I´m breeding for a mixed wall ferrothorn.. planed to get relaxed 31/31/31/x/31/x( with a preferible low spd iv)
252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpDef
-stealth rock
-leech seed
-power whip
-gyro ball

get a sassy 31/31/31/15/31/15... question... good enough?
what ev distribution I need for a good mixed wall with this nature.. do I need to put much more in defense now or base def is enough?

Didn't know if this question was best asked here or in the Hitmontop thread, but here goes:

I'm looking to raise an Adamant Hitmontop, but when trying to figure out its EV spread, I realized that in order to evolve Tyrogue into Hitmontop, its Atk and Def stats must be identical when it reaches level 20. Obviously, without an EV spread heavily slanted toward defense, it won't be possible to accomplish this. But since there are no EV-reducing berries in Gen V, I won't be able to remove the Defense EVs after it evolves, leaving me with a permanent undesirable EV spread. Is there any way to work around this?

simply go with full SDef EVs Derrothorns base def is usually high enough to tank the physical hits you want him to take.

Lagging tail makes you always go last, so I'd suspect you would set up rain after the sand.

However, you could just be safe and use an Iron Ball, which would half your speed; which is definitely lower than the other starters.

Yeah I know about iron ball, I was just wondering, because its based on speed, and oddly speed and proirity are sometimes counted at diferent things, like a trick room. Your probably right though, it makes sense.

All right, I was playing on PO, and someone used a zoroak. Now, it kept becoming a machamp, but when the actual machamp came in, I could tell. How? Zoroak was a shiny and it transformed into shiny machamp whereas machamp was normal when it came in it wasn't shiny. So, in game does zoroak keep its shinyness when tranforming due to illusion or is this just a mistake in PO? Similarly, if zoroak transforms into a shiny pokemon due to illusion, will it become shiny while illusion is active?

This is a glitch with PO; I just tested it.

I used my Non-shiny Zoroark with a Shiny Scizor in the back. Zoroark became a Shiny Scizor.

Question: is there a way to transport multiple Pokemon at once across your boxes like you could do in previous generations? (Pressing Y [In Platinum] to make your selector automatic and then clicking and dragging across any Pokemon you wanted to move)

The quickest way I know is to hold the Pokemon (Move Pokemon option) with your stylus and these boxes come up and you just drop them in whatever number you want to.

Has any testing been done on iron ball/lagging tail with regards to the weight affected moves like Heat Crash and Heavy Slam? I'm not so sure on iron ball but the description of Lagging Tail says its "tremendously heavy" and not, would someone be willing to test with me?

Does the old gts evolution thing still work? Namely the one where you deposit a pokemon that evolves by trading, making a random trade and when you withdraw your mon it evolves. If so, will this process work for excalivar/accelgor?

what would be better for Volcarona in sun:

ChestoResto:
+ status removal
+one time instant full heal
+works in other weather as well
-no lefties
- second time using rest is risky

Morning Sun:
+ Lefties
+ always heals 66%
- no status immunity
- no one-time full heal.
- doesn't work in other weather conditions

I've been using the moonlight one, but I've been getting a lot of trouble with the opponent Toxicing when I set up. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also, what is the most common Tyranitar set (especcialy the EV spread I'm looking for) I want to know how much I must invest in Dugtrio's Attack for it to kill. Because, i run a sun team, and it is just so much fun to kill the opponent's weather poke, with a UU poke. no seriously, Dugtrio does really well on Sun teams.

I wanna start a heavy Offensive team based around CSGarchomp and CBInfernape (Possibly Mixape). What would be some good pokes to put with them? I was thinking a Toxistall Gliscor, but I would still need 3 more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

@Stover. You need something to take ice hits, considering Garchomp and Gliscor are both Four times weak to it. Either a Vaporeon or every bodies favourite Blissey. Have you considered maybe a Choice Scarf Tyranitar, A for for setting up sandstorm for your Garchomp and B it's probably the most offensive Tyranitar set.

^ Vaporeon with Heal bell, for when your dear Chomp gets WoW'd. And Vaporeon is in general a good addition to your team. Wish is also pretty useful. I've only used heavy offense once, and trickscarf Uxie with dual screens and U-Turn works great. Also used Kojondo. Kojondo= ultimate scout (except for that one CAP poke) something like Fake Out/HJK/Stone Edge/U-Turn?

Just my opinion.

EDIT: Misty and I both seem to think Vaporeon is a good teammate. I'd really suggest trying it out.

What are some good phazers for an ingame Wifi team (preferably no legendaries, since I can't RNG for them)? They must be able to reach their full potential without Gen 4 only moves.

EDIT: Do Circle Throw and Dragon Tail hit through Substitutes?

That standard Mienshao(Kojondo) set is so handy. HJK OHKO's a ferrethorn after fakeout (providing it doesn't miss) and everything takes serious damage.

As for Vaporeon water absorb lets it cover both Gliscor weaknesses and will also help Garchomp plus who doesn't like wish and heal bell. So yes definitely give it a try.

@xMistyx thanks for helping out again, you helped me on my last set a little bit. I was considering a sandstorm team with a Lead TTar, but at the time I was running a Mixape and was worried he would rack up too much unnecessary damage from SS and LO; guess I could CB him instead. So final team would be TTar(choice scarf), Garchomp(choice scarf), Infernape(choice band), Gliscor(toxistall), Vaporeon(wish), Excadrill(balloon). As what SS team would be complete without Excadrill? My main worry would be too much choiced, but then again that would make it heavily offensive. Any thoughts?

EDIT - few posts came out while I was typing this, used a friends Mienshao once, not sure if I like it or not.
