-_- Can someone please freakin' direct me to the help thread? I've been lurking for an hour now and I cannot seem to find it. Or the "Introduce-Yourself-Cuz-You're-A-Noob" thread would be awesomely excellent as well.

There is no "Introduce yourself because you're a noob" thread on Smogon because you are encouraged to immediately start being a fully functioning member of the community, or at least as much as possible. And this is essentially a help thread. And welcome to Smogon :)

Fabulous XD

Okay, what is the deal with these trade threads things and what is the best way to make a rudimentary one? I've been scouting the threads for a while now but I'm not entirely sure I get the idea. And what are credits? How you do get them and what are they worth?

Credits are a sort of currency. If you want someone's Pokemon, but have nothing they want, you can give them a credit in your thread for until you get something they want, or they can sort of be traded. Trade threads themselves are threads in which you showcase you stuff, while providing a place for people to offer trades to you, and are seen as a way of ensuring good relations and confidence, as compared to someone who does not have a trade thread. The best way to make one is to copy the format in other threads and start your own thread, with whatever stuff you have and whatever services you can give.

Yes, basically. Say I have a thread, and I give you a Pokemon, for which you give me one credit in your thread. It is then part of the honor system that you will allow me to use that credit in your thread as payment for one of your Pokemon in the future, or potentially one in another thread of your close friend or something, but then it just gets complicated. Look in the Wifi forum, where people will have lists of credits owed/owned and why.

The idea is that it is annoying for someone who painstaikingly breeds great Pokemon one at a time only to discover that everyone already has one. It is really up to the individual how redistributable their Pokemon are, because everyone has varying opinions on the subject.

Quick Heatran quesiton.

Is there any beneficial use for having a Quiet natured Heatran?
I've been trying to RNG him from wondercard since he comes with magma storm and eruption, but I'm noticing that his nature is static. Will always be Quiet. Which is a little upsetting. Also, I hit the exact delay and second, Flipped to frame 33 (RNG Reporter said 31 but Method 1 is +2 for wondercard pokemon), and got 31/31/31/and the other 3 stats were way off. Like 15s and stuff. Any reason?

TLDR: Is it worth having a non beneficial nature just to have Eruption?
Choice scarfed he'd hit 341 speed instead of 417. Huge difference =(

In HGSS, suppose I defeat Zapdos at the Power Plant. Let's also imagine that though I've defeated it, we know its Modest with x/x/x/31/x/31.

If I were to challenge it when it reappears, would it STILL be modest with that IV spread, or when you rechallenge it, does it generate a new nature and IV spread?

ta very much =)

Eruption needs Full Hp to be a good move. If you're slower than the opponent, that's much more difficult to happen. I would rather use Overheat with a Scarf (hit and run) or Specs (just destructive).

Looking for a shiny, nicknameable, male Weavile/Sneasel with Ice Shard and Fake Out
Worth 10 Pokemon from my thread

VM/PM me

I have 2 Corsola in Soul silver that has near perfect IV's in different stats. One of them had 27-31 in Special attack, 30-31 in Special Defense, and 31 in Speed. The second is less amazing, but still has a 29 Attack. That would be great, except they're both female.

Is there a way to breed them with compatible pokemon in order to merge this into one, and have a great pokemon for breeding other Water 1/Water 3 pokemon with good IV's?

Breed them both with Dittos until you get a male Corsola and a female Corsola with good IVs? Breed those until you get them perfect.

I'm just guessing, but it seems like it'd work if they're both females.

Females can only have eggs containing their lowest evolution, the only exceptions being Illumise and Nidoran. so the Eggs that they would breed will only give me more Corsola. I was hoping to have one that could pass great IV's on to other pokemon, maybe even ones in other breeding groups.

In that case, it'd be more chainbreeding. Breed both the Corsolas with a Ditto until they get a male and a female with good IVs (or just a male since you want the IVs on another Pokemon). Breed the male with that Pokemon and you should have decent IVs.

I've never IV-bred either, so I may be wrong.

Also, is it possible for both parents to pass down IVs to the baby if they have the items? I have a perfect-HP female Lapras and perfect-Defense male Lapras, so I'm just wondering. Thanks!

Every part of this sentence is wrong. lol.

Anyway,
@ Kipp: No, only one IV can be guaranteed by Power Items, but up to three can be transferred overall, as well as those which, by chance, happen to be the same.

@ Xtra: You will need to breed with a Ditto to get a male, and then breed again if you can be bothered to get another male with good IVs.

But I mean if I put a Power Item on each parent for their corresponding IV, would there be a chance of the egg having the good IVs of both parents?

If both parents are equipped with a Power Item, the game randomly chooses which parent's Power Item IV to pass down. There's a chance of the egg having the good IVs of both parents, but I don't think the odds of that happening will be increased due to the Power Items.
