So I need some advice for the shiny relaxed suicune.

I was thinking:
Substitute
Aqua Ring
Calm Mind
Surf

I mean, I want to utilize at least one of the event moves... is there even a set where air slash would be worth it? Doesn't seem like it to me.

Now as to the EVs, I'm stuck. HP is a given. Then should I dump the rest into defense to be a pretty damn annoying tank? Or should they go into SPATK?

I have some Secret ID questions.
2. If a person were to edit their SID, would that actually change the Shinies they can encounter in the wild?
Yes.
Would the Pokemon still be considered legitamate?
:)
It really depends, for Battles in the "battle me thread" in really doesn't matter as long as you say you use "legal hacks".

On the other hand, for trades on wi-fi forum (and on smogon in general) it would be considered a hack since there are some restrictions in the ID/SID combo.(That can be clearly solved by anyone using the Pandora box on RNG reporter). My suggestion is if you want to do that go to RNG thread on wi-fi forum to learn how to abuse it in a legit way. Since we have plenty of studies in that matter.

If a pokemon has a substitute up, is it immune to roar and whirlwind?

Edit: This was poorly asked. If Poliwhirl has a sub up, and my Skarmory uses Whirlwind, will the pokemon that is dragged in, still be behind Poli's sub?

The UK celebi event that's on in GAME tomorrow.. how far do you have to be in HGSS to obtain it? Can we get the celebi on our other 4th gen games as well?

also no. the sub is gone you see? the new poke wont have the sub and poli wont have his sub back when he switchs in again.

Is there a better place to ask my last question?:

Or is this pretty much the only place for it?

And another question.
The scenario is this, the opponent's Pokemon used a move last turn.
This turn it get's Tricked and is given a Choice item. What happens if the opponent selected a different move for this turn? Will it still use that move, will it revert to the move used last turn, or will it not do anything?

If the opponent is slower than the tricker (i.e. trick is used before the opponent used a move), then the opponent is locked into that move. If the opponent used a move and then trick is used. The opponent is free to use another move next turn but that move will be locked onwards until it switches out.

I.e. Scenario 1:
Turn 1: You switch in tricker. Op used move X.
Turn 2: You use trick. Op used move Y. (Op can choose to use a different move here)
Turn 3 onwards until Op switches, op is locked into move Y.

Scenario 2:
Turn 1: You switch in tricker. Op used move X.
Turn 2: Op used move Y. You trick.
Turn 3: Op used move Z (Op can still use another move). You do something.
Turn 4 onwards. Op is locked into move Z.

I.e. it does Not work exactly like Encore even though it's similar.

So I was breeding a Gastrodon, since I'm gonna wanto to use it in 5th gen. I had the blue form and a Ditto but I only hatched pink ones.D= So the only way to breed a blue one is to have a blue mother? (I'd really prefer that form.xD)

It might depend on where you hatch it (like east and west of Mt. Coronet). O h, and btw, BLUE>PINK ALL THE TIME BABY!!!!!! :P

I was breeding in SS and Blue father + Ditto always resulted in Pink. Then I tested in Plat and the Hatch location had no effect. The only way I could hatch Blue Shellos was by having a Blue mother. Weird how the pink one if favored like this.

So Blaziken has High Jump Kick? And from what I know, you can only get it through Move Remember. Is it available in every version? From D/P/Pt/HG/SS to B/W? Or only in B/W?

Hello, I am obv new and noob as you can see by my post count <--- (lol.. ._.`) but i am trying to make the best out of generation 5's release on cartridge so i have been reading through the articles.

I need some clarification with EV training, i understand the values, and how there can be max of 252 , 63 in each stat, etc., but as for actually implementing it through training, is as easy as just fainting a couple of the pokes mentioned who strengthen certain types? it does not require actually physically leveling up? (assuming that will happen as you progress as EV training) i guess i am just confused about comparing two pokes that are the same race, nature, and have no EV training if they are the same or not, i know different variables occur. sorry if i am completely nub, you can bash me if u wish, but i promise i will rise from the ashes, with help of course. thanks.

lol. Anyway, you do just need to battle the Pokemon to get the EVs. However, you do need to level up to get the stat points associated with the new EVs.

Alright, gunna want this answered for Gen V as well, but I figured I'd ask here since this is the specific gen I'm using ATM.

When breeding, as far as passing down moves go, I didn't know level-up moves had to be known by both parents. I find that weird and inconvenient. But alas.
My question is, since TM and EGG moves can be bred directly through the male to the babies, if the move is a TM but can be learned through level (things like Ice Beam, EQ, ect), will it actually differentiate whether or not you taught it through level or TM, and if not, how is it determined as far as passing them down?
An example, Lapras learns Ice Beam through level-up, but also as a TM. If I just level up the male, will it pass Ice Beam down because it can also be a TM? If I teach it the Ice Beam TM, will the mom(assume it's a Lapras too) need to know it because it's a level-up move too? How does this work?

Why does a subseed Cekebi need 252 Speed EVs exactly? Is it just so you can outspeed anything you are capable of to get a sub out before their attack and before you get taunted?

Basically, A SubSeeder usually has to be as Fast as Possible to pull their strategy off.
