Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Why can't I find any good spreads in the spreadsheet that Smogon provides for Method 2 in Emerald RNG? I can't find a perfect 31/31/31/31/31/31 in it.
 
Ok. So i'm following Alternative's HGSS Breeding guide,

I can hit my target seconds and delay of 495, the Elm calls match, I put my pokemon in the daycare, ride around goldenrod until i get a call from the Daycare man, (save) and take the egg. Yet the egg won't have my desired nature.

I've tried with 2 different spreads with an Adamant nature, with frames of 3 and 1. With the frame of 3, I call Joey once and then take the egg, and with the frame of 1 I take the egg straight away (as Joey advances frame by 2). Am I doing this right?


Also what's confusing me, is doesn't things e.g. Moving in Areas with Wild pkmn, NPC's moving in Goldenrod etc, and calling Elm advance the frame also? It doesn't say anything about using Elm to advance the frame in the guide, as long as the calls match.

Can't see what im doing wrong. :x
 
Elm doesn't advance egg frames, nor does the NPCs in goldenrod. Is the daycareman calling you to tell you the egg is ready?
I don't know about moving on grass, but riding on the "solid ground" does nothing to the egg frames.

I'm using the Shiny Egg tab, there is no HGSS inheritance checkbox, as im just try to get the nature right for the first part.

And i let the daycare man call me before i pick up the egg, yes.
 
There IS a check box that says HGSS Shiny Egg. You HAVE to click that, shiny or not. If you DON'T want a shiny, just make the ID's 00000. Look for it, and you need to check it.



Now, on to my question:

I have wild encounter frame and the encounter slots match up and what not.
However, it is a swarm pokemon; Sableye. Can someone tell me a way to guarantee a specific swarm pokemon on a specific day?
 
So there is absolutely no way to RNG the nature of the gamestop celebi? Just got a HP Fire 70 one 31/22/31/30/31/30 but it's... SERIOUS wtf.

If he is getting the eggs on frame 1 and 3, then the HGSS egg box IS checked.

If you chance the DS dathe the swarm doesn't change right? unless you change the hour to 23:59 and wait out the day-change while in-game. At least that's how it when on DPPt, if I remember right...

I still haven't got my mew's nature right - yup, last year's mew. Plus you got a celebi in your grubby paws! The Celebi distribution over here will only happen a few states away from where i live. ;.;

Right.. as long as the time doesn't switch over, the swarm is the same.
 
I'm new to HGSS RNG. Everything in the first few posts are really confusing to me. I saw bearsfan video for Suicune and I want to do it. But one thing I don't understand is the frame, seed, and the timer thing.

Also, to do this RNG for Suicune, do I REALLY need Togepi and the Pokerus? I had already traded them in the past, so I hope there's a way to do this without the prerequisites. Please help. All of this is confusing to me, but I really want to learn this, thanks.

You need to make sure you get all possible Elm responses when you call him. The E which is him talking about evolution. The P which is him talking about Pokerus. And the K which is him talking about Kanto. If you haven't shown him Togepi or have gone to the Pokemon Center with a Pokemon who's infected with Pokerus, you won't get some of those responses. So I suggest you make some calls and make sure that you get all 3 responses.

The timer helps telling you when you have to press A to start loading your game and when to press A on the Continue screen.

The seed is basically what you have to hit to get the results you want. So for example if you want a Suicune with 31/31/31/30/31/31 you'll have to find a seed that will give you those results and then try to hit that seed. You know you hit your seed when the Elm responses you get match up with whatever RNG Reporter says. Then you'll need to advance the frame to whatever is needed.

The frame I can't really explain all that well. Just know that one Elm call advances the frame by 1, and one Youngster Joey calls advances the frame by 2. So if your target frame is 20 you would call Elm 19 times and encounter Suicune since that would also advance by 1.

I can help you through this process more when I get home in another hour or so. So let me know if you need more help.
 
Ok so I was able to transfer my little brothers Togepi (HG) to my Soul Silver. Then I healed it, and the Nurse said my Pokemon may be infected by Pokerus. After that I called, and got K, E, P. Right now I saved in front of Suicune. So if you're able to help me when you get home, may I ask for a little of your time? It seems like you are very familiar on how to successfully pull this off. All I need is a little time to see if I can pull out some good IVs with Suicune or flawless IF possible. I'll be on Smogon, but if you get home and stuff you can contact me through PM if I'm not paying attention on the forums or AIM me.

This is something I was to accomplish for my future trade thread and to help others as well when I can constantly do this with no problem. :)

Oh lord haha. I keep getting that NPC. Anyway. I've stopped before taking any more action or risking anything. So lemme go over this. If I start on Call 3. And my target is 8 Frames. Do I make 4 calls and then pick up the egg for my 8th frame. Or do I just do 7 calls again even though I started on Frame / Call 3?

dude...i had a problem on catching a Zapdos in heartgold....
what his Frame and where to save..?
i hit the right delay twice ( match with elm responses ) but its not a shiny and IVs i want..? this is my target - frame 25, delay 1073..
I have RNG shiny mewtwo and suicune before and its working...

hope anyone can help me..
