In Pokemon XD, what happens if you defeat Mirror B the final time with Dragonite? Does he stay at the Lighthouse, or does he resume his roaming shenanigans? Thank you! :D

If you beat his entire team, including KOing Dragonite, I'm not actually sure what happens. I assume he either stays there until you snag Dragonite or just leaves and comes back after a while so you can try again.

I know for a fact, however, that if you snag Dragonite and beat him, he leaves the lighthouse, then finds the Miror Radar's tracker in his afro and destroys it, rendering the Miror Radar useless and removing it from your item list. He can then be found dancing on stage at the Krabby Club afterwards. He never battles you again, though.

I have a question myself...

Looking through the analysis threads & shit, I often see a couple of terms: Speed Creep & Power Creep. Can someone explain these terms in plain english?

Speed creep is a poke that has a huge speed base stat. Power creep is for Atk/SpAtk stats.

Why do people ask if ___ is a good place to hatch a pokemon? Do certain areas give special stats? Or is it just for novelty purposes?

Thanks for the explanation, zdrup & darkamber! :)

Average, It's simply because they're the places where you can go in a straight line without fear of a wild pokemon battle. It's also more convenient as you can hatch the eggs fast & in most cases, keep an eye on the Day Care Man to see if they have an egg for you to keep.

They don't give special stats or anything, they're simply a more convenient place to hatch eggs.

EDIT: Goddamn it, Ninja'd...

Haha, not quite, Random, but that's what I usually do (just ride around by the Daycare).

But yeah, some people are suckers for fitting locations. Phione in Whirl Islands or Pikachu in Mt. Silver are examples (yet to see either though).

Can anyone tell me exactly what happened with pokélab, and why? I can't find any announcement about it, and I can only find vague snippets of info mentioned in passing. Will Pokélab be the simulator we use for Gen 5? I'm really confused about all this.

Hey, everybody! I've got a quick tier question for you. Why are Salamance and Garchomp banned, while Blissey, Celebi and Tyranitar are still considered "ballanced" in the OU?

Edit: Almost forgot: does anybody have any survival tips for in-game Heart Gold, or perhaps a link to a guide. Also (I'm not going to get too detailed with this) the team I'm considering for getting through the game is Feraligater, Machamp, and Gengar for sure, while I'm considering Scizor (no, it's not avalable early in the game but I'm going to trade for it), Magneton, Nidoking, Mamoswine, and Lanturn. I'm massively undecided, so I think I need some experienced help.

Edit 2 (This is sad...): Why exactly did the releases of Platinum and HG&SS change the metagame so much?

Thanks a bunch, Athenodoros. And for the record, Lapras is the one true PokeGod!

@ domeface: Look in the suggestion box. There was a thread about it there. I'll probably edit it into this post in a minute.
EDIT: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81636

@ Jason 137:
1) It was decided that they were too hard to counter, and that they would almost always bring down a couple of Pokemon with them. By contrast, all three of the Pokemon you mentioned are checked to an extent by Scizor.

2) You don't really need any tips for in-game stuff. It is easy enough that you can get through with anything, thus the large number of threads which give "challenges". Just pick your favourites.

3) They introduced new moves, such as Scizor w/ Bullet Punch and Salamence w/ Outrage, which were defining moves for many of the biggest threats in the metagame.

Sorry, nope. Exceptions are Ty and Gabby who will appear on TV after you battle them and give them a phrase. Also, the Name Rate will appear on TV if you nn a poke. otherwise, to the best of my knowledge, all the post-E4 TV shows are random.

Ok, so my new goal is to catch an Adamant Technician all 31d Scyther in the Bug Catching Contest. The problem is, I have never done an RNG in my life, and my computer as ultra firewall settings that will not let me download RNG Reporter (nor would I really know how to use it). Can someone give me some help, preferably some personal help with PMs and such. I REALLY want to do this, thanks in advance!
:D

Try over in the Wifi forum. Most RNG happens there. However, it will be incredibly difficult and inconvenient without the RNG reporter. I really suggest finding a way around your firewall: it shouldn't be too hard.

I'm looking to build a new team, and now I wonder if there is a place where I can check what Pokémon resist what set if types. For example, lets say I have a Heatran, being weak to Ground, Fight and Water. Is there a place where I can enter these types, and see what Pokémon resist that combination?
