was lulz.

You're welcome, Cloverleaf. Nice team you have there (except Abra. I can only assume Treadshot was having his daily two-minutes-hate at that point.)

Yup Gardevoir is pro. On the Treadshot issue I find it funny that a mon he intended to ruin my team ended up helping it by reducing the amount of grinding required by a lot.

On a side note final time was about 24 hours with 6 hours that shouldn't be there when I accidentally left it on over night.

I'll probably take a LeafGreen or HeartGold Scramble soon.

Oh, please do. I had one of my "creative" days and came up with one hell of a HG/SS challenge. Well... not exacly challenging, but creative (in my opinion). I'm actually looking foward to setting it :naughty:. Start soon! (please:toast:)

Dude first you try to steal A1's MTPs, and now you try to steal my thing; creative challenges.

All kidding aside, damn cloverleaf you do these so fast, I honestly haven't even started mine (I'll let ya'll know when I do, I hope to get on it soon). I assume Cucaraxa didn't liek meme fish? I was confused how an all physical pokemon could learn surf, but then I realized; I had worded the challenge as must USE only physical moves, not LEARN only physical moves!

@ doom: exactly

Alright I`m bored with my HG Nuzlocke so I will start takingchallenges for a HeartGold Scramble.
Rules
-nograss types
-no Nidos, wooper, Heracross,eeveelutions
-would appreciate it if I get a Murkwo or Misdreavus

Well then have at it. I`m signing off for the night though so don`t expect replies.

Texas, take Cyndaquil, name it bamf and teach that badass Sunny Day, Smokescreen, Fire Blast, and FUCKIN' SOLARBEAM. It better use that shit every fuckin battle. bamf is a fuckin' GANGSTER. Make him a Typhlosion ASAP. If you let this bitch die, you don't get SHIT from it until your other 'mons are FIVE FUCKIN' LEVELS HIGHER than it was. It's gotta solo them Rocket (BAN ME PLEASE) and the Burglars too, 'cuz they're a fuckin' threat to his being. HOWEVAH, if he dies in the Rocket place, you better GTFO and make sure it doesn't happen ONE MORE FUCKIN' TIME by gaining a fuckin' level.

Fuckin' synopsis:
-Cyndaquil named bamf
-Must know Sunny Day, Fire Blast, Smokescreen, and Solarbeam by E4
-If it ever faints, all your other Pokemon must be 5 levels higher than it is before you may use it again
-Must solo Burglars and Rockets
-Must evolve as soon as possible
-5-level rule does not apply if bamf faints in the Rocket stage. However, you must leave, use the PokeCenter, and level up once so it doesn't happen again

Smeargle is at the Ruins of Alph. FUCKIN' IMPOSSIBLE to find.

In Silver, he's in the Ruins of Alph, in a little patch of grass you need strength and surf to get to. I can give better instructions if you want. You can also find him in the Safari zone.

Texas, take an Unown named Cast Lots. You must determine its Hidden Power type. That is your new team member's type. To figure out exactly which Pokemon, get a list of that type's Pokemon (including dual-types), the first Pokemon alphabetically on that list that you can obtain, is yours. However, instead of A being the first letter, you must start at the letter of your Unown.

For example, say you get an F Unown with a Dark type Hidden Power. You look for a Dark Pokemon starting with the letter F (there is none), then G (nope), then H. Your Pokemon would be Honchkrow. You must do this with the first Unown you find, and you can't use any calculators or formula's to determine its typing. You can evolve the Pokemon you get, and you can skip it if it's not in HG, or is unobtainable before the Elite Four. Your Pokemon must know at least two moves of whatever type you got, and you must tell us what you got :)

Although I would have tweaked the rules slightly, i heartily endorse this challenge. Bravo. A+ challenge imo.

I might think of a challenge for cloverleaf if I get some inspiration before his six pokemon fill up.
