If a Sky Forme Shaymin is frozen (and thus reverting to its Land Forme) and is then switched out, is it instantly healed of its frozen status and reverted to Sky Forme due to its ability changing to Natural Cure?

Need help replacing 2 spots on my team if someone can assist. I am a bit new so I do not know the ins-and-outs of poke battles just yet.

This team was created out of frustration of getting my butt kicked with any defensive team I tried to assemble (i am a defensive kinda guy). My stall/hazard team just wasnt cutting it. I would lose 5+ matches in a row before getting 1 or 2 wins. It was a bit rediculous.

Anyway, this is a bit more offensively balanced. I need to replace the last two spots (or at least just Suicine). My problem is that I need a physical wall and also need a water/grass/electric pokemon as those are the ones I do not have yet on the team.

I am fine with changing other members around if absolutely nessesary but I would rather not touch Azelf, Infernape, Gengar and Blissey as they have all proved their worth on the team. Same cant be said for Breloom and Suicine.

Here is the team and what they bring to the table.

Azelf @ Expert Belt Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Flamethrower
- Grass Knot
- Nasty Plot

I use Azelf as an offensive lead. Most of the time I get the first turn for free which allows me to set up nasty plot. After that I can usually kill 2 or 3 pokes before being fainted. He is a bit of a surprise as most people expect a Taunt, Stealth rock. Meanwhile they get a Psychic attack with 700 ish special attack stat. The problems comes when I cross other offensive leads. Sometimes I gamble and go for Nasty Plot while I should have just attacked straight to get the offensive lead out of the way. When this strategy works, I can take 2-3 pokes with ease (sometimes even more), but when it doesnt work, it usually results in the opponent faintings 1-3 pokes of mine before I stabilize myself again.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Substitute

My 2nd Special Attacker. I use gengar later in the game to fully utilize that speed. He is also extremely useful late game as if a gengar counter is already taken out gengar can be the most frustrating pokemon in the game. He is not replaceable simply because I love his typing, speed and attack.

Infernape (M) @ Black Belt
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fire Punch
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance

Primary Physical attacker. Used mid game or sometimes as early as the 2nd pokemon. Basically I try to get swords dance up asap (usually on a switch) which lets me plow through 2 or so pokes before something stops me. All in all infernape isnt exactly key to the team but he gives me much needed physical attack with really fast speed and an awesome revenge killer.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Softboiled
- Wish

Special Wall. Need I say more?? Blissey does what blissey does best. The best part is Blissey can win games for you late in the game if people do not have appropriate counters. Toxic and Softboiled can outlast many foes that come ill prepared. Blissey is the only poke that seems to always make my teams. More then once have I started a battle and gotten my first 3 pokes KO'd without taking one out myself. Saved blissey for last pokemon just for the opponent to throw everything they have at her with no luck.

Breloom (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Seed Bomb
- Focus Punch
- Substitute

- Spore

Replaceable. Originally included as a 2nd physical attacker in case of crossing blissey late in game without infernape. Also included into the team because it fills the grass type poke I needed. The problem is I never seem to get much out of him. Out of all attackers on the team he gets the least amount of kills. Sure focus punch 1KO's alot of foes, but all in all I feel like i can replace him and be ok. I also LOVE being able to sleep an opponent when in danger. An ability i would like to keep in replaced.

Suicune @ Leftovers Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Calm Mind
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Replaceable. Needed a water poke and just added suicune. Hasnt been too bad but I just think I can do better here.

In closing, I would love to replace the last 2 pokes. I def want to add a physical wall with good lasting power. I would also like to have a water/grass/electricity types to be present in one of the spots at least. I like well rounded teams with a variety of types. I feel naked not having a water or grass type on the team. Same with electricity.

I am lost and do not know how best to replace these pokes. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

How does Blissey get Wish? I can't find it in its or its pre-evolutions' egg moves. I assume that you would breed with a Togetic ... but if it doesn't have it as an egg move it won't learn it right?

EDIT: For the guy above me, you could try an offensive Starmie in place of Suicune. It has awful defences compared to Suicune but it still gets Recover if you want to heal, and it has amazing versatility with its impressive type coverage. Starmie can make use of BoltBeam, Surf, and Pychic, although the latter covers less than the other three and can be replaced by Recover. Combine with the usual held items and offensive nature/EV spread. Natural Cure is the better ability for battling, obviously. There are several excellent variations of Starmie on the site's strategy Pokédex.

it gets it form the WSMKR events (GBA)

I keep breeding voltorbs and their IVs are are relatively the same 80% are 31 in SpD and Im breeing them from one with perfect SpD and very good other stats. he has no power item on him, but why does he have his best stat passed down every time. I need one with perfect speed but i cant get IT!

hi my 1st question would be if a modest nature togekiss can outrun any pokemon in a battle thank you

and my 2nd question is if a gliscor with ev is good enough for a lead pokemon 40 hp 252 def 218 speed

thank you really need your expert opinions

@xzero: Use This.

Then, yes. Gliscor can work well, even if it is a bit unconventional.

@ Kipp: I'd say so. Or perhaps that tower to the NW of Ecruteak.

I know this has been answered but I can't find it.
What are credits and what are they for? Link to me information if possible.

I am new to this site and poke games but if I read correctly, credits are used by pokemon traders as currency or "store credit". People breed all different kinds of pokes and charge say a credit each or 2 credits for the legends etc, and sell them to other trainers via WiFi. I would also imagine each show has an exchange rate for ingame items (say 1 credit equals 15k ingame money or X items etc).

Could be wrong but I think thats what the credits are for.

I'm preparing a "decoy" Clefable for double battle use in PBR based on one in the Master Round. It will be:

Clefable (@Leftovers) w/ Magic Guard, Bold/Impish
- Wish
- Protect
- Cosmic Power
- Follow Me

Obviously the plan is to pair it up with Pokés that require 2-3 turns of setup, but are too frail to do so on their own.

I'm having trouble deciding on my EV spread. Should I go 252 on each Defence and 4 HP, or 252 HP, then 152 Def/100 SpD? (4 Spe) Which will be more efficient?

When people build their teams, does everyone just use action replay or something like that to speed up the process, or are you supposed to do it all legit? Im talking about for competitive play in tournaments.

@ Ollie: For overall bulk you want 140/252/116. You could pair it with Rhyperior and EV it on only the Special side, but I'd go for the first option.

@ Vicious: Many people do for Smogon Tournaments, but remember that it is completely banned in the VGC and Nintendo tournaments. It is also illegal in Smogon tournaments to have illegal hax, which just means something you can not get in-game.

ok well how do they know in the vgc and nintendo tournaments if all your pokemon have been trained legit? I'm just wondering cuz I'm currently building a team and if I decide later to change something like ev's for a pokemon, it would take way too long to rebreed and train a whole new pokemon.

They have hack checks that can detect if you're pokemon is legit or not. The accuracy of said checks is debatable.

One way to get around it is to keep clones of your UT Lv.1 hatched pokemon, so that you don't have to RNG them again. As cfar as i know the cloning glitch is accepted by many players, though whether they pass checks you'll have to ask someone else, i don't know.

In Pokemon XD, what happens if you defeat Mirror B the final time with Dragonite? Does he stay at the Lighthouse, or does he resume his roaming shenanigans? Thank you! :D
