Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Can someone explain to me what's going on? I've RNGed dozens of pokes, hatching shinies, catching shiny legendaries, picking up wondercard pokes, but I didn't do it for about a week, and suddenly I keep hitting seeds a full second to three seconds off. I can't explain it. I'm doing everything the way I always have - PokeRNG for seeds, PikaTimer for timing. I have Entei and Latias free who I use to quickly check seed, but when it isn't one within 10 or so delay units, I still call Elm to see where I landed, and often it's in the same area but one to three seconds higher or lower. I still can hit 2 delay units off or in the same area, but I keep hitting these really bizarre seconds-off seeds and it's really bothering me.

Anyone have any insight? How could my timing suddenly be so far off?

Switch to ZomgTimer instead of PikaTimer.

When RNGing a Wondercard, "When searching for an IV spread, the nature attached is completely irrelevant as the PID and IVs are not coupled for Wondercard Pokémon as they are for method 1."
Does this mean I can't predict/abuse for a nature, I must keep going until I get the right one?

Exactly, unless the nature is fixed, like the Shiny Dogs.

I'm about to go for my shiny Groudon and it's on frame 365. Do the Elm calls I make to verify that I hit my seed move the frame by 1? And further more, once I confirm that I hit my seed, what's the quickest way to move up to 365? This is for Soulsilver.

Also, should I save in front of Groudon like you would for egg IVs?

Yes, every call you make to Elm advances the frame by 1. And then you should use the Radio, by repeatedly tuning in and out of Pokémon Talk (the upper right station) this advances the frame by 13-14. Be sure to call Elm a few times in between so you can keep track of where you are. Good luck!

How do you keep track of where you are by calling Elm?

Copy the seed into the main RNG Reporter window, choose Method K, a sync nature if you're using one, and click generate, this'll give you a list of all frames and their corresponding Elm letter, E,K, or P. Advance using the radio, and then call Elm 7-10 times, write the letters down, and then find the combination by scrolling through the frames.

Oh I see. Thanks.

I have had RNG reporter 8.31 installed on my computer for months, and have used it many times just fine. However today, it comes up with Microsoft.net framework unhandled expectation, configuration has failed to initialize. I press continue and it loads up, but it just can't do anything without coming up with an error?

I have since tried to install the latest microsoft.net framework packages and re downloaded RNG reporter, and still the same error. I don't understand how it could work fine a few days ago, and fail today? Do any of you have any suggestions on how i could fix it?

Okay but how can I avoid the NPC? Or how can I continue to RNG starting on frame 2? Do I use the +/- feature? Or do I just have to start all over again? If I have to hit 8 frames. Do I only do 5 frames and the other to pick the egg up? Or do I just do 8 frames as usual?

Can someone please tell me :(

Can someone please tell me :(

You're talking about RNGing for egg IVs, correct?

Well, to avoid the NPC, there's really no sure fire way. You have to be super fast. If the NPC is giving you a lot of trouble, try to go into the game, wait a few seconds, then re-save in front of the Day-Care man, hoping that the NPC is not moving as fast as he was before.

And, if you need to hit frame 8, you only have to call Elm 7 times (Unless, of course, you skipped 2 frames for some reason, that happens to me sometimes).

Hope I helped. :]

can anyone please tell me which method do I use to RNG wondercard pkm? ^^
Is it method 1?

Oh no never mind, I guess is "wondercard Ivs" method right? ^^
so can anyone tell me how to start?

Thanks for the help Kittenmay. :)
But how do I start? do I just download the pokemon and then save in front of the delivery man, and I just start RNGing from there?

Download the Pokémon, go into the Cerulean Pokémart, which doesn't have any moving NPC's, save in front of the deliveryman, and then do the RNG part :p
