If a pokémon with the ability Simple baton passes its stat modifications, does it pass normal mods or x2 mods? And if a pokémon already has stat modifications and then becomes Simple, will its prior modifications be doubled or only ones after the ability change?

I'm curious about the repercussions of the move Simple Beam.
 
Hey all! I've been soft-resetting my White version for three or four days now, at least, trying to get a decently-IVed Zekrom. The one that I just got I'm tempted to keep, just because I'm really getting tired of soft-resetting for so long and not moving on with the game. Here's the info:

Nature: Adamant
IVs
HP: 8-9
Atk: 26-27
Def: 16-17
SpA: 22-23
SpD: 18-19
Spd: 26-27

Hp is a little bit low but if you are tired and want to move on then you might as well, it's certainly not the worst Iv spread imaginable.
(If it was me I'd keep trying however)

Thanks! Out of curiousity, what would you say is a good IV spread to shoot for? Should I try to keep going until all the IVs are 20+, or is that too much to hope for?

To make a conservative spread for general in game use Twenty+ in all is a decent spread.

Though if you wanted to use for say Ubers battling or for Trade I'd aim for the High twenty's with at least two well placed thirties/ones. But to obtain that requires a lot of effort/luck.

Eesh...yeah. The odds of getting two random 30/31s are pretty low...combining that with an appropriate nature = yee gads!

To enter the VGC, I know there cannot be any cheated Pokemon, but does TMs acquired through AR count as "cheated" (Assuming I trade to another game to obtain them)?

Cheated Pokemon If I am correct only refers to the Pokemon itself being tampered with. That in mind if you use a TM you acquired via an AR it shouldn't matter as you are not directly tampering with the Pokemon.
 
Smogon is the german name for Koffing. (Why that name was chosen is another matter. I think one of the early Smog newsletters may mention it.)
