Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 24 (READ THE OP)

Alright, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to breed an Azumarill with both Aqua Jet and Body Slam (It IS legit, you can breed, say, a Dewgong tutored Body Slam from the third gen and taught AJ in the fourth gen).

I'm having trouble deciding if it is practical or not because I know the biggest problem with using Azumarill is its low speed, and while Aqua Jet is a useful priority, Body Slam would give it a useful way to paralyze foes, which would be quite useful. Since I'm not looking at using a CB set, I won't be 2Koing Slowbro anytime soon, but I'm not sure if the power is sufficient for other things.

Help?

Two simple questions:
1) Is the Smogon server on Pokemon Online just for tourneys and stuff, or should I use that for ladder matches instead of the PO server?
2) What's a good way to stop Wish-Protecting?

1) No, there is a laddering option.
2) Toxic is a good idea, hitting it hard enough so that it can't is a good idea. It really depends on the Pokemon you are having trouble with.

EDIT: Steel Tyranitar, I wouldn't bother. Body Slam is not that helpful for Azumarill. It generally needs all the moveslots it can get, and other moves are just more important. Check out the analysis: www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/azumarill

More simple questions:
1) If I have a Lum Berry on a pokemon and it uses it in an in-game battle (say against the Elite Four), is it used forever?
2) What if I use it in the Battle Tower?
3) What if I use it in a Wi-Fi battle?

Hey, this isn't exactly a Pokemon-related question but I'm not sure where else to ask, so...

Was the "What if (pokemon) was a different type" thread deleted or just unstickied? I looked around and I can't find it, and I'm sort of disappointed since I have a ton of retyped Surskits.

Is it frowned upon to have an Azure Flute Arceus because of its association with AR?

I consider it hacked, since you cannot get it without the use of an Action Replay, but lots (most?) of people don't. It's up to you. Keep in mind that you shouldn't use it for competitive play, since not even Pokémon Simulators allow it (the maz EV's for each stat are 100).

If the female pokemon holds an everstone while breeding, it allows the nature of the pokemon to have a 50% chance to be passed on to the offspring. Does the same apply to a pokemon with the desired nature bred with a Ditto?

What are some special late game sweepers? All I can think of is Empoleon :/
I'm not too clear on this, but Starmie can work if your opponent is sufficiently weakened. CM Jirachi can sweep through some teams. I don't think there are too many special sweepers, though, due to the prevalence of Blissey.

Hi,

Other than I'm really not in the mood to type all these stuff and I'm really new to HO, and so I'll just post it here. Here are the members.

Standard Suicide Lead Azelf.
Dragon Dance Mence, Ttar, and Gyarados.
AgiliGross
SD Luke.

Who is the sturdiest Physical wall to wall me?
Once I get all the idea in HO, I'll post a team focusing HO.

Huh? If you want to petition for Mence coming down again, then don't bother, because you will be trolled for a long time and then the thread will be locked. You will just make a fool of yourself, as much because there have been many threads like it in the past as because people will think you're wrong. If you want to just get ideas on a metagame with Mence, then just make it obvious wherever you talk about it and you should be fine. The RMT forum allows custon rulesets. As for the team, Skarmory really does a number on most of your team, but I find it hard to believe that you didn't see that based on you asking for a Sturdy physical wall.

Hmm.. I have to agree with you, and since everyone has moved to 5th gen, they won't really bother. On Skarmory, it dies on Mence's Fire Blast but since it's Uber(which really shouldn't be), I'll have to find another sweeper. Any suggestion's on this? Thanks once again.

Dragonite is always a good replacement for Mence. You could try a mixed sweeper set like the one on-site, because it is very good in the current metagame and can OHKO some Skarmory if the wind is blowing in the right direction.

Oh yeah. I completely forgot about Dragonite. I want to use the Bulky DD set, but that wouldn't really help. Fire Blast is a sure KO right? Or maybe, I can just substitute Gengar here. It gives me a good Fighting immunity. I think it can also kill Skarm with Tbolt. Or I can use Starmie. While Starmie has better speed and has Ice beam, Gengar has better SpA and has Destiny Bond, which ensures a kill. Which one?

Gar won't beat Starmie. It loses on speed and can't switch in. Bulky DD Nite also can't OHKO Skarm with Fire Blast. I'd go with MixNite, which might even lure in Skarm if you feign a physical set.

No, I meant, which one is my choice. And on Dragonite, just like you said, I won't be able to battle Skarmory. "Fire Blast is a sure KO right?" I meant the Mixed set. Sorry.. lol. If I use Starmie, better speed. If I use Gengar, better SpA. Which one?
