Dream World Serperior isn't released yet, and with all current variants only carrying Overgrow, it really can't hold its own n the standard enviornment at the moment.serperior is still on the list
DW ability + leaf storm + 113 speed= sweep
Well, I mentioned Poliwrath after saying Qwilfish but apparently you missed it. Like you told me to, here I am...
Poliwrath relied on his ability and Drizzle to be effective. Even before Aldaron's proposal, it was difficult for it to set up. Now, with its mediocre speed and average stats, paired with the amazing Fighting-types in OU right now make it not worthy of an analysis.
While it does have that niche, I found it is still pretty bad. First, it isn't that bulky. I find it pretty hard to switch in, then take a hit to use Mean Look, then take another to Perish Song. Yeah, Roost helps, but many of the stronger pokemon can still 2HKO. Second, it's setup bait if the opponent has Swords Dance (with 16 more PP than Featherdance I think) or a move that boosts special attack. Third, I said before that it can't take the strongest of hits. Well, the weaker bulkier pokemon often have moves like Toxic, Will-O-Wisp or Leech Seed, and since Perish Trapping takes 4 end of turns to execute (more if you switch in, Roost before stalling, etc.) good luck taking hits when you have to deal with those, too. Last, I can almost never get the same trick to work twice. And a pokemon that can sacrifice itself to possibly remove some weak but nonstall pokemon is pretty worthless.I approve, apart from Murkrow. A specially bulky set with priority Feather Dance, Roost, Mean Look and Perish Song can take hits, and it has good resistances/immunities for switching in.
I think Honchkrow should be removed from this list because it can completely demolish Reuniculus, especially the Trick Room set. Even with the power creep he has a very high attack, a strong priority move and decent move pool.
SevenDeadlySins said:Talked to the other QC guys for this one, and got agreements from Eo and Setsuna for this one: Honchkrow is being added to the list. It wasn't good in Generation 4, and it's just gotten worse in Generation 5. It's slow, weak to SR, and not strong enough to muscle through the things that it needs to deal with. Moxie is also kinda silly on it, as it doesn't really fix any of Honchkrow's big issues. It WOULD fix the whole "loses Attack when it kills something with Superpower" thing, but it doesn't even get Superpower with it! It also doesn't get Heat Wave, which makes it suck even more.
I like Honchkrow too, but I can see why it's not getting an OU analysis. QC has good reasons not to add Honchkrow (which is why most of its sets got passed off in the shift from UU to BL last generation).
Moltres is actually amazing when Stealth Rock is off the field (which is actually quite easy as it often never gets on the field especially with Magic Bounce/Coat and there's still Rapid Spin). This generation, it got Flame Charge to get rid of its speed problem, and it also gets Will-O-Wisp, which when combined with Pressure and Roost, can make Moltres stall out Stone Edges and stuff like that. Its Fire Blast has a much higher base power than Zapdos' Thunderbolt, while it also has decent flying STAB (Air Slash). While it lacks the powerful Volt Switch that can make Zapdos a deadly scouter, it still has U-turn coming off a slightly higher attack (same as Flygon's). Finally, it makes an extremely powerful Sun sweeper, with Flame Charge, Fire Blast/Flamethrower, SolarBeam and some filler (Air Slash, Hidden Power, Roost, etc.)Looks like Leafeon is gonna be added (no suprise there). I think Moltres should be finally included as well.
This metagame is even more hostile to Slaking than the last one, thanks to stuff like Shandera, Burungeru and Roobushin all being top tier threats and all taking out physical Normal types fairly easily. Not to mention he's killed by anything faster with Substitute, or anything with Protect.Slaking on the list? My, my you guys don't dig deep enough do you?
I thought only Zapdos got Agility...isn't flame charge moltres outclassed by agility? People forget he has that. Anyway, I kind of feel that he's outclassed by charizard, who has better initial speed, a wider movepool and more power under the sun. Therefore, i think that moltres should be added to the list.
