Was anyone else impressed by the story in these games? It may just be the new-game high talking, but I think B/W have the best writing out of any Pokemon game to date. It still shares a lot of weaknesses with Japanese media aimed at kids - I.E, overblown scenarios, overstated theme, etc. But still, I couldn't help but feel a little emotional at the end there. In general, there were more weighty ideas than have ever show up in the series. Bianca being held back by her overbearing Dad, the ethics of capturing and battling Pokemon (although the ambiguity of this was kind of ruined at the end). I was surprisingly moved.
I agree, i feel like im just being pulled along by other people.. and having to do all these tasks for people, rather than doing my journey.. accomplishing my own things.. and being babied as well. guys.. come on.. i've been doing this for years.
Bah, back when I was a mere 8 years old, I played Final Fantasy 1 on the NES, and BEAT it.Gotta give them some credit though. They have to baby it a little for people who are restarting their pokemon journey again and for the little kids. :P
Btw has anyone witness the new mechanics 'critical catch', if so how do you do it? It would be brilliant to know how to catch any pokemon without fail
I can confirm this as true. I've had it happen on not only random Pokemon, but on Victini and Zekrom using a 1x catchrate Poke Ball.\Supposedly, the Poke Ball makes a slightly different "whoosh" sound when thrown, and only shakes once before locking the Pokemon in. Can anyone confirm?
Why wait 2-3 years, when you can use it now? Also, what are some tips about Reshiram? Should I even bother with it, or should I just forget about catching it until 3rd version?
What does everyone else think is the most annoying mon to go up against? Myself, every time I saw the words "The opponent ____ is about to send out Sigilyph!" I braced myself. God, nothing kills that thing. Not even my Acrobatics Archeos could OHKO it. >_<

Going to have to ask this in the SASQ thread but if you don't have any pokeballs to catch the title Legends with, what happens then? Surely they wouldn't stick you into a "un-winnable" situation just because you lack any balls to catch the damn thing.Er...you need your entire PC filled up before you battle it in N's Castle to make it appear in Dragonspiral Tower. Or else you MUST capture it in N's Castle.
A Team Plasma member will give you a free Ultra Ball should you ever run out of them.Going to have to ask this in the SASQ thread but if you don't have any pokeballs to catch the title Legends with, what happens then?
