5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I need some help, a really strange problem showed up..

I'm trying to capture Reshiram (Non-shiny) with the C-Gear Method. The seed is C157857B and the Frame is 12. The Delay is 1951 and my Mac Adress 497DD1. I had already successfully RNGd some other stationary pokemon.

So I started to check my initial delay by capturing Reshiram (immediately after I hit "yes" in the C-Gear, without advancing the frame) and checking its IVs. The RNG reporter however, can't find anything when I search this spread with "Search IVs"
I chose Delays -+10 and Seconds -+1 and I'm absolutely sure that I at least hit the right second (I did this several times already, and never had any problems until now).

Could someone help me please? ;(

Start by searching a larger delay range.

I have a problem. I searched for a shiny non-c-gear spread with certain IVs, but the frames of the shiny spreads the time finder gave me were wrong. in fact, if I put the seeds in the main window of the rngreporter and click on "generate", it tells me that the shiny spreads are different. I got a pokemon with the nature's spread that the timer finder gave me as shiny and it was not shiny. I'm sure I got the right seed and spread, so the problem is the time finder.

Go back to the first page and re-read the rules on asking for help here. We can't help you if you don't follow procedure.

I had the same problem. It would've been really nice if the time finder was consistant with shiny frames. I had to check each seed in the main window until I got a seed whose frame and nature corresponded with the time finder in order to get my desired shiny cobalion.

You wouldn't have a problem if you searched the correct encounter type in both the Time Finder and main window (Stationary Pokémon).

I wanted to edit my previous post to say that the time finder does not fail every time with shiny spreads, but I will write it here.

edit: I was not asking for help, I was only saying that sometimes the time finder does not give correct frames for shiny spreads, if you search them with the method "5 (Standard Seed)".

Yes.

Alternatively, you could search in timefinder with those IVs (if you can narrow them down to exact IVs by leveling up with rare candies, for example) and set your max frame to 5, though this will take longer.

THANK YOU FOR THIS INFO!! This was crucial in me figuring out what I was doing wrong. Turns out my alt timer0 value was more frequent...AND I wasn't hitting the keypress early enough.

Note: Using a max repel after running out or accidently running into a gem in a cave does not change your IVs. Keep going and don 't worry about it being screwed up, because I got my target spread in this fashion.

After I read your reply I thought that would be the issue. The thing is, when I looked for the encounter type on the main window, I couldn't find it. Am I overlooking something? (I have Stationary Pokemon as the encounter type in the Time Finder.)

Edit: I'm using RNG Reporter 9 BETA 4

It's kinda off to the side iirc. Make the window wider.

Does the one rotating NPC on the second level of the Celestial Tower affect the PID? I've tested my seed several times and I hit 4 different natures with the PID ranging between 50 and 60.

OmegaDonut: The latest RNG Reporter (9b4) still complains at me about needing .NET 4.0 unless I delete the RNGReporter.exe.config file. Is there anything in there that it needs, or is it safe to run with the file missing?

Tyvm to you and omega. This made the shiny frames correct in both windows.

Easier yes, but also slower than turning.

Hm, alright. Well I just wasted 25 minutes to see I finished 100 too high or 100 frames too low, and I don't know how I did it xD if it takes an hour to get to the right shiny spread, then I guess it'll be worth it

Make sure you get 2 chatots for efficiency. (Place them next to each other in your party and just press up then down while looking at their summary)

I forgot to change it back to .NET 2.0. I'll release a beta 5 in an hour or two that fixes this (among a lot of other fixes).

I'm trying to use the non-C Gear method. I get the IVs, do the time right, and etc., but I never can get any results. None.

I don't get what I'm doing wrong. I have the Mac Adress, Pokemon Black (English) set, a DS Lite, the time: 4:41:05, the date: 04/05/11: and the IVs down.

Is there a way to tell if a swirling dust spot will have a gem or a Pokemon? Had a nasty time the other day dealing with gems when I was going for an Excadrill.

I'm still trying to RNG that Zoroark in Lostlorn Forest (from the shiny beasts event) using the standard (Method 5, non C-gear) method. I picked a target frame of 1 and target seed of E85B6F3E1105054F (IVs 31/29/31/31/31/31). My DS Lite's MAC Address is 00-16-56-A4-1A-DA. I am also using a timid Alakazam to synchronize the nature of the Zoroark. However, I have been getting some slightly off results. The synch hasn't been working and I have been getting an Adamant Nature with the right IVs, so I'm wondering if something is wrong here...

I tried the method that bearsfan092 mentioned with saving once, then saving twice, then saving three times, etc. up to ten times, but I'm still getting an Adamant nature? Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Edit: Nevermind, I got it after 15 saves. Don't waste your time answering this question.

Quick question. I am using the Method 5 Standard RNG Abuse method and was wondering if using a registered pass power (capture power ^) during the RNG process (since I would have to turn the C-gear on) would somehow change the frame or anything. Hopefully, I can make catching these pokemon a bit easier.

im trying to rng zekrom on white. I still have no idea yet how to start, and i saw some posts saying that i need to lose a battle in order to check for the nature, how should i rng for this, and what nature do you guys recommend?

Another minor issue I noticed. When you export time finder results to a CSV it displayes the KeyPresses as numbers instead of "Right", "Y", "None", etc.
