Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Still trying to figure out what's wrong w/ my eggs. It can't just be my game, when I got it I RNG'd a great grass HP Raikou from the event w/ no problems, so it's either my eggs or the route or something.

I was actually. I even tried generating 90 adjacent results on either side, lol. But, to be honest, I only did the calibration process the first time 3 times, I was lazy. :p

Redoing it now though, I'm hitting 15 secs with a delay range of 490-506, 502 being the most common so far.

This, I can almost guarantee will get you no closer than 50 delays off. The process doesn't actually work the way you need it to work, that's why I always tell people to skip that kind of calibration. If you do it at all, you should never need to do it more than once.

Well, I've been failing horribly so I wanted to calibrate anyway.Do you think I might have my SID wrong? =/

SID has no effect on hitting seeds, just the shininess of PIDs. On a side note, try not to double post, edit stuff in instead.

Just one question, if two different delays have the same coin flips/elm calls, does that mean they have the same target frame points or no?

Well, I just had that a few weeks ago, while breeding my Porygon. When I got that Call Elm screen up, I move it a bit down so I can see what his answers will be. Got everything right, but when I pressed OK it said I just hit a totally different delay.

Since I got all the calls right, I just did as I had hit my right delay and checked more answers, and they all matched. So, if your coin flips/elm calls are identical to your seed you want to hit, I think you should continue calling. :)

I am still expiriencing the same problem. It tells me that no responses were found. I am doing everything correctly, I don't know what's up. (I can't hit the seed to put my parents in.)

Okay, first of all are you breeding for IVs or Shiny? Secondly, are you using power items / moonstone? (Apparently those can mess things up). If you would VM me with the details of what you're doing I can give you a hand, I've had my share of problems when RNGing.

Where can I find a Pokemart in Pearl without wandering NPCs for Wondercard Pokemon? It's frustratingly difficult to see how close, or far off you are from your seed (for calibration purposes) only to be thrown off by a wandering NPC.

For those curious about the same question for HeartGold and SoulSilver, you can find such a Pokemart in Celadon City.

When you click 'Seed to Time', do you have +/- 30 delays or lower? And how about your seconds? If you can't find responses, you should enlarge your area you are searching in, so you can adjust the timer. I'd say +/- 50 delays and +/- 1 sec (or 5, but I'm using 1)

So I'm guessing that's a yes?

What seed are you trying to hit?
What is your target second?
Do you have the "match even/odd delay" (or something like that) checked?

That stuff wouldn't result in missing a seed, it would just screw up the results.

I asked this before in the SQSR topic, and got this answer:

In HGSS, Fuchsia City. In DPPt, nowhere. There's a NPC in every Pokemart in DPPt.

Hope it helped you :)

So I'm guessing that's a yes?

Yes sir!

It did, and what a bummer. Gonna make RNGing the legendary beasts and Celebi a real pain in the ass on DPPt.

It is a pain, but if you have some roamers available in your game you can strategically kill a certain number of them to make hitting even or odd frames easier. If you have 0 roamers (caught/killed them all), then odd frames are much easier to hit in DPPt for Wondercards. If you have an odd number of roamers, then even frames are easier to hit :)

Hmmmm I searched a little and googled as well for pokewalker abuse guides/info or whatever. Although there are plenty of technical jargn the RNG researchers probably appreciate, my level of knowledge of this did not really allow me to understand how to Pokewalker abuse from that info. My googling skills only yielded a result of an example with a Brave spread and a capture date and some instructions. Although it seems fairly easy, is there a way or something I can find other natures spreads'?

If anyone could help me with a little tutorial on how to Pokewalker abuse that'd be great :) Other than the Brave natured pokemon or how to get to those numbers and stuff :P

None. Although I made a mistake typing that; it's actually 11:30:50.
But yeah, no matches. It always starts out right, but then the second call should be Evo and he starts talking about Kanto. But he also talks about evolution in the same call, which confuses me. =/
This is getting very frustrating. (I've tried both Pikatimer and zomgtimer.)

I have the Match Odd/even box checked. My delay is set to +/- 99 and my seconds +/- 5.

My target delay is 890
Target time is 11:30:50

That box is probably your problem. Uncheck and regenerate.

I do find it odd that you were hitting even during "calibration." But see if that makes any results appear.

What you mention with the calls, if he mentions Kanto, that's K. If he says "There are so many ways in which pokemon evolve" that's E - there's no mention of Kanto here..
